"On Thanksgiving Day in 2010 we randomly ran into Paul Westerberg of The Replacements who was doing some early Christmas shopping at a South Minneapolis Walgreens. Reporter Liz Collin had no idea who he was and Paul was having some fun with her."

They were playing “London Calling” in the Walgreens I was at a few days ago … that’s the closest punk/indie moment I ever had while shopping at Walgreens but seeing Paul Westerburg tops that a millions times over ..

Paul is hanging onto his legendary Replacements persona by goofing on camera. This Minneapolis news reporter hasn't a clue and Paul plays it like a skilled Carney. Priceless.

I saw this when it aired live. The video is cut short. The morning anchor at the time, Jason DeRusha chimed in to say he knew who he was and to say hello to Paul. Liz Collins is the reporter. It's no surprise that she didn't know. Her elevator doesn't reach the top floor.

Ok, I'm curious. Was this a random local news on the street/what are you buying for the holidays thing and they happened to catch Paul? The interviewer doesn't actually know who he is. That's what it seems like.
The person filming knew, but the interviewer from a news station does not seem to know Paul.
The interviewer is Liz Collin, who's a local TV reporter in Minneapolis. She's married to a racist former police Lt. and former head of the Minneapolis PD police union Bob Kroll. She's an idiot for sure. The street corner is 54th and Lyndale in Minneapolis.
