I was so close to buying a c70. My only drawback is that I do a lot of whip pans at 45 degree shutter angle. It doesn’t look like it can handle that very well.
@@damiencooper I believe I’ve seen Garold undone do a rolling shutter test on it. It might have been the r5c though. Is the rolling shutter noticeable to you at 24fps with a 45 degree shutter angle for fast movement?
@@thedanpalen1 R5C has a lot worse rolling shutter due to the 8K sensor. But I personally have never had an issue with rolling shutter. I just never cared tbh 😅
@@damiencooper thank you for the reply! Yeah it never come up as an issue for me as I have alway shot on a GH5s, and just never noticed… until I tied to shoot at 45 degree shutter angle on R6, then I realized that the GH5s has very minimal rolling shutter.
I see you don't use negative fills, which is something that I always try to find a place for because I prefer moodier atmospheres and more contrast on talent's face. The lamp on background distracts from your face because they have the same colour. I would have done without it to make your skin stand out more.
Thanks for sharing your Setup. I'm interested in the intellytech leds because of their shallow depth and soft light. (thanks for your opinion) I am only disappointed with canon and now that my bayonet switch (ef to rf) is coming up, I am thinking about switching to sony (fx 3). I had been waiting all this time for a full frame cinema camera from canon (with better af, with rf bayonet, smaller form factor (max. like the c70), but every fair passed and frustration is slowly spreading.
@@damiencooper 😂 have big love to canon since my childtime. This makes it a very hard and difficult decision for me. I've always been patient and said that it's not worth switching for 5% better cameras, Canon will come with something cool(er) ... but now I don't feel like waiting any more. 👽
@@damiencooper Form Factor, Full Frame, for multi-camera setup possibly good to combine with FX30 (2x close-up per interview guest (always 2 people) + 3rd camera wide angle for overall ambience), better AF (so the multi-camera setup can only be set up and started - with possible focus control by walking back and forth between the cameras). FX3 good travel setup due to its size, better ambience setup due to low light performance (big city at night with people shots)... but I miss the built-in ND, whether Canon still has the better colours I can't judge, I would have to rent Sony first. (but maybe I am total wrong)
Hi Damien, Thanks for sharing your knowledge via your UA-cam channel. I am curious about a minor detail in relation to the C70. Do you use eye tracking or only face tracking? The reason I ask is because I experience blurring when eye tracking is active and especially in the type of scene you are doing (low lighting and large shadow areas) where the viewfinder simply switches between the eyes and the face. I have lowered the response time on the viewfinder myself, but am curious as to whether you experience the same and possibly what your experience is in relation to using eye tracking and what settings you have set?
Hi Damien, are you running noise reduction here and if so just the standard FCPX or something else? Im having issues with noise in my c70 and just trying to work out why that is and what others do about it.
Nice one Damien. Man you look so different in glasses! Thanks for sharing
The key light is sick… 😮
Clean setup! Lot of depth in that room...
Nice job Damien!
Your the best. Such a great job in detail and how simple you keep it.
Looking for that boom pole you have. It's exactly what I'm looking for. This setup looks incredible by the way.
Awesome setup - I have to check out that light mat. My office is like 35% softboxes 😂
dude, it's so amazing for small spaces!
I always enjoy your content and always learn something. Thanks Damien.
Glad to hear it!

Oh wow! Vielen Dank!
Fantastic breakdown, thank you.
Yes I bought one, too. What brand of filters should I buy? I saw Kase have a model for video, they said vnd-cpl and black mist are inclued.
I love it~^^
Thanks U~ for sharing your know-how

We’re all still waiting. 😅 that being said, I still take the C70 > everything else. But I also don’t shoot RF lenses
And btw: I love the Intellytech lights. I use them for almost everything

Pretty sure that’s mintro
@@damiencooper Thanks. Just rigged up my c70 and ready to go!

Still a long way 😂
How does the Sigma 35 work with the C70? I have a lot of AF noise clicking issues with the Sigma 18-35mm ART.
I rarely shoot autofocus and record audio at the same time. But I think it’s a lot less noisy than the 18-35 but you can still hear it
@@damiencooper Got it, thanks!
Do you shoot everything in clog2?
yes!
