Why do we feel that parents have to show our “best sides” for children to respect and obey us?
✨ Apologising is not a sign of weakness.✨
On the contrary, it is a sign of STRENGTH, maturity and willingness to take ownership over our mistakes.
What’s more important? We show that we value our relationship with our kids more than wanting to appear “right” in their eyes.
It might seem hard at first, but apologise anyway. Repair the ruptures in the relationship. It is from this place of humility and love, that demonstrates our sturdy leadership as parents.
