one of my favorite serious fototripper videos so far. i really appreciate how much work you put in to get not only the great photos you share with use but the use of three camera angles to make sure you get everything to be clear is truly above and beyond. Thanks Gavin
That pano is beautiful. And you are absolutely correct. Going a bit further, working harder, trying harder will pretty much always pay off in not just photography but a lot of aspects of life.
12:44 - OK, had to pause the video there and I stared at the screen for a long time. That's absolutely 'breathtakingly beautiful'. Whatever time you had to spend stitching and blending that, it was worth every second of it. Your exceptional craftsmanship when it comes to photography aside, I hope you do realize how blessed you are to be in the part of the world that you're in :-) I have spent 3 weeks crossing the Canadian Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver Island and I am very, very jealous of the people who get to be in that kind of scenery every day they want to. :-)
I really enjoy the majority of your videos but this one is by far one of my favorites. "What could I do better" ~ I need to write that on my camera bag and look at it every time I venture out. Thanks!
WOW ... how awesome is that ... just started my Gavin Hardcastle experience on UA-cam and I am hooked already !! THANK YOU for so much inspiration for us all combined with fun ! I draw my hat sir!!
You know what ? Your best vlog to date . You discussed composition , technique and processing as well as a fantastic shot in the end . Just the right amount of humor , not over the top , excellent stuff .
Thanks Gavin. Just spent a great 2 hours with your dad (Roy) in the sunshine in their front garden, now that we have a bit more "leeway" with social distancing.
Obviously I am three plus months late to the party but I wanted to let you know that as I catch up with you two and the process of creating a camping rig, I absolutely love that panorama you have created.
I have captured focus stacked panoramas. Added in bracketing as you did. With many more shots in Bryce Canyon than you did. It really is an exercise in organization and patience. Your panorama is exquisite! Bravo!
I'm fairly new to photography (4 years) and find myself comfortable with my process and techniques now. However, you shared eight key words that really resonate with me as have an honest moment with myself. "Try harder, and what can I do better?" Thank you for those words, and the kick in the pants to keep striving to be the absolute best that I can be. Cheers!
Great Shot fototripper...!!! (9:33 mark shot) dig the leading line of the roots ....leads me right into the waterfalls.the swirl of the water....really cool...!
My first proper journey out yesterday and I spoke about how I don’t shoot waterfalls! I now know why!! This is a waterfall! Who doesn’t love a mossy cliff good chap Cliff. The tree stumps oooh 😮 totally agree, always try harder, continual improvement, make mistakes and learn. Really enjoyed spud! As always some belting shots.
Thanks Gavin for sharing your video and your ideas around looking at a image you have captured and asking yourself "what could I do better?". Images are amazing again. Your photography keeps getting better and better. Must be all that quality time spent with Amanda.
absolutely talented I'm a young photographer who enjoys your videos and love the relationship between you guys, I wish u a long loving healthy life style
4:11 "It's the things that surround the waterfall that make it most beautiful". With Amanda standing next to you, I totally agree with you! Great final picture. Well worth cold and wet feet.
As usual Gavin, a wonderful video with fantastic content and a great tutorial. Love the GMC too! Who are you kidding saying its Amanda's?? lol! It's all your's and so is she! You guys look really happy! You should have a reveal party! your fans need that in these times of woe!
I always enjoy your videos: your wonderful humor and fantastic photos. This particular video might very well have the best photographic information and inspiration that I've seen from you. Thank you for reminding all of us to keep trying and experimenting.
Gavin, you lucky one. I missed seeing Amanda at the end of the video. Littlefoot Amanda in her genuineness has a deep impact on your videos. That‘s just my opinion.
How lucky is Gavin right now, Wow beautiful waterfall shots! Somehow don't think I could get beautiful waterfall photos in Staffordshire! Well done Amanda for putting up with Gavin during lockdown 🤣
I think I got it now, Amanda was looking for a chaffeur and snacks. Lots of snacks. She didn't even insist you sat on a towel on the way home! I was watching your battery going down, thinking situation normal for our Gav, but I really like that pano; worth cold wet taters that was.
Thanks for the interesting and funny video! And the photographs are beautiful! I also like how you partitioned the screen with all important information at glance.

I do realize. I am very lucky.
@@fototripper I could also say that I'm just dumb that I didn't move there while Canada still wanted me :-) Ah well. Next life.
Nice photos its hard to make waterfalls look nice without the right light. When will we see matching outfits?
I really enjoy the majority of your videos but this one is by far one of my favorites. "What could I do better" ~ I need to write that on my camera bag and look at it every time I venture out. Thanks!
"What could I do better?" is added to my photo checklist - thanks for this excellent video and so pleased the parks are opening up again.
