the peaches in the video are white peaches as opposed to yellow peaches, both kinds are sold in america (at least in cali) if you're looking for them :) peaches also get softer as they ripen so if you want crunchy, then find hard peaches from the store and eat them before they get soft white nectarines look similar and are sweet too!
Oh gosh I tried making this but it didn’t turn out anywhere near as nice as yours 😭 But they were still really refreshing with the cold peach inside the soft mochi!! 💕
amina1 Marwan Yeah, mine weren’t able to hold the peach shape (90 seconds on my microwave turned out to be too much and made the mochi harder than theirs) and I had to make my own bean paste so that ended up being too runny 😭 The mochi tastes like plain mochi from the store. If it’s too flavorless on its own I would try adding cocoa powder or something like that in the mix!

That’s what I was about to say! These peaches seem so hard while ours are so squishy. I wonder if the recipe would be the same if we used Georgian peaches instead.
Am asian, live in america but travel to parents home country and overall Asia, and I have to agree; they are very different! Trying to pull apart a peach from there is practically impossible; on a normal ol’ American yellow peach, you just twist and pull. Legit, I tried that with an asian white peach and... yeah, I split it right down the middle. Like, splitting the seed as well, right down the middle as I was pulling the halfs with my raw hands. ^^; I’m pretty weak too, so only my desire of a crispy peach kept me going, lol. For now, back in America, I’ll just settle with the most solid white peach I can find :’)
