Really good move! Get rid of those high center of gravity fuel tanks mounted above the engine! convert to ten gallon tank! I also use shock therapy!
I have a 4 seater now with the 12 gallon tank. I have 17,000 miles with my extra fuel tanks and love them, definitely won’t get rid of them.
I hope you map the ride it sounds like great fun. The wife and I are looking to do a trip like that next summer. We just got the new talon 1000r live valve
Awesome! I wish I had the live valve! We will document the entire journey. I can make the trip because my talon is street legal. I did make a trailer to pull behind the talon as well.
Honda Talon Turbo Owner In Tennessee it’s only street legal on county roads no state highways. I’ll be doing the street legal kit. Thanks for all information you put out it’s a lot of help

Are you running the S&B filtration system WITH a rear window? If so, what window are you running? Can you do a small video on that?
I am using the Honda oem rear window. I have a separate video for it with the particle separator already

Great write up on the upgrades. Can you answer this question. I'm running the stock suspension, although decent, in the larger boulders, fast smooth trails, it's horrible in the small chop chatter in the small 6-10" rocky gravel road, like all around Breckenridge, CO. Does your Talon suspension sound like you are being drug across a gravel road in a cheap red wagon with no wheels. This is what I'm concerned with. Both my Talon and my buddies Talon sounds and feels like this from when it was new. Now with just under 1k miles. Drives me crazy. It's soooo bad. I'm thinking its the suspension locking up not being able to keep up with the up and down small chatter resulting in no suspension in those conditions. Did your Talon sound like this before and/or now with your upgraded suspension work? Do you know the sound feel I'm referring to. Thanks.
I don’t remember having that type of noise. I am very happy with shock therapy. And I use the iQS far more than I expected

Maybe you can’t answer this but do you believe that Jackson is having trouble with the turbo all across the board or do you think you have more troubles because of your elevation changes? I don’t have any experience with it as there isn’t many of these machines around here where I live yet at least not with the turbo kit on them. Also I want to thank you for all of the great videos you have made for the talon!😁👍🏼👍🏼
The turbo kit in my experience only has issues above 2,000ft elevation. If you stay below that, you should be fine!
Hey Russel what limit straps are you using? I’ve been in contact with Shock Therapy and they are still working on the Talon limit straps as of a week ago (07/04/20)

How much $$$??? I’m going to be buying a talon in the next two weeks and I’m wondering if I should pay the extra money for the live valve or just go the route you did with a regular talonR. I’m just not really excited about the new live valve R models color scheme! Not much into blue!!
I believe the springs are $600 and RIS is $750! Definitely worth the money!

Hey Russell big fan of your videos I've been watching, I am a quadriplegic that uses a Honda talon R for a fast wheelchair:) have hand throttle installed... I have got standard suspension and it's quite bouncy and get quite a sore neck since I've broken it before! I'm based in New Zealand, and would like your advice what is the best thing I can do to improve a soft ride, considering I'm not in the US so easily get shock therapy? Cheers!

Thank you for watching! The Talon springs are very stiff. First and easiest step is softer Springs. I’m assuming there isn’t the options available there like shock therapy has. I do believe shock therapy has dealers all over the world, & I believe there’s one in Australia. That might be a better option for you. I highly recommend getting the dual rate springs, and RIS with the rear spare. That will make the largest difference, but very expensive!!! They can setup your talon for an ultra plush ride. I have mine setup for high speed/jumping. But they tailor each setup to your needs. I would at least order the dual rate springs and have them shipped and installed. Hopefully this info helps.
