Sheik Assim is a very practical man. I like the fact that he answers a lot of questions with logic rather than quoting holy people. But, one thing I dislike about him his tone and manners. Mostly he appears very angry when answering certain questions and it’s very unpleasant to hear him speak even if he is giving sensible answers. I don’t think Islam teaches us to be rude and condescending towards others. Everyone is different intellectually. While some people’s questions and understanding about Islam may seem trivial and silly, you don’t have the right to judge them. It’s not just Sheikh, I have lived in the Middle East and I have seen this attitude with many Arabs. They seem very proud of their wealth and heritage but treat people poorly.

I love how the older generations have left us with no Islamic society, no powerful economy or state, and no advanced military to defend against invaders who have humiliated us for centuries, and are now preaching strict Shariah rules. Yes, I am going to ask my parents to talk to the parents of some girl I like. Who are the girl's parents? I don't know. How to get their contact info? I don't know. Where's their address? I don't know. Is it still the 7th century? Probably not. Things have changed. If societies are not Islamic, then social conventions required for implementing Islamic rulings do not exist. And now in the world of Western supreme that we live in most of the professional and personal life are inspired by their system. Even the full Muslim countries aren't following full sharia rules but use a mix of both modern and sharia ways of Living. So I don't know how these people advocate strict Sharia's way of living to others, when they themselves see the societies aren't able to adopt it. They should come up with realistic solutions that are applicable in real life to all the Muslims, including common people in non-musilm countries

It's not mentioned in the Quran or Hadith .. the stuff they use as evidence is actually proof that you can communicate so long as you do so with Allah's guiding rules The verses literally mention the rules and instructions of how women should be dealing with non mahrams and vice versa .. Keep your full hijab lowering your gaze for both men and women, not talking with flirty tones ... etc Allah never said something is totally Haram and then gave us rules on how to do it Where are the rules to Fornication?
