Would you prefer it in 300BLK or 7.62x39?
7.62x39 because ammo is way cheaper
@@WHOTEEWHO I know it's a lot of work, but man I'd love to see what this chronos at with that barrel length. I don't own a bolt gun, but I do have AK's so that ammo will work! I may have found a new favorite as well!
Use sako fmj card.!!.🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮👋🐕🦺🦌🙂
Wonder is that good for wild chiken!?.. so called kurtz 308!!. Greets from North europe!!. And that chost€/$.. and its kind noisy🤔🇫🇮👋🐕🦺🐓🐓🐓.. ps that round is familar my service time!!. But lapua do good cardr.!! Too🙂🇫🇮
Love that “match grade” Wolf steel case! 😎
Yes!
I think I have red army standard. Marxist match hahahh
I would be thrilled with a shot grouping like that from any rifle in any caliber! I have never seen a rifle in 7.62x39mm shoot that well. I'm very impressed.
i have seen you shoot some good 100 yard group's,but that group is one for the book's.well done.
I agree 100%
With steel cased poop too!
It's a shame this channel isn't at 1 million subs. Favorite gun channel on UA-cam.
Thank you Nathan. I am working crazy hard at it. 🙏
I agree. I really look forward to the new videos.
Well... 2nd favorite maybe. Can’t put anyone ahead of Paul Harrell. Nothing wrong with being 2nd to mr. Harrell though
Paul Harrell is the man
Hickok45 is the gun champ on UA-cam but this guy is great also
You are right, money doesn’t always equal results.
That's correct for child support too

I don't think I've ever heard a more truer statement than that.
"This is about to be a really fun video" ......... dang who tee, what an understatement !! That was cool.........
Thanks for watching!
I use this exact rifle for hog hunting. Perfect economic setup.
I love it. Absolutely
@@WHOTEEWHO I think this is going to be my next pig whacker, no regulation of suppressors in New Zealand either!
@John Beige I havent got mine yet, takes awhile to get a firearm in New Zealand. It definitely looks accurate enough to take down the hog one shot, I suppose you might need a semi auto if a pack of them are comin right at ya;)
I use the same gun with an $89 Konus 1.5-5x for hog and it works great. Ive been saving up for a while and just ordered a thermal monocular for locating the hogs and a night vision scope and it'll be going on this rifle
Hey, I don’t know what other people are saying, but that’s some very good shooting from a budget/entry level gun with cheap ammunition!
Thanks for watching rgh
I bought the rifle due to your review of it. Glad I did, this is going to be my hunting rifle this year, I sighted mine in with Tula 154gr. soft points. Very accurate, I'm very impressed with it.
Awesome! Love this thing
I've had this rifle since it released and I love it
I have the same rifle in the same caliber and mine shoots the same way! Every time I shoot it I’m amazed of how tight the groups are. Mine set up with a Leopold 2.5×8 scope. Love these little rifles.
I love this rifle
Dang it. I already wanted one of these now I really want one.
It's one of my favorite rifles as well, it puts a smile on your face. Theres something about it that you won't understand until you shoot one, it's like the big kid version of plinking with a .22
I have a Ruger American Ranch (7.62x39) that is just as accurate. I really like it. Light weight, low recoil, and it uses the same magazine as the Ruger Mini-30 so you can get extended magazines for it. You mentioned the 22-250. I also have the Ruger American Predator (22-250) and it's just as accurate as well.
Can’t wait to watch! Never think of 7.62 when it comes to bolt guns. Such a neat rifle.
Love this one
Gonna be a good one. See ya then
@@treebuster93 see you then!
CZ makes one and someone else does. Cant remember but.not many
@@joelquinn2037 CZ, Ruger, Howa... those are the 3 that I'm aware of
I knew you would love it! They are awesome! Very underrated! A lot of upgrades available too so you can customize the look and feel. Check the scope rail screws and loctite them. They will come loose. The factory puts a lot of oil on them. Make sure the barrel is free floated also. Mine was touching a little on one side. 5 minutes with sand paper fixed it. That’s all it really needs.
Hey man, that was nice shooting. My schedule right now has me missing your live broadcasts by just a little bit but I always jump on as soon as I can. The thing that is also important is that right now 7.62 x 39 is usually available and not as expensive as most other rounds. When you're getting that kind of accuracy and the ammo isn't as high priced as most other rounds, you are good to go for quite a while. ALL THE ZOOMS BROTHER !!!!!!!!!
All the zooms!!! Just about some of the only ammo still available
@@WHOTEEWHO
👍🏼
👍
polish the bolt will help with the roughness and smooth it out . i polished mine and it help take some burs off and is butter smooth now .
👍👍
Mine in 5.56 is not picking up the shell's properly. It doesn't sound like the magazine is locking in all the way. I only have one magazine so I'll have to wait until I get another one before I try to fix it.
I have watched a lot of UA-cam videos of people shooting the 7.62x39 Ruger American. You shot the best group of them all. Good Job !
Appreciate you watching!
Three-shot mickey mouse. Never ceases to amaze me what that cartridge can do in a bolt gun.
Funny how we put them cold, hammer, forged barrel's together over here in N.Carolina! .. ain't it❓
Wat
I wish I had an excuse and reason to buy one of these. I have the 223 Ranch and 308. Both excellent. Nice shooting.
🤣
Correct choices
I have to agree, my Ruger American ranch shoots lights out everytime
Oh yea I can’t wait to see you do some Deer Hunting with that Rig.
Prove me wrong but as average of a guy Who tee who is, HE IS AN AMAZING SHOT!!
Appreciate you watching 🙏🙏🙏
LOL, 100 yrds impresses you?
@@jmanownz985 no, 100 yards does not impress me, but the fact that he can shoot cheap rifles with cheap ammo this goodd does, the fact that he proves people like you wrong daily by shooting SUB MOA with litirally anything impresses me.
I’ve seen him shoot ALOT longer then 100 yards. Try 1000 yards with entry level guns and still pling targets.
@@jmanownz985 he has plenty of other videos you can watch if you think he's trying to prove something with his 100yd zeroing. I have a slight feeling this man would out shoot you with your own weapon.
How can ya not like a Ruger American good stuff WTW. Gods speed to ya and your family. 👍🇺🇸
Absolutely
@@WHOTEEWHO sending you and Paul a bear claw this week
🙏🙏🙏 awesome
So waiting for this!!! So happy you got one!!! I love mine :)
I'd really like to see 7.62×39 vs 556 using clay.
Me too
I’m torn on which to get 7.62 or .556. I have AR platforms and I plan on investing in a .308 as well but want a fun each gun. What are your thoughts?
dang i wish i could find one locally, i'd grab it in a heartbeat.
Took me months to find
They are really good guns I love mine
@@heavyleadenthuasist38 i love mine too, have 3 but i really want it in the 7.62x39.
Ok why dont we have T shirts that say "All the Zooms" yet ?
That shirt has been out for like over a month 🤣.
I appreciate your. Video I picked up a Ruger Ranch in 762X39
About two weeks ago have not fired it yet. But very impressed with your results. Keep safe keep your videos coming 👍👍
I LOVE this rifle!
I'm very impressed as well! That would be a good set up for a youth or lady hunter or anyone really.
Absolutely
Just bought the Ruger American ranch
7.62×39 . love it so far like the round plenty of knock down plenty of reach .
When that 4th shot went in to the second plate making the clover leaf group, I actually said "Wow!" out loud. Nothing wrong with that rifle or its shooter! Nice.
Then that fifth shot through the hole! That was excellent.
Love that rifle
"Regular old dudes like me and regular old thangs..." Dudes got the boot scooting boogie!
Yeah buddy
Good share... I’d like to see you come back to this one with some different ammo if it can be found and see what kinda groups that rifle is capable of.
I think it may have a little more in it even with factor ammo..
Already did another video with more ammo :)
Just picked up one of these and a 25-06 Ruger American a couple of weeks back. Looking forward to getting them sighted in.
“I’m just a ol dude who likes to flang boolets”
Very true
I can see that on a t shirt.
I’m getting similar results with the same rifle and ammo. Great video Brother!
That Ruger is a keeper!!!!.
I agree
I have 4 Ruger rifles. This one was my first and still my number 1. Dont forget to break that bolt in...mine is buttery smooth and add cheek riser.
Looks like an excellent deer bagging, hog smacking, reach out and get'er done gun.
Love mine, put the AR mag well assembly in mine...use AR 7.62x39 magazines...much smoother cycling from the magazine. And I already had lots of those magazines, didn't want to buy mini 30 magazines. Even though you are shooting just fine, you are getting a chin weld with the scope so high...lower rings would get you a nice cheek weld...much more comfortable.
😏 It's going to be hard to buy one now . Every body and their sister will be saying I want one of those WHO-TEE-WHO guns. Way to go !
Ha!
Great channel,. Just picked one up yesterday , been looking for one for a year and a half.
I wish that this blaster would take AK mags. I’d run 10’s and 20’s.
It will accept Mini 30 magazines.
I hope in the future they will sell a mag well that excepts the AK mags, my Ruger American 223 will take AR mags, cheap scout rifle!!
@@aaronarmintrout5256 3d print one?
I know the mini 30 mags are proprietary to Ruger, but they should make mag wells that you can use for AK mags, just makes sense
I've also found that the 223 Ruger American prefers a 20 round mag , the bolt doesn't get hung up on it.
I've heard lots of good things about the RA Ranch. Now that lots of semi autos here in Canada are about to be banned, I picked up this one and went back to watching this video a year later. Hunting season just finished so this weekend I'm home. I'll get the new rig sighted in with some Barnaul HP next weekend. This will be for target and coyotes on someone's rural 150 acre property for predator control.
Not too cheap now. Rifle alone cost me $850 CAD and I put a Vortex Crossfire 2 on it with the deahold BDC. Other standard RA rifles are going for about $600 up here but I wanted that Ranch for the 7.62x39. Cheaper to shoot and it's a nice weight short barrel for lots of fun and yote busting.
This rifle is my favorite.. because it makes me look good when shooting 😂😂😂 .. very accurate.. Steel case is all I shoot with it 👍
I absolutely love it
4:37 "This bolt really wants you to man handle it."
One thing for sure is, both plates are DEAD! Buddy that was some good shootin' !!! Peace From Shelbyville!!!
Hey Danny
Dayuum good video and shooting. Thank you! Simple easy and tells the story.
yea there was a time not so long ago when you would need a flash top of the line rifle to get those sort of groups now its just common place . Probably whats more impressive is the ammo which is about as cheap as you can get
I joined the Ruger American Predator owners club yesterday!!! Can’t wait until I’m done setting it up, scope , sling & stuff
Awesome!
This rifle is an absolute joy to shoot! I highly recommend one to everyone!
I LOVE IT
Absolutely amazing! I've been looking for an entry level budget hunting rifle in 7.62 and I'm completely in love with this now!
Bolt sounds a bit dry bolt guns love to run wet use lucas gun oil its perfect for a short action bolt
Man you’re awesome. Been watching your videos for a while, very humble and have your very own personal way of making these videos. I hope to see you hit a mill some day, keep on keeping on 🙏 “who-tee-who”!
Thank you so much. That means a lot. Really appreciate you watching
@@WHOTEEWHO the fact you reply to so many people too man. Truly shows a lot, you’re a real cool dude. For real, wish you the best. 🙏
I like how light the rifle is but I wonder how hard it is to find good hunting ammo in 7.62x39.
Hornady makes a good balistic tip steel case i use.
Barnaul soft point will do the job quite well
Doesn’t need good hunting ammo- steel
Cased Crap is still accurate in it!!
not saying you should do this but this is what i did. i actually took factory 124gr wolf steel cased ammo and pulled the bullets, took an average weight of the powder of 10 shells and down loaded it by .5gr. i took a 308 bullet expander and removed the de priming pin and resized my steel cases and then loaded it up with whatever 110-125gr .308 cal bullets suited for the 300 blackout. out of my AK. 110vmax shot absolutely wonderful. just about an inch to 1.5inch at 100 yards. next on my list to try are the 110 Barnes blacktip. again not saying you should do it but with a little bit of knowledge and a great deal of safety and checking everything hunting ammo can be made up from simple factory FMJ. i have dont this as well with .223/556. took a normal 2MOA load and dropped it down to sub MOA. basically went through the shells and powder made the neck tension consistent and the powder varied by .2gr per shell, added a good hunting bullet and it worked great at a fraction of the cost of new factory Hornady ammo.
Not hard
More impressed by this Ruger than the C Z you shot in a previous video
All that with so sit in your butt steel cased ammo no less. Makes me want to get a 762. Bolt gun. And I agree my 22-250 is a favorite too. Who-tee-who
I love them!
Really enjoy your videos...keep the good content...and God Bless
I do plan on buying one but, That is the highest scope I’ve ever seen on a bolt action rifle.
Great shootin👍
For a second, I thought you had a swing set over your right shoulder.
I thought it was pretty badass you’d have a swing down range
I bought one in 2018. I put a 1x-4x Vortex crossfire with 30mm tube. On 1 power you can absolutely hold that crosshair completely still on a target. The smaller scope fits the rifle perfect. With it zeroed at 100 yards I can hit paint cans at 300 by using the thick part of the crosshair and the 4 x power using the Tula 124 soft point........Also one of my favorite rifles. One 1x power you can see the barrel aligned with the vertical crosshair. This gives you confidence the rifle is still zeroed. Plus it is really quick sighting on 1 x power. No need to overscope these rifles when using the M-43 round.
Thanks for making this video I’ve wanted one for over a year now. I finally got one and I am very impressed with it
Awesome!
Damn, and that’s with plinker ammo! My Ruger American in 308 win shoots bug holes like that too. Ruger has barrel making mastered.
I'm a big ruger american fan
Just got my AR 7.62 zeroed @ 25yrs..supposed to zero out again @ 200 yrds..can't wait until the damn weather get better!
One of my fav deer rifles. 123gn fusion makes them DRT!
Man I was holding one of those in my hands same caliber and everything for $400 at my favorite gun shop before the whole pandemic started. I’m kicking myself for not picking it up because other people have reported getting stupidly good groups out of cheap ammo. You just proved it. 7.62 x 39 it’s such a great round to have fun with. Anything from deer and smaller is going to have a bad day with some soft points
I have the same rifle, running a Vortex Crossfire II 3X9X40. My scope is mounted lower than yours, but I understand you often have to multi task scopes due to the volume of rifles you shoot. I run Hornady steel case ammo with the 123 grain SST bullets in mine. It will consistently shoot sub MOA at 100 yards. This little gun showed me how accurate this caliber can be and the impressive quality of the Ruger American firearms. I also have one in 450 Bushmaster and it will shoot just as well. If you ever do tests on discontinued firearms, and you may have already done one on this rifle when they were new. But out of all my rifles, the most accurate and cheapest deer rifle I own, my number one go to rifle, is a Marlin XS7 in .308 with a Redfield 3x9x50 scope using Hornady 150 SST. It out shoots everything I own, Browning, Remington, and Winchester, even my custom rifles I built myself,(AR's and 10-22's). Sorry for the long post, great video and keep up the good work.
Thanks Lloyd. I love the 450bm too
Nice shooting, that’s an extremely accurate rifle. Hard to believe it was almost right on after switching it, that’s amazing.
Love me a .308 short!! Looked at that rifle many times.. that and the cz. Settled on the mini-30.. 2nd trip to the woods with it, took a 4 point buck!! Using Hornady black.. amazing what that bullet will do, under 100yrds!! Rifle will make a 8" gong dance at a 100yrds 👍 great JOB in representing Ruger... been a fan for a life TIME lol..
Ive always liked Rugers...I have several more expensive models...and semi's...but these budget ranch rifles have really impressed me. My only issue is the bolt wants to open slightly on my 350 legend model...I dont know if thats a problem throughout the model or just that one. But great value and a great gun.
Nice shootin' WTW! Very nice group mate. Still trying to catch up on your last couple of weeks vids and even try to get on a live, but I'm still a bit slow after my operation.
Hey K Parker! Hope you are doing well
Got one in 5.56, and I absolutely love the rifle! It’s amazing what a company can do without spending all sorts of money on sub moa barrel development! This thing is a workhorse and accurate as can be with all sorts of ammo!
I love em
I would like to know what the 7.62×39 would to to clay block at 100 yards
This
Great shooting bud , cannot believe the scope was that close right off the other rifle
I had hoped it would be close
That's a brilliant group! A mate I work with in a gun shop bought the same set up. Nothing wrong with the 30/30 Russian in a bolt action. Thanks for sharing!
Great video for country boy shooters, when you shot that last group I went shopping. Keep them coming!
You are a pro... with clickies and zooms. Now improved reactive targets..... Awesome video
🤣🤣🤣👍👍
That's some really good grouping
Crazy accuracy for that cartridge and cheap ammo. I just purchased my first non-Weatherby fat bolt gun....a Sauer 100 XP Classic in .308. I can only hope it shoots as well as your Ruger American 7.62x39.
Awesome shooting on the second plate!
That is one heck of a fine group. Great rifle and some fine shooting. I want one now. Real bad! Thanks
Thanks for watching John!
Gol dog! With cheap Wolf ammo... that is truly impressive. I'm astounded.
It’s not just the rifle but the man behind the rifle makes the gun shoot accurate
I'm impressed most by the ammo. Never would have thought Wolf steel case with group that small.
My 308 American is absolutely lights out with my handloads. Never had shot one before, all it needs is trigger creep removed.
I keep proving my noveske loving friend wrong about the need for his premium gear. Great vid!
💯💯💯
Awesome video! I have the same exact rifle and caliber. I’ve took three deer with this rifle this last deer season. Never had to track one further than 50 yards. Hornady Black ammo is what I was using with the sst bullet. Love the rifle and caliber. I took a shot at 112 yards at a 180 pound buck. Perfect heart shot didn’t run 15 yards. Awesome video!
So much for those knocking Rooski steel case ammo too! ( I have 7.62x39 AR'S, and have never used anything but steel 154gr. S.P. and 125gr. S.P. )
You have yourself a 100 yard ear hole'er there. Nice setup, for a truck gun, deer stand, or in the swamp for piggies. Once you get that rifle afield, you'll appreciate that short bbl.
I love it
@@WHOTEEWHO
That rifle will fit into tight spaces, wait n see! Make sure it gets adequate "exercise."
Had one for a couple of years now. I found some KSPZ ammo that shoots great out of mine.
Just picked up one last Thursday. Dropped a Vortex Crossfire II on it Saturday night and got the same results as you at 100 yds with Brown Bear ammo. It's probably my favorite rifle now along with my Savage 350 legend.
That is great accuracy for Tula steel cased ammo. I'm a Savage fan and that is exactly what Ruger built the American after. Good job Ruger
WTW, hats off to GunPrime. I ordered a Ruger Mark IV from them last Friday and it was delivered to my FFL in SC today. Easiest transaction online ever. Looking forward to this video.
That rifle and ammo against those evil clay blocks!
👍👍
I have had a 7.62x39 Ruger bolt rifle for about 10 years. I was also amazed at the groups it made at 100yds with wolf ammo. I put just a 4 power scope on it and it does the same thing from a good rest. Very enjoyable. Mine was from a batch ordered by a man named Daily or some name close to that. I never bothered to put a different scope on it cause it works so well just like that.
I bought one in Nov. of 19', use it for deer and hog hunting mostly. I mounted a Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20mm, and a .30 cal brake on it.
If you'll clean up that magazine with very light filing, and a dremel & cratex, it will run smoother. TI polished the feed ramp as well. Great rifle.
Thanks Dale
Could not agree more with what you said about not having to spend stacks of money to get good results. That “stigma” of using the “cheaper” firearms is absolute rife here in Australia. These guys pat themselves on the back and high five each other shooting those groups (if they’re good enough) with mega-dollar rifles and optics locked into a solid rest that’s locked onto a concrete bench at a range with big wind breaks around it; they should get good results in those controlled conditions with the money that have invested. Do just as good with the “cheaper” rifles, and I have a Ruger American in 22-250 plus a number of HOWA rifles that all consistently produce more than acceptable results, and the super-snipers on UA-cam and Facebook all roundly shout you down, as if you don’t belong in their rarified brotherhood. I myself could not care less. I use hunting rifles for hunting. Your videos prove time and time again that you don’t need to invest the GDP of a small country to get good results. Your videos are well constructed, informative and very easy to watch. Cheers from Down Under.
