Toyota should consider hiring you as a Tundra QA consultant at this point. You put out better content than ANYONE on their payroll. Nice job and thanks for the how-to on this
Thanks a lot Ted, I really appreciate that!!...I’m just glad you guys are liking the content I’m putting out, makes me want to keep doing it, thanks for watching!!
Thanks for this! For people who have a 2020-21 Tundra with the full LED/HID headlights (TRD Pro) and upgraded to both morimoto xb headlights and taillights, it appears you have to reverse this procedure (move white and black wire from side to middle) otherwise your running tail lights wont work. This is super helpful!
@@NitroZ18Fishing I was bored and went out to do it in my driveway. Done in 20-25 minutes each side. I didn’t even remove the grill, battery or washer fluid reservoir and I have no hyper flashing either
Great video on the connection thank you. But why are you bringing it in for the 15,000 mile check. If you don’t like them touching your truck. I also don’t like them touching my truck they do nothing but screw my truck up every time they touch it. They can keep their free oil change. They do more damage than good with their monkeys changing my oil. Thanks again for the tip on the electrical connection.
Did you get Hyper-Flash with your LED's after swapping those wires? My dealers Service Manager told me since I had LED's to just leave it alone. He said it will not cause any problem with LED bulbs, but if you swap those wires you could get Hyper-Flash.
No problems at all!...with the LEDs you can definitely leave it, you won’t gain any brightness...I just wanted the “open recall” knocked off my truck so it doesn’t show up in the future...but no problems with hyper flashing!
Those LED bulbs are awesome man. So it didnt cause hyper flash or you didnt have to install resistors? Are those the torch beam bulbs because when i put in my truck info that is what came up. They were priced at 13.99
I am confused. Dont we need a 4157 bulb for a 2020 tundra’s turn signals. Your link doesnt show that bulb? Is one of the bulbs listed on your amazon link the same? Or what bulb number should i look for?
the 7440's that are linked are the exact ones I purchased for my 2020 Platinum, I just went back to my purchase history to be sure! (ya had me second guessing...lol)...if you read the questions/reviews of the 7440's you'll see that many have installed them on their Tundras and they work perfectly...but if you search Amazon for JDM Astars with the number 4157 you'll get some options as well...hope that helps!
Thanks man, I appreciate that!!...I’m actually thinking about going with an aftermarket hood instead of adding a scoop by itself, I love the Amerihood look...and the TUNDRA decal I had on my hood bulge was actually made by my wife, she has a side biz making custom decals so I get lucky there, she makes all my truck/boat decals for me!...lol...shoot me a message on Instagram if ya want one, she’s sold a ton of those “TUNDRA” decals...thanks for watching man!
Hi Nitro, Amerihood are sick. love the style also. I don't have Instagram. Yep no social media for me. Let me know if I can get some tundra decal an other way. Thanks man!!!
Hey Rich!...that I’m honestly not sure, I have aftermarket taillights that have LEDs built into them so I didn’t have to swap my rears...let me see if I can find out for ya!
Absolutely, The spot that I put my TSS sensor will work for any tundra and any grill… I’ve had countless viewers do it after seeing my video and I am yet to have anyone tell me they had any issues at all… I hope that helps!
I would much rather have Toyota themselves handle recalls. Then any issue is documented. Anyone trying to do this themselves could actually ruin the connector and cancel out a valid warranty.
I would usually agree, but this one is super simple...spoke with Toyota directly before I did it and they are just going to look next time I have it there and close the recall
You better add your truck to the fuel pump recall 2018 to 2020 tundras they'll replace it for free but you got to get it in. All the sudden Toyota be recalling s***
Yea I saw that, I checked my VIN and it’s not listed for my truck but I’m going to double check with Toyota to be sure...that’s one I’m going to let them handle if it needs to be done!

I'm glad I came across this video. I'll do this on my 2019 Tundra when spring 2021 rolls around.
Nice, super easy to do!... thanks for watching!

Appreciate your video brother I'm in the same situation as I've replaced it with LEDs but will take care of it as well for piece of mind👍🏼
No prob man, thanks for watching!...definitely worth knocking off the open recall list, such an easy process to do!
Excellent explanation. Made simply and through

@@NitroZ18Fishing Cool, thanks.
@@NitroZ18Fishing I was about to ask the same question about the hyperflashing of the LED bulbs. I'll give it a shot on my truck!
Thanks going do mines myself. Great info 👍

These are the JDM Astars I got off Amazon, I think I paid like $18-$20, somewhere around there...and no resistors or anything, straight plug n play!
The direct link is in the info section of it would help, thanks for watching!

looks like the rear is a different bulb, you would need the 921's for the rear turn signals!...hope that helps!
I just bought a 2021 tundra pro grill an wasn’t sure about spending the 300 for the plastic cover will your tss mount work if I do that for mines

@@NitroZ18Fishing thanks I’m excited for my new grill
Would that a be for my 2021 as well just curious
Yepper, if your truck is listed under the recall for the turn signals, this would fix it!
What bulbs did you use ? Any resistor
No resistor, I used bulbs I got off Amazon, the direct link is below video if it’ll help!…thanks for watching!
Did u have to use a resistor to use led blinkers?
Sorry. Read below. Thanks for ur info.

I financed my new 2019 truck for 41k. I’m going to let Toyota fix their qc issue
to each their own!...I've unfortunately had bad experiences with dealerships working on my vehicles, so anything I can do myself, I do!...lol
