All of this is very true, but even so people will often not call mental health helplines because they either see it as a weakness or, worse, the world they live in makes them believe it's somehow a "failure" to need help for mental illness. As though you are "weak" to admit you are a Human being...
The total opposite is true. Admitting you need help with your mental health and actually reaching out to get it takes extraordinary strength. Think about it: your family needs you to be a pillar of strength for them. You are the apple of your parents eye. You are successful at everything you turn your mind to...
Yet you suffer from such severe mental illness that, every single night you watch videos like this just to see another day. The past is a dark place you are trying to leave behind, but there is no light in the future to head for.
The only way to get real help is to get in contact with professional mental health workers. To see a Psychiatrist and, perhaps, get some medication, or receive Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Because, if you don't? In time, at best, you will end up in a mental health hospital. At worst? You will simply die, maybe of utter despair simply stopping your heart, maybe through conscious decision.
Yet with help? It never needs to reach that point. You can even recover, potentially, go on to live a full life. You can even be happy?
The decision is always that of the person suffering, though, remember that for good reason. If he or she is so far gone or lost they can longer ask for help, from anyone? Those they leave behind will have to try and answer one simple question, forever:
