People in the Academy believe other movies did it better, like every year for the last 90 years, and have to make a decision based on factors in their perspective as critical artists, and thats just it, no need to value their opinions too much, we know how great this movie is.
Best Rocky montage ever, this movie was amazing. My father died of cancer. I remember doing everything Adonis did, down to the Ensure shakes. Made me shed a tear.
Man I wish stalone was in creed 3 the chemistry between them was just incredible it's like a father and son relationship hope he'll be back for creed 4

Sean Houlker HELL YEA!!!! I drop a tear every time on that scene. When the riders circle him and then they all look up at the window giving it up for Rocky
The beauty of this movie was that Ryan Coogler loved ROCKY, and in every scene he masterfully tied the old to the new with every shot. I absolutely thought this movie was a bad idea, and i absolutely watch it over and over. Every performance on point. Great work Michael B. Jordan!! Stallone went places in this movie he never ever expected.......
+causeis3002 A duty for the young ones and when they fulfil it, it shows the quality of man they are setting up to become and gives us the old school a priceless feeling in the heart.
The success of this movie just proves that if it wasn't for the failure of Rocky 5, Stallone wouldn't have had the incentive and push to make things right again with Rocky 6, which would eventually lead to the making this film and earning him an Oscar nomination - a true Underdog story through all 7 Rocky films.
@@charlescooks9360 this is a series that includes some of the best, most inspiring and iconic films and characters of all time. Being ‘not that bad’ isn’t good enough for a Rocky film.

That build up in the music at 3:32 leading to that final roar Apollo let out and the transition into the slow motion shot with the bikers and that amazing soundtrack. Jesus fucking christ. This is an incredibly motivational scene.
1:52 I love that shot because earlier him and Rocky were on the bags together and now he's by himself and there's so much emotion behind that shit. 2:54 Eye Of The Tiger
Rocky is the one who motivated me to start doing work out. I would have been laying on the sofa all day at my house, eating carbohydrates and gaining weight, but this champion, this old man gave me a lot of motivation. Thanks to him for all of this stuff. Love you, Rocky.
This scene made me legit weep. It was at this moment (3:58) that I witnessed a cinematic legend like Rocky Balboa passing the torch to a new legend; it was nothing short of divine.
This is my favorite scene of the entire movie. Most motivational music piece and training footage. The music is fantastic, I love the training music. perfect combination. My favorite movie of 2015.
I love how this scene captures the spirit of Rocky training montage but at the same time celebrating the individual culture that pertains to the main character. Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan works so well together. I can't wait for Creed II.
Easily my favorite scene of the entire movie. So much heart, so much humanity, so tough and so tender at the same time. It feels so real you forget it’s a movie and they are just acting. The way Adonis continues to rep the ‘hood and yet fit so well into Rocky’s life is amazing. A little bit street and a little bit smooth-the perfect blend. Ryan Coogler is an EXCELlENT director.
1:03 hit hard... His face when he is helplessly watching the one guy who believed in him fight a battle so tough all alone, like no amount of punches will save Rock and all Adonis can do is be the for him from the Sidelines
Really like that they show his opponent training like a dawg too. Would have been easy to show him slacking and looking past Creed but instead they show the champion working his ass off to keep that title. Builds the tension up nice to that final fight.
Cinematography at its best !!! This scene gives me chills every time. The entire Rocky series and spin offs are expertly done. Pure genius and incredibly inspiring.
There were so many parallels with Rocky's younger life & struggles, all intertwined so beautifully with Creed's plot. Take this training montage alone; remember how Adrian had fallen ill from working at the pet shop and was near dying at childbirth in Rocky II? The way Rocky had given up on fighting without her by his side? And then when she gives birth to Robert, she encourages him to 'Win' -- cue the 'Going The Distance' track with its Bell intro and we have Rocky back at the gym. Here there's Rocky sick and suddenly, he's motivated Creed to get training right away -- you'll notice the Bell from 'Going The Distance' sound at just the same instance. Then training at the gym -- before ending with a run. Similar to how Rocky kissed Rocky Jr. in the crib in Rocky II, set into a run through Philly, calling children on the street to run alongside him to the steps. Here's Creed calling Bikers to ride alongside him. They finish with the bikers/children circling them and the training montage ends. What a brilliant film; watched it thrice already.
This was how you knew Creed was gonna win. He had Rocky's old fire, he had his Dad's technical perfection, and he wasn't giving up, even if you set his feet on fire, he'd still jog the miles. He had a legend in his corner and he wasn't giving up. I fucking love this movie.
Every time I see the scene of Creed taking care of Rocky it breaks me because I understand how difficult it is to see someone you love sick with cancer (I experienced it with a person I loved for a long time...) this scene inspires me a lot.
Jesus, that song gets me pumped. Every. Single. Time! Especially the part where he stops and realizes the other guy is still training so he's gotta keep going. Oh man!
+Peter Hankammer Even for an old gen as myself hooked to Getting stronger... I have to admit this track is really motivating. The amount of times The Lord Got me out of trouble in training with this track already is awesome. God Bless.
Its always hard when legacy sequels have to compete with those iconic moments from previous movies...but holy hell did Creed step up to the challenge. I love this scene and the movie in genernal.
Even if we're not from the hood, we all recognize there's something powerful about that community throwing their support behind you. It's a call to arms by those with warrior spirits. The ultimate co-sign. It's profoundly beautiful.
Awesome scene! After losing to Clubber Lang, Creed Sr. took Rocky from Philly to his home(LA) to train. Rocky brought Creed Jr from LA to Philly to train. It all came to full circle. Though Jr is from LA he gained the heart of Philly while there.
Michael b Jordan is such a good actor. I can’t see anyone but him playing this role. When Rocky is at the toilet and Adonis is at the door looking super sad and about to breakdown is such a short quick moment but so well acted that it really gets to you
Best scene in the movie. The movie was all the Rocky's combined if you analyze it meticulously. A new face who carries 2 legacies, Apollo's blood and Rocky's training.
I absolutely loved this movie. The training montage was perfect in my opinion. The soundtrack is also absolutely mind blowing and I use it for when I'm doing any kind of exercise, including boxing. Thanks so much for uploading this clip!
+Makkusu Your welcome just giving back little from the much I have downloaded from everyone's efforts God Bless us all. As part of the old school generation I have added this clip to my usual all Rocky training montages only Our Lord and I know just how much motivation they inspire for us to push that little GIGANTIC much further! Best Wishes
It shouldn't. Award academies or groups still have an iron steel old guard. Even though the golden globes is slightly more up with the times, the Oscar's still has the overwhelming sophistication aspect for theater. That's why most movies that you've never heard of are nominated or win. They would never in a million years go parade out their best picture of the year is Creed. Hopefully in 20 30 years that will change when some of those old bastards dies off.
It's a damn shame Michael should've atleast been nominated, Stallone probably should've won for supporting and I forgot who scored it I think it was Ludweig garrison but regardless the score should've been nominated
Creed is the best movie for me in 2015. This movie fires my heart, and this training part is the one of the best shot in the movie in terms of vision and sound.
The best of the franchise since the original Rocky, and honestly... Maybe even better. This scene alone makes you want to reach for greatness. It's absolutely beautiful.

..he got a shit ton of praise that he deserved along with other awards. Everyone KNEW everything he put into it and it greatly rewarded his career, status and reputation. People in the Academy believe other movies did it better, like every year for the last 90 years, and have to make a decision based on factors in their perspective as critical artists, and thats just it, no need to value their opinions too much, we know how great this movie is.
This movie is why he got to direct Black Panther.
buster rymes fuck off it doesn't matter black or white it's a good movie
Michael B Jordan should’ve got the Oscar
As much as I love Star Wars. Creed was really my favorite movie of 2015.
The Martian was my favorite of 2015 but this and Force Awakens were easily in my top 3.
ikr
For me, it's: 1. Creed 2. Mad Max: Fury Road 3. The Force Awakens.
for me it was dope
Ballistic Fingerprints Same
Best Rocky montage ever, this movie was amazing. My father died of cancer. I remember doing everything Adonis did, down to the Ensure shakes. Made me shed a tear.
Can't put anything passed the original.
JJ_RaW_nUNCUT Fuck off.
@@mesiiahe7350 that guy was a dick
The hardest part in any training isn’t the training itself. But rather to not give up and keep going forward no matter what.
Man I wish stalone was in creed 3 the chemistry between them was just incredible it's like a father and son relationship hope he'll be back for creed 4
Seems unlikely
There won't be a creed 4
@@josuemontes8389is this confirmed ?
Let's hope. Creed 4 is most definitely confirmed.
I think its gonna be called "Creed IV: The Final Chapter"
Did anyone shed a tear or two during this incredibly passionate and emotional scene?
man bro i am bout to right now watching this scene it met so much especially if you used to be in sports and trained your ass off.
John Lincoln Hawk dude when those bike pop the wheely and saw Rocky at the window, my eyes drop tears, I nearly smack myself and said shut your bitch ass up
Sean Houlker HELL YEA!!!! I drop a tear every time on that scene. When the riders circle him and then they all look up at the window giving it up for Rocky
Only a true man will shed his tears watching this scene
Bich stfu it’s just a movie it ain’t That s- nevermind I just cried too
2:14 ...look how he LISTENS to Rocky...he has such respect for him.
supastar thats uncle rock!
Ikr! lol...they have such a solid relationship
gotta listen to the badass uncle
Unlike Tommy Gunn who stabbed his back for money and fame.
@Milton Tavares it's good that Tommy betrayed him because Adonis was a worthy successor to Rocky's legacy
I watch this scene before I go work out some times
Same
Lol I downloaded the "lord knows" Rocky edition for working out 😂😂
Clorox Bleach I really doubt you work out, since you are always on UA-cam
Clorox Bleach me too
Me too tbh
This scene is worth the entire franchise… the only montage to bring me to tears. That leukemia part hit me hard…. RIP Grandpa, you my dawg!
The respect the young brothers showed for Creed and Rocky was amazing.
This music gets me everytime! It makes me want to tear shit up!!!

At the end how they show respect to him is so beautiful and emotional at the same time.
+causeis3002 A duty for the young ones and when they fulfil it, it shows the quality of man they are setting up to become and gives us the old school a priceless feeling in the heart.
+Floss Cov agree bro, a bit of old school for actual generations, God bless you.
+causeis3002 Absolutely bro cheers, God Bless you too take care.
+causeis3002 Can't believe Tommy throw all that away.
+Leo Lim really, a totally ass, he ruined it all.
2:56 one of the most epic scenes in cinema
I love how Adonis is not only training but taking care of rocky the father he never had
Kenny Tee rocky 5 wasn't as bad people were complaining about. People are just over dramatic
@@charlescooks9360 this is a series that includes some of the best, most inspiring and iconic films and characters of all time. Being ‘not that bad’ isn’t good enough for a Rocky film.
All the best Rocky movies were centered around Creed
@@charlescooks9360thank you I watched rocky 5 recently it was a perfect aftermath to rocky 4 by then rocky retired from brain damage he legit took in rocky 4 against drago
That build up in the music at 3:32 leading to that final roar Apollo let out and the transition into the slow motion shot with the bikers and that amazing soundtrack. Jesus fucking christ. This is an incredibly motivational scene.
car dan insane goosebumps!!!
1:52 I love that shot because earlier him and Rocky were on the bags together and now he's by himself and there's so much emotion behind that shit.
2:54 Eye Of The Tiger
Brenden Johnson Ryan Coogler is a genius
Brenden Johnson “Look around Rocky. They got it. That’s what we gotta get back. The Eye of the Tiger.”
- Apollo Creed.
it´s incredible when the camera goes up and shows Rocky and the harmony of the music changes, Adonis is honoring him, and the music too.
Rocky is the one who motivated me to start doing work out. I would have been laying on the sofa all day at my house, eating carbohydrates and gaining weight, but this champion, this old man gave me a lot of motivation. Thanks to him for all of this stuff. Love you, Rocky.
This is the guy who will direct the Black Panther movie? YES YES 100X YES!!!!!!!
CULP FICTION I'm from the future, Ryan Coogler killed Black Panther. Legendary film just like this one.
Hey there, also from the future. Theres gonna be a creed 2 and its gonna blow this one out the water. Just a heads up.

This brought tears to my eyes , I haven’t seen anything beautiful like this in a movie in a very long time
2:55 that steady beat gets me so pumped up.
This scene made me legit weep. It was at this moment (3:58) that I witnessed a cinematic legend like Rocky Balboa passing the torch to a new legend; it was nothing short of divine.
I'm not a big Meek fan but I'm glad they used him here
Only because it was Philly. I don't like him solo, he's alright when he's not alone on the track.
JJ_RaW_nUNCUT wat stfu
This is my favorite scene of the entire movie. Most motivational music piece and training footage. The music is fantastic, I love the training music. perfect combination. My favorite movie of 2015.
I love how this scene captures the spirit of Rocky training montage but at the same time celebrating the individual culture that pertains to the main character. Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan works so well together. I can't wait for Creed II.
Exactly! Well said.
Wait till they watch creed 3
That scream while he was running combined with the girl singing gave me goosebumps.
Jhene Aiko
The score in this film is unbelievable, so much heart and weight in the whole thing.
If you're a Rocky fanatic like myself. This scene pulls at your heartstrings.
BEST SCENE IN THE FILM. This was epic on so many levels to those of us who grew up watching the Rocky movies!
+Sean Braganza Excellent points.
+Sean Braganza So happy that people get this. VERY nice analysis man.
And yet people say it's nothing like the original
This was how you knew Creed was gonna win. He had Rocky's old fire, he had his Dad's technical perfection, and he wasn't giving up, even if you set his feet on fire, he'd still jog the miles. He had a legend in his corner and he wasn't giving up. I fucking love this movie.
He did not win tho
God Bless.
Ryan Coogler is really good. I can't wait to see what he does with Black Panther.
I first paid attention to him on Fruitvale Station...he's a really good director
THat's exactly why I keep wathicng this. BP is gonna be a beast. The cast is one of the best ensembles black white or otherwise in recent history.
Mr69hammertime yes, can't wait either!
zabbok will also be redemption for mbj for the 2015 f4 fuck up

Man, this scene. The whole chemistry of it, from the camera work to the score. Masterful.
This may be the first movie scene to ever get me close to tears. Such an amazing score and just overall amazing scene.

Lol Hajime no Ippo
And I love that it’s centered around two people from two vastly different cultures... yet both are American and as tough as steel

The silhouette of Rocky at 1:30, iconic and creepy at the same time
+hrivera007 an iron soul into a dying body.

this entire scene is prolly one of the most iconic out of the franchise
Creed's trainer looks interesting. I wish they could make a Creed prequel starring his trainer when he was young.
Lol thT would be awsome prly wont ever happen tho
1:31 The combination of the focus pull and the bass in the orchestra is AMAZING
I don't get how people could dislike this, this is one of the greatest and most inspirational movies EVER!!!🙌
Its always hard when legacy sequels have to compete with those iconic moments from previous movies...but holy hell did Creed step up to the challenge. I love this scene and the movie in genernal.
This is the movie Rocky fans deserved. Creed was the awakening. New blood carrying the torch.
"MAKE HISTORY CREED!" chills man....
I gotta say both Rocky and Creed movies have the best training montages
Even if we're not from the hood, we all recognize there's something powerful about that community throwing their support behind you. It's a call to arms by those with warrior spirits. The ultimate co-sign. It's profoundly beautiful.
Awesome scene! After losing to Clubber Lang, Creed Sr. took Rocky from Philly to his home(LA) to train. Rocky brought Creed Jr from LA to Philly to train. It all came to full circle. Though Jr is from LA he gained the heart of Philly while there.
I loved that you could see and understand almost every word Adonis was mouthing at the end, makes the scene even more exciting and epic
Michael b Jordan is such a good actor. I can’t see anyone but him playing this role. When Rocky is at the toilet and Adonis is at the door looking super sad and about to breakdown is such a short quick moment but so well acted that it really gets to you
I've never been so hype while tearing up...
Best Wishes
Out of the Creed Trilogy, this is still my favorite Training Montage
I used to play this before every floor hockey game I had to pump myself up. I remember watching this movie in the theatre.
"let's make history creed"
How this movie won no Oscars baffles me
It shouldn't.
Jesus man I'm a huge rocky fan and honestly this training montage got me teary eyed and pumped at the same time
Creed is the best movie for me in 2015. This movie fires my heart, and this training part is the one of the best shot in the movie in terms of vision and sound.
The way the music starts again after rocky says he thinks he's got something up his sleeve for you is legendary
The best of the franchise since the original Rocky, and honestly... Maybe even better. This scene alone makes you want to reach for greatness. It's absolutely beautiful.
