You're a good lad Joe. I wish that my dad was still here to buy him a watch.
Had mine for 4 years , just clocked up 91k , always looked after it and it hasn’t put a foot wrong yet.. its my 5th one too, 4:17 guess I’ve been lucky then 😬🤞
You are a good son . Happy dad .❤
I bought a 15 plate 4.4 autobiography dynamic 67k FSH full spec over the moon with it (booked at 22k online)
rear diff serviced gearbox sump pan done absolutely gorgeous - rear suspension pipe went one random morning that got sorted, other than that no issues! Oh and I’ve put a ghost on it and tracker just in case - insured no problem with Esure (north west area)
well done Joe you did your Dad a good turn!!
Just found your channel and it’s amazing love the vids thank you. Glad your dad liked the car 👍
Thanks and welcome
Great episode ,love the auction bidding ,good to see what newer ones go for.
Really enjoyed this video Joe.. Please do more like this.. 👍
Thanks! Will do!
The force is strong with you Shifting Metal. I used your discount code to do a vehicle check last week (which I've subsequently purchased). I am now planning on doing some coding on said vehicle to make a few changes. Lo and behold, your sponsor is OBDEleven offering a discount, serendipity at its finest. Great vid BTW.
Awesome thank you!
@@ShiftingMetalI'm looking to go on holiday in the summer , so if your next vid could be sponsored and discount offered from a holiday company, much appreciated. 😏
Thank you always good to see a LR fan make videos about LR’s I know you only do current models ever considers looking at the markup on a series 2 ?
I’d be terrified to buy one! I know nothing about them
Enjoy this sort of video Joe. More please. 👍
Another interesting video and I enjoy your friendly presentations - keep them coming... I've been looking at a diagnostic tool for a while and just ordered an OBD 👍
Awesome!
Love the drone footage Joe👍🏻
Great upload.. Good to see your looking after your Dad..!!
Really enjoyed this video. Nice to see the in's and outs of what you look for to help a potential sale. In previous video's your help and advice helped me get my abarth competizione. A big thank you for your up front honesty on how a proper sales rep should work.
Glad to hear it, you’re welcome!
I just took delivery of a lovely L405 4.4 AB that I got from a dealer auction. I envy your prices in uk.
Great cars! Nice spec on yours, sliding pan, heated wheel & meridian are all key! Shocked at some of the prices such as the Autobiography you bid on was very high. Im seeing facelift models sell much under cap recently! Nice buy!
Great drone footage too, slick video
Well done on this buy, sounds good and providing all continues to go well, a great car to own and drive for dad.
I drive a 2006 L320 (Range Rover sport).
I purchased it because I’m a wheelchair user and the boot space ticked my boxes but also, the height adjustable suspension is a game changer for me getting in and out the car!
I have since fallen in love with the car and it’s done me proud!
Also, just to add… I love watches too 😜
Would love to win that beauty!
I subscribed all the way from Australia love your channel, 😊
Blimey it’s almost like this video was synced with the sponsor 😂😂 that white 520 touring in the background is a beaut mind 😍😂
Nice car, good video. Your dad brought up a good son, with good family values. Nice one.
Thanks 👍
Service for your dad perfect 👍🏽😎
These videos are wafting over as smooth as Range Rovers! Keep 'em coming.
Thanks, will do!
I had one the same age and it was a fantastic car but my wife wanted a jag xj so we know have an XJ as she thinks she’s the boss ?
Knowing your dad will be able to get in and out comfortably is whey better than a good profit. Good on ya Joe for doing the right thing. He'll appreciate it massively and if people wanna think you're the son of a millionaire let em. You know where you cone from and that's all that matters mate.
Thanks mate 👍
well said -really weird people make comments abt family that way when know nothing and so what nywy
Joe honestly mate if I see a car I like and you’re selling it’ll be a pleasure in buying from you. Thanks for the videos, every Sunday morning I sit in bed and it’s my cereal and cup of tea and me and the Mrs watch your weekly.
Thanks mate!
Defo up for watching, liking and commenting on more car purchase videos ❤
First time tuning in..impressed with the presentation of your channel looking forward to seeing more ..hope you're dad's still enjoying his car. Cheers.
Thanks!
4 services with 16k service interval?! not too bad. Due 80k service and year away from cambelt change. All 4 tyres probably done together due to protecting rear differential.
Just had a cambelt, oil pump belt etc etc totally £3200 too 👌
'wanker tank' - epic! 🤣
Think Joe should offer that to RR and they could use it in their promotional material. Lots of potential buyers would identify with that label.
😂
Or Chelsea Tractor.
Great video mush. Terrific looking out for the old fella.
Hope the car works out for you all
Have heard them called a W@n£ Panzer, before. But I’d probably have one I had a few bob spare 👍
Yeah so would I!
Should of asked for more 😂 . I enjoyed that video 👌
Love watching your channel Joe, when you going to do an auction vid mate. Not seen one since the challenge you had with the other guys… unless I’ve missed it. 😉👌
I will try to do one soon, most auctions don’t let you film though!
I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
Loving your videos, really helpful for start-up car dealer like me.
Can you recommend a cost-effective product for cleaning engine bays during prep
Thanks. G101 or a citrus degreaser. Keep an eye on the channel for a detailed car cleaning video soon!
You're a good lad Joe!!!
You didnt turn the Dynamic mode on ..dash goes red, suspension stiffens up, throttle response is tweeked, amd the steering gets sharper...a Range Rover sport without dynamic mode is a completely different beast..i wouldnt even look at one without the dynamic function...you thiught it drove nice before, have a go with Dynamic switched on!! Youll love it!
Please do more like this
Great video, 👍 and well done for looking after your Dad, top man. 👍 👏👏👏👏 👍
Very enjoyable video. Lots of variety. Kindest regards 🇨🇦
Thanks Bill
Yes this is definitely a good video. Much better format than you have done before which I found tended to be too many snapshots of scenes.
Nice. Give us more LR related content :)
Well done for trying to buy your dad a car, by the time we were in a position to do nice things for ours he was gone ⚰️
Nice upload 👍
I used to fly into Blackbushe regularly. I had my first and only air miss filed at the CAA on me when I mistakenly routed back to Shoreham from Blackbushe via Popham - I didn't notice the glider school. A glider was being towed up on a winch beneath me. I saw him when he was level with me about 100 feet away. You should get a PPL. It's very easy.
I would love to, maybe one day
Great Video , Love Your Reviews 😊
Great video mate
Gotta be *REAL* careful these days, there's gadgets out there which are designed to be patched into the CAN bus cabling which actively look for and reset fault codes as they happen "for "diagnostic" purposes".
Except they're cheap enough that you could fit them and use them to mask recurring problems on a vehicle to make it possible to sell to some poor unsuspecting mug.
Don't worry about earning a profit, always remember that you can't do enough for a great Dad!
Absolutely, I was just kidding
Great content
Anyone that buys a JLR product, is a brave, brave person - some would say stupid! 'Wanker tank' is about the most accurate description I have heard. Brilliant!!
The word on the street is that you'll be on first name terms with the local LR Service Manager in no time.....
Here we go. The "I want a Range Rover but can't afford one" brigade.
@@TicketyBoo. unless you live on a farm or tow something then why you’d ever want a Range Rover is completely beyond me
Have a jag few minor niggles no better or worse than my previous 5 series
@@TicketyBoo. Affordability is not an issue. I just chose a car that works. Why assume it’s about money. Or is that the reason most people buy them, to enhance their ego and reduce their insecurities?
Nice one looking after dad 👍
Banging vid👍🏻👌🏻
I know one person who owned one and he told me his insurance went up by over 1000. Shortly after it got robbed
Good luck, you’ll need it with 3.0d crank snapper..
🤞🤞🤞
Like in all cars you get good ones and bad ones. I got a 09 l322 tdv8 with 218000 miles on it. Still pull Like a mule train. Love em.
Change the oil every 5k on the 3.0d and the engines usually are ok. Lack of maintenance saves shorterm and costs long term. But to be fair they are terrible on reliability. Engineered to break
I've just bought a chilli red one, soo much better than the usual black etc... get loads of comments about how great the colour is...
Yeah I love that red!
“It’s a 3L diesel so nothing to worry about there?” Apart from them snapping cranks, throwing rods and spinning big end bearing? Yup nothing to worry about there 😮 🤦🏻♂️ brave brave man indeed. Mind you daddy millions will fix it if it goes wrong. That was a joke of course. Love the channel and content mate, keep it up😉🇬🇧
Yeah I know but I meant to say in comparison to the 2.0 ingenium engines
@@ShiftingMetal I’d trust Elon musks rocket over the 2.0 ingenium to be fair mate 🚀 💥
I'm going to be honest, i like all your content don't get me wrong but this was a very good video, Start to finish. Brilliant well done i personally would love more stuff like this be great to see more high power cars on your channel too get a golf R in or RS3😊
Thanks, will do!
Love these fly on the wall sessions, thanks very much. Can you tell us what happened with that crook who rejected the Pork after nearly a year of ownership?
Still arguing over the deposit amount!
I unfortunately can’t drive at the moment due to a eye issue, my last car was a ml350 merc which I have to to drive around because it was chromed up with front and back and sides with all the bumper etc so I had very few cars who wished to cut me up to join the lane, I was under the impression that cars of the calibre of your previous was at this price, however I would be assuming it would not be able to drive on the road for long due to the new laws “ if any one could confirm this with me that would be great” anyway, I would definitely consider buying one of these cars or something similar where you can look down at people who are vexed with me for something. Great channel with helpful information. 👍🚗🚙
I think your my long lost son
I’d like a Rangy too 😂😂
Top man 👌
😂
Nice motor Joe
Well known for DPF problems etc. Lots of videos on o rileys channel. Check the throttle body flap to make sure its not sticking
DPF issues, as Jimmy O’Reilly says, are no different to any other brand.
He sent me 16k, I could of asked more but now its awkward, so thanks Dad 😂😂😂😂 love it. Just sent you £5k for 500 Abarth , Adrian is on his way, dont ask for more.....its awkward 😂
No worries 😂😂
Just bought an OBD from watching this video, thanks Joe
Last year I bought a similar product from one of the videos. Not this brand but the one that shares its name with a female singer with the surname Simon. You’re so vain 😜
Seeing this reminded me of a series one range rover I saw recently and boy do they seem to fetch money
Am getting one.Always had the love for Rangies,my dad had two in Africa back in the days 😂😂😂😂,you just woke that spirit in moah, now just have to convince misses that we need one to add to the collection 😂😂😂😂
😂
You forgot to tell us that you checked that fault after you drove it , was it still there
Can’t beat a good Range 😮❤
Love ‘em
With the obd11 do u have to pay per year prescription and dose it charge u credits wen doing upgrades
No sub. You can use credits to use widgets to make changed but you can do the long coding without cost
Nice car for your dad, more range rovers please
Wait, so on a video where your sponsor is an OBD company you call it ODB in the title?! 🤪
Toby!!
Haha. I really think I’m a bit dyslexic, I always get that the wrong way around!
What happened with the code you cleared, did it come back? Enjoyed that 👍🏻
No! Not yet anyway! 😂
wicked I need some good luck
I know about the hardship that can come with a RR but I'm still smitten by them.
"Wanker Tanker" 😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Legendary 🙌
Good car for a good father by a good son
Quality ✌🏼
3lt has issues with the crank bearings . Not all of them there is no pattern with it just pot luck unfortunately. Hopefully not in this case. Side steps can be got and fitted new for less than £200 . The 4.4 sdv8 is the ones to look for in the future. Great videos enjoy the content. Wheels are 21 inch autobiography rims
I worked for jlr for 10 years the problem is with a bad batch of oil pumps not enough pressure nobody knows which models are effected it's pot luck best to have plenty of oil changes & use 5-40 oil instead of the 5-30 it will increase the pressure slightly.
There is a pattern. Poor maintenance & a maintenance interval that’s far too long.
Don't forget me fella - I'd die for that watch!
Not something I would consider, however, it looks lovely and a lovely colour imo I think you've actually done well with your 'wanker tank'....hilarious!🤣👍
fab video and subscribed
Condition reports are available online which should note major defects and especially cracked pan roofs. Grade might give you some clues .
Obd2 scanner to clear the DTC light every 200 miles.
Truth.
Can I use the OBD to turn on the stop/start in my GLC which was deactivated before I bought it?🤔
I've just turned my start stop off,as Scotty, mechanic, vlogger,USA,says, can have an extra 75% extra wear on engine..due to start ups all the time
@@chrisallen9009 Ahh fair enough I will leave it that way then save me long term stress
I'm having an absolute whale of a time trying to source a good Kia Ceed as the second car for my eldest to replace her little 1.25 Fiesta. The trade's idea of 'excellent condition inside and out' seems to mean 'the bodywork lost a fight with a horse and a tramp has been sleeping in it'.
👍
Yer dad is really lucky to have such a decent son. Nice one Joe you have bagged him a belter of a car, love it in that colour.
Thanks . He is bloody lucky 👍😂
Buyers fees are so high.
Great video.
Thanks!
I have owned a range rover sport before but on the narrow country lanes I live they seem a really wide vehicle, I drive a transit van a lot the RR seems wider, so I have been offered a few recently 2014 for £11 to 12k, 2016 for £16k but there so unreliable and expensive to fix I bought a mates 2016 euro 6 cayenne 3,0d with £24000 of factory extras and 66000 miles , I gave £21500 for it it's not as wide as a sport and the crank isn't going to snap and it should not dissappear durtge night
Would you rather a sport or a velar? And why please ?
Looks great
They used to say the only difference between a hedgehog and a Range Rover is hedgehogs have pricks on the outside😂😂
Not your dad tho, I’m sure he’s a lovely fella 😁
It’s a Porsche that’s said about!!
😂
I have absolutely no interest in cars whatsoever. However I stumbled across your UA-cam channel. And watched the whole episode…well done sir …….you’re doing something right
Awesome! Thank you!
