In this hike I will bring you across an incredibly dangerous and beautiful landscapes with awesome views of the Oregon coast, it truly is an unforgettable experience. This is one of the most popular places in the southern coast with images recognized worldwide, and after completing my hike I understood why.
Thank you very much for watching this video, until next time!
Bye.
Wow! How beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Wish I can go there one day. Greetings from Austria 💚
I hope you make it here! it is amazing.Thank you so much for the kind words! greetings from Oregon/Idaho/Washington... its been a long couple of days!
@@wollertz it is really beautiful. I wonder what device were you using to take those photos? Drone must be? I want to go there too.
@@tastingdailylife2556 Hi, Thank you! I use a drone, the Mavic Pro 2, and also my video camera is my photography camera, its the Canon R5
@@wollertz got it. Thanks
Bambi is a 🐕🥰beautiful girl. Thank you for bringing so much beauty to our eyes.
I've been told (more than once) Bambi is the reason people watch my videos 🤣. So I try to include her in every video
Enjoyed the video very much. The other bridge-level angle was a nice and new take on this often shot now 'iconic' spot. Appreciate your tips. Good luck with your journey.
Thank you so much!
I’m taking a trip there this weekend with my dog. Thanks for the video, it was very informative. I know not to take my Golden Retriever on the bridge
Awesome! yes, don't take the dog 😅that could go wrong in so many ways. but do enjoy your trip! its a beautiful spot!
So much beauty there but I don't think I'll be going across that bridge. 😮Heights aren't my thing either. I'm moving to the Oregon coast next year. Your cute little dog is really a trooper. Thanks for the cool videos!
Congratulations! I love the coast, so many amazing places to visit, and you don't have to cross dangerous cliffs to see the beauty of it all 😅.
I discovered this amazing place because of this video. AND I just went there! it's an amazing place. Your right about the steep trail; I did not attempt it. Thanks!
Glad I was able to help!!
There are so many cool places to travel to, Can't wait to catch up on jobs so I can hit the road again 🤣
I'm from the area. Lots of fatalities and people falling in the water. I would warn even seasoned hikers that this is a risk they take crossing the 'bridge'. I won't do it and a lot of locals stop there. Sadly, most of the fatalities over the years have been tourists.
I agree, It's slippery and very steep and a very dangerous place to bring a rescue team.
I really enjoyed seeing your perspective in this clip as well as the overhead shots. I've been very interested in seeing where all these people have met danger along the way. I knew the bridges were steep and narrow, but yeesh! You are a brave man. We get calls over the scanner up there probably every week or every other week. Some people let their nerves get the best of them & end up stuck on the bridge only to have rescue personell remove them. Glad you made it out of there ok!
@@meagana8218 Thank you! It was defiantly an adventure and even though it wasn't planned, Im glad I filmed what I did because Im not doing it again 😅
Wow. Looks a little sketchy. Never been there, so this REALLY helped me out. Thank you!
If its wet It very sketchy, otherwise just a little sketchy! Good luck!
Thank you for an excellent tour. I live about 20 minutes from there, but after watching that video I will never take a hike there. I don’t like heights either and glad you took the hike for us. I’ll stay with Harris beach for a great place for photographs.
Thank you!! it is a beautiful spot, but very steep, slippery and dangerous 😅. Harris Beach is much safer and also a beautiful place!
My family and I stayed in Crescent City this summer,so close to this amazing place! We hiked inside Jedediah Smith. We fell in love with the Redwoods and will be back for more redwoods and maybe Natural Bridges!
Crescent City is a great place, everything is near by, Redwoods, Brookings, the Lighthouse is pretty also! definitely go back for the Bridges and Secret Beach, both amazing
Wow, but is very beautiful, I was there last December
Best time to visit!
Thanks for sharing.we were there a few weeks ago.its awesome.
One of my favorites! Thanks for the comment!
Great videos and photos!
Thank you!
80's Guitar and nature. 👍
My favorite combination!
Very Dangerous indeed! Did it 4 days ago! My knees were shaking as well!
😅some people will never understand the struggles with heights and narrow walkways..
This was a good one, Charlie. We're adding this spot to our growing Charlie's places 'bucket list'. We've lived in the NW our entire lives, but regrettably have not ventured farther south than Lincoln city - DOH! So once again; thank you dearly for another enjoyable video showing us yet another wonderful place for us to experiences, albeit with due caution!!
So many places, so many experiences just waiting to happen!
@@wollertz... And a Marvic Pro 2 drone...!
@@craigtaylor7812 that definitely helps! 😅
First of all great music track really set the theme, i have been to Oregon at least 25 times never stopped there and if i do it will be drone shots only lol, i give you a lot of credit doing this beautiful journey, i did the whole west coast trail over 40 years ago when it was a real trail and it was killer back then but this takes the cake only Respect Charles Cheers
Thank you very much! this is another spot I want to visit with different conditions maybe in December, but im not going across that thing again 😅, specially in stormy high surf
@@wollertz have you made it to Vancouver island yet, tons of superb places to shoot
@@thegreeklife2854 not yet, I was trying to plan it for next spring, but I haven’t gotten all the details yet
@@wollertz let me know I can show you around , I’m back there next month currently in Greece
That was the problem I had at canyonlands and arches parks, almost impossible to show the scale of those places! You did an awesome job here. If I had known you were afraid of heights I would have climbed out on some of the ledges for you. I did it at the one overlook that from what I could see on google earth was 1400' and sat with me feet over the edge, my wife was not happy. LOL I took a picture of my feet with the valley floor below, it looked really cool.
I bet she wasn't happy 🤣, those pictures always look amazing! not something I am going to do 😂, Thank you for the compliment!!
How long is this Hike? All Trails said that it's less than a mile out and back, but your video looks like you hiked a lot farther.
It’s about a mile maybe 1-1/4 but it’s steep!
Specially if you go up and over the bridge. It makes a loop.
Awesome video!
Thank you so much!!
im planning on going here next month, i might be bring my friend but she is such a recklesss daredevil im kind of scared to invite her LOL
😅 I was there yesterday and it wasn’t that bad, I didn’t cross but a few people did, watch for weather and slippery slopes! It’s awesome!
Stay blessed 🤙
Thank you! 🙏
I’ve been down on the bridge once but I didn’t know the trail kept going. Know I kind of want to go there again and try it. However I’m in my late 50’s know. I Don’t live that fare from it.
Its a steep hike 😅, I was there last winter with the snow and they had closed the trail because of some weather damage, I'm assuming its open again 🤷♂️
Great video! What month did you go?
Thanks! This was December/January I can’t remember exactly
New to your channel. Amazing photography. I been to platform. It was too wetvand slippery mud to go down. Question.. did you go on right or left trail? We are alike. I don't like heights, however did jump out of a plane. Total difference.
Thank you! I went left, totally worth it when safe!
Thanks for this video. Are there level places *not* on the bridge that I can launch my drone and still get good footage?
The most level place is the viewing platform, there are a few trees, but its pretty open, that's where I flew from, One thing to keep in mind is the changes in the wind, the cove is fairly protected and at times the wind can be very strong above the trees or around the cove. There a couple of places a long the trail that might work as well but the trees are pretty dense and it doesn't level out until you are pretty close to the bridge! Good luck!
@@wollertz Thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll get some epic footage and not die!
@@BopjoWebDesign Don't die, someone has to edit the footage and share it!!
👍 going there this weekend
Enjoy! it is awesome, pictures and video just don't do it justice!
Gorgeous! how long and how many miles did it take to get down there?
Thank you! its not very long, maybe 1.5 miles or 2 round trip
I’ve been to this location once alone, and gave up to reach the bridge since I became afraid haha. No one was in the area, but your video inspired me to take another trip there.
By the way, around what time of the day were you there when you made this video?
Thank you.
Awesome! I’m glad My video motivated you, I was there in the winter, it was around 1pm I believe
Welcome to Brookings
Thank you! my time at the coast has come to an end, but I will be back, had a great time exploring and photographing the southern Oregon coast. Now its time to explore other parts of the west!
What camera are you using as you film yourself? This was awesome
Hi, Thank You! I use the Canon R5 with the RF 24-70mm 2.8 most of the time, towards the end of the video I found a place on top of a cliff where the sun was reflecting on the water and illuminating me perfectly! Its all bout lighting, the camera just keeps the focus and a shallow DOF with an aperture of f/2.8
would you recommend hiking to the bridge from the left and going back the same way? is that a shorter hike than doing the full loop?
This is a very steep trail, going left is a bit longer because of the switch backs, the trail on the right is pretty much straight up and down and to the point.
I prefer climbing UP the rock (at the bridge) and not climb down it. So I rather go left and do the full loop. It's not a very long trail, it's just steep and dangerous, easily done in 30 minutes if you're in good shape. Being at sea level helps with oxygen saturation but it is still tough on the knees!
@@wollertz Thanks for the tip man! I am going in two weeks
@@cueball93 Of course! The weather is really changing and it should be perfect in a couple of weeks!
@@wollertz yeah I was worried if I would get crap weather or not. going to hit multiple locations along the coast starting from the cannon beach down to brookings. April 15-19th
@@wollertz really enjoying your videos. Beautifully done. Do you have an instagram too?
Coming down, where's your dog?
I made multiple trips 😅
Please be really careful specially for Bambi.
Thank you! I don't take risks with Bambi
I just watched this. A woman just fell to her death where you were hiking, a few days ago! Be careful!
This area is extremely dangerous and it is very sad how many people get injured or die here, I wasn't planing on crossing the bridge, somehow I ended up climbing and not looking back.
I'm having seconds thoughts doing that hike. 85% sure its a no for me next weekend
You can go down to it and return, the view is very pretty I would suggest doing it backwards, go down the steep side, this way you have a prettier view of the sea stacks but only if you don't want to cross the bridge, otherwise it might be difficult to climb down instead of up in the narrow portion of the bridge! Enjoy!
@@wollertz Thanks for the information. Yes, I dont want to cross the bridge hahahaha
@@MinisterOfGuam I don't blame you! If you can handle a steep down hill climb I would do that at the parking lot go right and climb down, much better views!
