@@DarthxR2sounds 10x better than running straight pipes out the back with echo tips. That shitty clapping sound making all that noise not going anywhere.
God rhey sound like hell when u do that. Its so easy to stick s piece of pipe in after. Wouldn't even bother doing that if i was just gonna cut it off and leave it
@@TheGreatDemiGodsounds alot better then running stalls out the back with big tips that does all that stops clapping. Cutting it off leaving like this one a actually sounds pretty good. I would run it back close to the back saddle and just dump it there.
What is that whistling noise? I have the same noise on my 5.3, increases as you’re on the throttle so it’s gotta be something rotating. Maybe one of the pulleys?
@@michaelmacdonald329 I ended up taking mine off a few days after that comment. It rumbles in the cab a bit for sure man haha it’s sweet tho. Did yours rust off?
I kept it this way so far, it might be too loud for some people but it doesnt bother me, i have subs too so i dont even hear it really, although i just got the front end rebuilt and ill be rebuilding the engine in the next year or so (260k) so i think ill put a flowmaster on after that
If you have no muffler and it is just straight exhaust you lose horse power and it will pop and crack every time you let off the throttle it need some type of back pressure you should have bought a free flow muffler instead
i love the fact that people still think you need back pressure, you dont want back pressure. you dont want anything coming into your exhaust, only out. least amount of back pressure you have the better
@@michaelmacdonald329 just saying man but if he would be original exhaust back on it and ran it in the dyno then he took the exhaust back off he’d notice the one with muffler would have more horsepower on the dyno but diesels on the other hand it makes you gain horsepower if you straight pipe because they run of pressure
I remember the day my muffler fell off of my 5.3 cat eye was the best day of my life 😂 god I miss that truck
We’ve all done it, Rock on buddy 🤘🏽
This is how my Tahoe sounds! 😍
Sounds like a irrigation motor
😂😂
My buddy said it sounds like a tractor 😜
@@DarthxR2 Agreed.

My catback dual exhaust with deleted cat and super 44 series is way louder but itm feel like im in high-school again driving it

Did you put a pipe on the exhaust or did you cut it off and leave it off!
Looks and sounds like he left it cut off.

Nope these trucks need mufflers doing x pipe with dual in dual out flowmaster muffler on my 00 Silverado
Literally how mine sounds with shorty headers 😭

Ever figure it out? Mines the same
Probably pulleys but I think they all do it
99% chance says it’s the alternator
@@TRU2Sk9ng1992 Either the alternator or the accessory pulley.
Alternator was done shortly after
Was the truck a stock?
Got the same engine. Did a muffler delete and sounds exactly the same. Absolutely amazing
@@sirsir7531I think I might cut mines off too sounds awesome!! Dose it do anything to the truck after? I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3?
Do is lose power or anything or give you more power?
I havent noticed any power lost, i still pass smog, eventually i put a flowmaster on it but i just did it like this cause im a broke boi
I miss the sound of mine and the smell of 40% E85
Just the muffler cut off?
I think
Indeed
Put a Flowmaster 40
Nobody understands the word “delete”??? Nada , no more, gone
Needs a Thrush Turbo muffler.
i’ve got an 07, bout to throw a cam, different heads, intake manifold, headers, remove the cats and thrush welded. duals out the back man
Is it too loud or did you keep it that way?
mine fell off today. it rumbles in the cab like crazy, if the windows are down you have to raise your voice/yell. It's a bit much but I enjoy it lmao

Honestly bearable but you definitely notice

no. it doesn't. not one bit. everything after the cat is not needed at all

Shoulda left the respirator
the 99-06 and 07 classics didn’t have resonators
No resonator, just muffler and cats
