Maybe I'm just broke but I will never understand how some people buy christmas gifts that are $100+. I can understand for a wedding, graduation or anniversary gift, but I have to get christmas gifts for ten different people on a budget of like $200.
Can you do a video on how to reuse the coffee cups like you said? I usually collect them and throw them away in a special mini container for the used nespresso cups but refilling them with your own grounds sounds even better!
Dont run them with nothing covering the grounds. There are reusable caps you can get that I use. They work just fine and I haven't had any issues with them.
I got a traditional espresso machine years ago from my ex wife after I discovered it from a restaurant in Florida. Getting the newspaper and drinking my Americano is just 👌
I was thinking the same thing, then I realized this guy probably wasn’t using his for the first time. It would probably be left over bean residue from previous brews.
If you plan to reuse pods or use reusable pods - just get a normal coffee machine which works with coffee beans or ground coffee. Reusing pods defeats the entire purpose of the nespresso system - easy and consistent results
sure, but if you get a nespresso machine as a gift or someone who lives with you has one, its better to just refill them than buying a whole new espresso machine. Its more tedious but its cheaper and more sustainable to reuse pods. Over time it would probably be something that would be more effort than its worth, but as a temporary way of making your own espresso without having to fork out $1 per pod, its not a bad solution
Nope! Your wrong. At ~$1.20 each, one month will cost $120 for a family of four who each only have one a day. You can prep them in advance and have them stocked for the week, still convenient, same results, and your saving $110
Filling it up with your own grounds can be good however if not ground properly or used too often, the grounds can clog the machine. Happened to me and I had to descale it 4 times in order to get to work as normal again
My SIL got me one for christmas bc I’ve been wanting one for years but I didn’t want to bite the bullet bc I knew how expensive the coffee is (and the day after Christmas I discovered people have been refilling their pods with their own coffee for years 😂).
I actually received my sisters used ninja coffee maker ! I’m grateful though bc I had one that was bought at a bent a dent store and was dented didn’t stay hot. I would love one of these thou!
Those pods are why I stopped using these types of machines. Even buying reusable pods I can put my own grounds in, the coffee produced wasn't as good as the pod cup. I can't justify creating that much plastic waste when I can just brew drip coffee or get a proper espresso machine that uses grounds.
@@EDZU97 Except a simple Breville is like $200-$300 depending on if there's a sale and an extra $100 or so for a simple grinder. You save more money long term by making your own espresso. Those pods aren't even real espresso anyway and also #fucknestle
Step 1: Throw it away. It’s a waste of money. You’re agreeing on a subscription service where you can only use their pods. It’s like a fcking ink printer.
Yes, everyone throw it away and waste almost a thousand dollars on an actual espresso machine instead of an instant machine that’s on the 100s $ rank, wow!
Yeah don't put grounds into a cut open disposable pod. You're gonna clog up your machine with grounds. I assume that same with Keurig, Nespresso and third parties make a pods specifically for putting your own grounds into, and that they probably aren't very expensive.
I'd rather resuse those pods in library crafts~ .......if i was the supervisor i could call that a budgetary expense. caffinate the staff, reuse the pods in crafts and decor. They make pretty decent ornaments on walls and windows
Or just ask for the ticket you need for warranty anyways, bring it back to the store where it came from, and buy an actual coffee machine that doesn't generate a ton of trash and pulls decent shots.
“espresso” 😵💫😵💫 Nespresso is just stronger filter coffee, there’s a reason why they are Nespresso pods and not “espresso pods” because they legally can’t even call is espresso
Or just get a proper coffee machine that uses ground coffee, there's some for under £100, you're not stuck buying expensive pods and they're much better for the environment!
If you got an Nespresso machine throw it out, they use single use plastic pods that end up into landfills, buy a regular espresso machine and save a ton of single use plastic.
I've had a nespresso machine for years and never seen a plastic pod. I've always had aluminium pods that you can take back to the nespresso store and they'll recycle them. I know that other companies that make pods for the nespresso machines use plastic. Maybe you're thinking of that? Maybe it's different in Australia and we just don't get plastic pods?
cuz they’re totally not recyclable! and yup, we should all buy a regular espresso machine that’s way out of our budget and will leave us with about 5$ left in our bank account! Or if one of us is lucky and find an affordable one if there’s actually some, idk
In 5 years time coffee nerds are going to invent pre ground coffee in single use foil containers that can be used with a special gadget that will quickly conveniently pour them a cup
“There’s a good chance that you got an espresso machine for Christmas”
I wish 😭
A Nespresso. If you got an espresso machine you wouldn't be watching this
Me too lol that's what I was wanting

An actual espresso machine would be great, not this trash
Can you do a video on how to reuse the coffee cups like you said? I usually collect them and throw them away in a special mini container for the used nespresso cups but refilling them with your own grounds sounds even better!
Never works properly. Inconsistent results that are a 3/10 at best. Forget about it.
Also breaks the device and voids the warranty and they can tell that there are non nespresso grounds inside the machine
Never reuse your pods. This guy is sponsored so it works in his favor if sales go higher due to voided warranty
Dont run them with nothing covering the grounds. There are reusable caps you can get that I use. They work just fine and I haven't had any issues with them.
@@jadejaguar69 a sponsor doesn’t mean he gets royalties when they sell one lmao.
Thank you for this! I am getting one for Christmas this was helpful! 😊

Glad you like them!

Thanks just got one from grandma. Can’t wait use it most high school mornings
“Using the machine for the first time”
Water is coming out brown of usage.

I got one for Christmas. I love it. I reuse the pods.
Lol, ME!!! they must be the go to gift for the past few years!!!

i freaking love Nespresso
Making this I just got one last night😊
Can you reuse the pod with ground espresso? Or does this only work for the “coffee” pod.
There's not a chance I'll get Nespresso machine for Christmas
I ahve a nespresso it’s old ish and uses the older pods btw they infinitely supirior
What kind of pods are used for lattes and iced drinks ?
Lets be real if someone got you a coffee machine, it was probably a keurig lol
Not here in Europe, Keurig is not a thing here

What’s the name of the last cup?
I have it to😊
do you have any recommendations for specific pods to make different drinks?
LOL yes I did!
There is a good chance that you get a espresso machine that is 14 years old and come from Italy called ranchilio
literally got that exact one 💀
SAME LOL
Ahhh nothing better plastic and aluminium what amazing combo

The point of this machine is to not have to pay $5000 for an actual espresso machine. Simple.
The capsules are made of aluminum, I don’t get it. They come in paper packages

What brand of coffee machine and espresso would u recommend?
It honestly falls down to personal preference and your budget
There's a good Chance to get ... Well seems like you werent lucky this year 🤣
This is a vertuo, europe generally doesnt have this, they have the cilinder ish shaped pod
Portuguese person here - I own a Vertuo machine. It's quite nice, and I wish it had a bit more traction in the market.
Does it come close to a espresso..or should i stick to my moka pot

In some European countries (if not all), there are actually off-brand pods that you can get for way cheaper and they still work and taste great
@@ella9876 I second this, I buy exclusivly third party. I haven't bought anything from nespresso since buying my actual machine :)

you are supposed to only use filtered water with nespresso machines

You can Just use the washing mode
Ps… Nespresso, the company makes a reusable pod that is plastic and has a clip shut lid, just a little fyi
I wish also that’s definitely not an espresso machine.
How do i refill?
Where do the pods go???
You cannot reuse Nespresso pods. You can just recycle them through their recycling program. - From someone that works for Nespresso. :)
Could you share a link about the recycling program? I am courius about the pod recycling method, but i cant’t find a lot about it 😢
won't tap water cause deposits that will ruing the tubing and materials of the machine? only distilled water right?
I'd rather resuse those pods in library crafts~

Wats a good machine to get someone 🤔?

I’ll never get a pricey machine like that. I’ve tried to reuse my pods. How? Always grounds in my coffee. No matter what I do. 😂
Ha I wish I got a nespresso
🙏🏿😊
I didn’t get one for Christmas but I am seriously thinking about buying one. Question is, which one do I get?
Nespresso Vertue Plus Limited edition.👍
DO NOT use tap water, it is better to use bottled water
nespresso is not only terrible tasting it’s overpriced and creates more plastic waste
You don’t have to reuse the pods, they’re pretty affordable actually
They're not and it's about the waist they create not their price
