yes the live in the LBC is popular not just because of the Rev, its the BEST concert by FAR A7X has ever performed. every song is incredible

I love Avenged Sevenfold and I love Sabaton. Without these two bands, I couldn't get the music to speak to my soul.

This is by far the best concert Avenged Sevenfold has ever done. Really showcased how talented everybody in the band is. If you want a different sounding A7X you should try listening to some songs from Waking the Fallen, very different from this and their current stuff.
Save me is their best song their masterpiece

Saw a show from that exact tour, but at M&T Bank (Ravens field) in Baltimore, MD. It was awesome!!!
Oh yeah, I saw them in Comerica that same tour. That was a fun night, but hotter than all hell standing out there for 6 hours

You’re very analytical, you can definitely appreciate good music! Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band and my music background kinda roots itself in the late 70s early 80s metal scene so I have just totally fallen in love with A7X. The entire City of Evil album is a trip, some of the best solos, drum solos, lyrics, and vocal feats of this band’s career can be found there. You’d like any track from that record.
They're probably one of the best bands I've ever seen live, been going to concerts since I was 10. Believe in at 68 now? F^^kinv amazing band. The Rev is the reason why I want to play the drumvs kme day, did in middleschool but had to give it up (my town sucks). They're one of the few that actually sounds amazing live. Also if they notice something they don't like (someone getting hurt, security being butts, ECT) they'll stop the show and call it out. Definitely hear the Pantera influence, which is amazing too. Probably my favorite band.
@4:36 the sound he's talking about is that 'carnival' sound..... there's a certain sense of evil to it that we're drawn to, and they take it to the next level in "A little piece of heaven".

Funny you say that they would fit in the 80s, Beast and the Harlot is the first songs I heard by them and I actually thought it was an 80s metal band at first. Wasn't a fan at the time, but now they're my favorite band.

I love that you said that. #1 they absolutely have that old school style. That's because they're music is influenced by bands like Metallica and slayer. #2 syns favorite kind of music is the blues so you shouldn't be surprised.

The change of key happened by mistake at the end of the song if I remember correctly, they didn't know how they wanted to end the song, but once they heard it mixed they loved it.
The story is they decided that they didn't have a song that changes key and every other band had one, so they decided to change key. The actual theory behind is really weird. The actual interval is not a half step and not orthodox. papa gates asked them how they came up with it and syn said it was because that was the same key as the outro. look at their breakdown of the song

It's pretty funny that this song is actually Synyster's least favorite to perform because he says it's too simple and monotonous, EVEN WHILE HE'S SINGING BACKUP THE ENTIRE TIME! Insane...
I thought it was because the song was frustrating and and singing with the main riff was hard for the him to get down.
