@@wollertz A couple of hundred is fine too. Really just supply and demand now that the entry to being a photographer is so low. Back when I started (1998) it was film. You had to, at the very least, be moderately skilled at shooting film. And it was expensive to start your career which was a barrier to entry. Now you can show the world you are talented with an iPhone! Weirdly, in a way, I think social media / UA-cam has helped fill in the gap for some photographers. I myself have thought of starting a channel since I know video / photo and lighting and have a studio.

Go for it! its a lot of work but its very addictive and rewarding!

The 24-105 is a good option at a good price, the aperture options are not the best, I'm not sure what your budget is but the 27-70 2.8 was one of my favorites for lifestyles

Thanks! I don’t see AI as a threat, it’s another opportunity, a tool like photoshop was in the beginning. It’s part of the creative process, and yes it’s going to take some work away from photographers, but a lot have already given up which opens more jobs for the rest of us that stay with it

Thanks so much! As far as when I work with clients I offer 2 prices, if they want exclusivity with the photo it’s a higher price, if they don’t mind me using the photo for stock then it’s discounted. 9/10 they go with the non exclusive option. Now about going out with friends, let’s just say they get a warm meal and not a hot one 😅. Yes I quickly try to make photos of any dish that hits the table, it’s even gotten me jobs at random restaurants I was just visiting 😁

I'm not requiring model releases since as I am not selling anything, but I would definitely recommend getting the releases to maximize your sales. My goal is for everyone to generate more sales, the prize is the motivation 😅

I use my camera since it does 4K video. I you are using a phone shoot in good light, editorial content, Always at the highest quality. 4K, depending on light you can use 60fps if it’s darker go down to 30fps

All photos have metadata, the only time that can be deleted is with sofware like photoshop, so as long as I can see your settings, and camera that the image came from , I can consider it a real photo, now if you plan to do something that looks incredibly manipulated then I will need more proof, like a video of the set up 🤷‍♂️
