Perfect timing video. I bought the FX3 and LOVE S-Cinetone so I searched for videos about ZV-1 how to get S-Cinetone and found this amazing video. I’m now a new subscriber to your channel. Please keep uploading new content.
Great video man! I also have the Sony ZV-1 and I have tried the settings from Extrashot as well and so far so good and you're correct it doesn't have the Cine4 so I went with Cine2 as well. Great channel content man! Keep up the good work!
This Video instruction is absolutely great❤ Just bought a used ZV1 and followed your instructions. Colours look very natural👍Love it! Never had Sony Video colours so natural. Thank you so much!!!
This is very great. I bought it once it has been released and sold it. Today, I left my R6 at the office and went to the shop to get a new zv1. Love how small and powerful it is. A big thank you for this picture profile. I just change something, detail on -2
@@MichaelYoungKim Right now I am at -7 detail and always adding sharpness in post (lower blur to 0.48 in DR18). Would it be easier to just increase the detail to 0 to achieve the same thing in-camera? Would really appreciate your help!
@@siddj08 usually sharpness feature on the post processing software is better than in camera. So if you need a faster workflow, then you can bring up the detail in the camera but if you’re going to do post processing, you should just keep it and do it and post.
I recently got this camera and I love it! Change the stabilization setting to standard, it’ll zoom out more instead of it being super cropped. I have an unboxing and videos of this camera on my channel. Great compact camera.
Great video! Thank you for sharing! Do you have any idea how to find settings to mimic the classic chrome look from the Fuji simulations? I am thinking of buying the Sony Zv1 - your video is one of the reasons for sure :)
I have been trying to achieve the classic chrome look on the Sony, but not having any luck. I do have Fuji Xt4 and have been comparing colors to see if I can get it similar somehow. I will let you know if I come up with something :)
@@MichaelYoungKim hahaha so we have the same problem 😅 I own the Fuji xt3 and I am looking for a smaller camera that I can always take with me. Unfortunately Fuji has none with IS 🤦🏽♀️ the Sony seems to be such a powerhouse, but not being able to use classic chrome would be shitty.
@@roxisarobot i have been using the 18-55 kit lens which has the IS, so xt4 ibis + lens IS have been OK so far. BUT i still think Sony AF is way ahead of fuji IMO.
@@MichaelYoungKim yes the kit lense on the xt3 is great, but for the smaller camera I was looking at the x100v or xe4, but both offer no stabilization and you can’t attach lenses. So I guess I will get the Sony and hope to figure out the colour settings for the classic chrome
@@roxisarobot we are thinking the same thing lol i am waiting for the x100 series to upgrade their battery to the new one. I’m sure there is a way to replicate the classic chrome look. You just have to be good with color grading, which I am not 😅
Great video, thanks. I will buy a ZV 1 Mii soon and copy paste your setting. Now, do you think it is possible to create a VELVIA setting (from de Fuji velvia 35mm film, very used in 1980)? Thank you
Standard profile has the "baked in" look where it is somewhat limited when it comes to editing colors and dynamic range. For custom S-cinetone, you are shooting in log, in this case cine2, you will have more dynamic range and more flexibility when editing colors. Hope I made sense. :)

make sure you are not making these changes in Memory Recall. If you are making in these changes in Memory Recall, you should resave these settings to the Memory.
@@MichaelYoungKim oh ok so it must be exactly that the reason, what I?m trying to do is set the memories like you suggested M1 for video M2 for slow mo M3 for pictures. but then if I wasn't to associate the "cinetone"PP do I need to do it NOT in memory recall and then it will stay? gonna try. awesome content by the way :-) thanks
In this earlier video Evershot suggested settings for the A7iii using Cine2 ua-cam.com/video/UxzgMkVjKo4/v-deo.html I do agree though the ZV-1 has a different colours - closer to the A7siii I have been using the earlier C2 version on my ZV-1 for a while, it usually looks best a little underexposed if anything, which is also true for real cinetone. I also have a much older R100v which looks reasonably close, so any Sony camera with Picture Profiles is worth having a play.
