A huge thank you for taking the time! I have researched on this and have been pulled into problems with wiring and relays… then I found your recording and you tell it like it is. Faulty socket is not explained anywhere I have researched. Usually it’s, signal not working? Check relays. You the only one who explained the faulty socket with burned light connectors… in detail. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much. I’ve been looking all around and can’t find a simple video explaining this because I am having the same exact problems only on the passenger side. you did a good job on this video. Thanks a lot 100%.
I just replaced OEM blinker/ running light and did notice that the socket was burnt a couple days later watching your vid. Thx for you provided the explanation. Nice looking Tundra by the way. All the Best to you
Thank you for the video. This problem was driving me nuts and I was burning through bulbs. Thought it might be a short, but thankfully, just a burnt-out socket.
Thanks for the video. I ordered new headlights and could not get one of the blinkers to work. I thought I was gonna have to return it and I stumbled across your video. As soon as I switched out the recepticle for the turn signal it started working! Switching both as they both had a little burn. Thanks again!
Hi. I also have a 2017 limited and just installed led turn signals in the rear but now I have a hyper flash. Im sure the fronts would have done the same. Did you have any issues regarding this?
Thanks for the heads up I've bought a dozen of cheapo bulbs and kept replacing them until the bulb and the socket melted togather and became a single piece just last week I ordered new sockets and was wondering why was it burning bulbs.
Haha, good deal. Yeah this issue was drying me crazy because it would always be the driver side bulb, twice a year lol. Since completing this change, I have not had any issues.
So the led turn signal bulb that you used... did they have the built in resistors to stop hyper flash? Would seem to explain the over heating damage to the socket.
This problem wasn't specifically towards an LED bulb because I had this problem with OEM halogen bulbs (twice) and then eventually upgraded to LED. Once I upgraded I eventually tried premium LED bulbs with the resisters and still had an issue. Since the bulb is pricey, I went back with cheaper bulbs and also added an resistor and still had the issue. Eventually identified that the socket was causing the issue which is a known issue for some Toyota owners.

Thanks man! Having the same issue and you solved the problem!
Thank you. 😊
You made that super easy. After going through multiple bulbs. you answered my problem. Without a trip to the dealership.
Thank you very much. I really appreciated your video. Finally you help me to fix my problem for less than $10.00.
God bless you

No problem. It's become a common issue with Toyota trucks but not too common that many people are aware of.
Appreciate the easy video. Was worried I would have to replace the entire wiring harness but it was an easy fix thanks to this!

Mahalo for the video.
Can you drop a link to the exact led bulbs you used?

Are this same as on the new 2022 Tundra?
Yes from the description online it's compatible but can you please confirm your bulb type.
@@AWordFromMrJones I checked the bulb it says 7444NA, is 7443 same with 7444?
