This is what american, and pretty much anyone , wants. A modern jungle carbine for pest work, hunting and hiking. Like GM and other american companies they never give you what you want but instead what THEY tell you you should want. smh. Well, I guess it gives these companies a chance to make money too. Kinda wish they'd have a detent on threaded on adapter so you can snap on a suppressor or a flash hider of your choice. Greatvideo tho. Thanks for making it.
the skinner sights scout rail has built in sights, thats what i did since these are no where online anymore. the set up is really cool for the skinners.
Front site base is pretty well thought out ... I think a key way milled in the muzzle break that corresponds with a notch in the site so the two peices fit together would be stronger. It then would also prevent the muzzle break from ever loosening up. Rock set, then tighten screws.
I found these sight online back when they first came out, and the were the reason I bought the Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 5.56 over the Mossberg. I then installed an adjustable cheek-riser for a AR style scope (see under) mount so I have the best of both! A friend of mine also bought these sights for his Ranch Rifle.

I would not rely on sights like that as a primary and only aiming system ... BUT, if you really want to keep it that way, put Loctite 2701 between the front sight and the barrel. That'll keep sturdy.
A very informative video. I am planning on buying a Ruger American Ranch or Predator .223/5.56. soon. What are the chances of shipping these sights to the UK? Many thanks.

FANTASTIC! I don't know the barrel dia. for the 300 blackout; or whether or not it is tapered vs stepped. Same as 7.62 OD ?
On a stepped barrel model you would have to install the front sight base further back on the barrel. This would require the use of a shim wrapped around the barrel to increase the diameter. Or have a gunsmith turn off the .750" step down to .730" so you can use the NDS-59 version. Seems all the later versions are the straight .730" style.
