I've done a few different configurations on my 05. I installed a single to dual super 44 system the first time. I cut, grinded, mocked, and welded up a drivers side tailpipe that matches the side dumpout behind tire. Then i had bought a 3" stamped y pipe and deleted the super 44 with intentions of matching ypipe connector to the xpipe. That didn't happen that time around. Still had full back duals. I installed a 10 series before the stamped ypipe for maybe 6 months. Didn't like the tone so I removed the 10 series and had muffler delete single to duals all way back. Just bought all new piping to do new dual side dumps before the tire and will have xpipe tied in this time. Looking forward
Got my flexplate in, I snapped the other one in 2 pieces! Everything lined up. But I blew the transmission! AHA! So I get to do it all over! 😭 it’s been MONTHS. I’m trying to find a Cheap used or rebuilt transmission. Anyone in Oklahoma got one? Or even rebuilding mine by myself. I’m crazy LOL
I bet its loud as heck at freeway speeds and no fun on long trips. Some people like loud I don't, although I would like a little more deep V8 rumble so I'm gonna go with a muffler change, I'm just not sure which one yet.
Dude if youre still trying to decide and havent just done a muffler delete try it. Its loud at cold start, but quiets down quick, you can take it through neighborhoods surpisingly quiet, hardly any drone at all, like almost none until youre at 2k rpms. Its just right

“It’ll work for now” story of my life😂
Exactly what i said too when i did the same with my ole truck xD
Picking up an 06 in a few days, can't wait to try it

I’m changing my flexplate. Might drop the muffler while in at it lol. Thanks for saying to support it I’ve dropped too much shit today 🤣

Ahhh fuck... I think I know what I'm doing tomorrow lol
Did it make a big difference after connecting the rest of the pipe back up vs just leaving the void in the middle?

Hey man nice video, are the cats near the front? Just dont want to do this and it messing with emissions at all.
The muffler is to quiet the sound, nothing to do with emissions.
Just don't mess with the cat and all should be just fine.
Yes both cats are part of ypipe that come off manifolds
Did the muffler delete and sounds badass.

Big Haha Epic Gamer why wouldn’t it?

Wait can I just cut the muffler off and leave it or do I have to add a pipe like you did
I’d definitely add a tail pipe to get the fumes and sound from under the truck
@@DivotsLawnCareKinsman If i Cant get them, could I just cut the muffle off?, and my truck would be ok?,i have a 07 v8 cateye

Doubt it
yes. anything behind the cats will pass. anything before the cats will get ya state ref’d
Why not just wait until you can do it properly. You could've done that properly for $50-$75.
