Woot. New video!
Please could you do a video on NPSH?
Just to repeat an answer at the end of the video that I came looking for, if you’re deciding on a pump that may run on a portable generator, a 3-wire pump (4 including ground) with an external control box is better than a 2-wire pump. The 2-wire pump will require 50% more power on startup which may require a larger generator than you’d otherwise need.
What size generator would I need to run a 1/2 hp 2-wire well pump. Will a Predator 4375 do the job? If it will then I have another issue.
If I use 1.5 HP of the submersible pump well what size of generator need for it? What difference between externally regulated and internally regulated? how can I notice its difference?
I have 2hp submersible Franklin motor pump, what size or hp of generator I can used?
I have 2 Hp submersible pump what is the size or hp generator I can used?
What will my generator rating be for
1. 110 KW motor.
2. 150KW motor?
Can i run 1.5 hp pump in max output 3000w generator?
Do you have any examples of internally regulated generators that can be purchased?
I have the same question. There is no info online.
This doesn't really answer your question but you don't want a brushless generator they have the noisiest output. The regulating is done through a capacitor and the windings of the generator and it induces a DC voltage in the rotor
I've driven by R.C. Worst in Spokane for many years. Each time I drive by I wonder what R.C. Worst sells or does??????? The sign on the street has only one hint "Expect the best from R.C. Worst". That's it! You guys seem like a cool company and a great resource. Why not make it clear what business you're in instead of keeping it a secret? I'm serious... I've been so curious at times that I've just about stopped my car and walked in the building just to ask what the hell you guys do?
I got confused with your note.. For single phase 3 hp motor, what size of generator needed??
Is it a submersible pump motor with a control box or a 2-wire above-ground motor?
@@RCworstwater Thanks for your reply.... This motor is induction motor which is in piston compressor
This is above ground motor
How do you know the size of your well pump motor?
Check the control box if you have one. If you don't you may need to check with the installer or check the amperage of the motor as a last resort.
@@RCworstwater Thank you for your kind reply. Can the size pump be guesstimated by timing on time from on to off and measuring gallons pumped? Oh, now I see this: ua-cam.com/video/cWksNcUqWdE/v-deo.html
