I think Alesis needs to spend more time on higher-end e-kits like the Strata Prime and stop trying to improve their lower-end budget friendly e-kits. I also do not really understand why a drummer or one that wants to kearn drums properly would want a lower-end e-kit? I get that they are more budget friendly, but to properly learn how to play drums, you need an accustic drum set or an e-kit that is as close to an accustic drum set as you can get. The lower-end budget friendly e-kits can only get you so far as a drummer. Then you will feel you need to spend more money to upgrade your e-kit or buy a better one. In the long run, you will be happier and save money just buying a good high-end e-kit such as the Strata Prime e-kit. I know lots of drummers like the budget friendly lower-end Alesis e-kits as they are more affordable, but if those drummers really understand how a drumset works, and is supposed to be played they would know that the budget friendly lower-end e-kits are just glorified toys of a drumset. What would help drummers the most is to come out with a good high-end e-kit that is a bit more budget friendly so more drummers can get better and have the experience of playing something that plays, functions, and feels like a drumset should.
I can use my turbo cymbals on the prime or sell it for almost what I bought it it for. Or use the the turbo to practice with when I’m giging with the prime.
