Fotripper is the most refreshing vlogs i have ever seen, love this. English humor combined with my love for Photography... just the best... Like from me.. .
Hangs4Fun you’ve obviously never vacationed in the US for a certain amount of time... it’s not funny, it’s true! Way too many calories, too little veggies and fiber!
Another classic from the Gavmaster & supporting cast 🤪. That second shot of the cave is amazing and highlights the ‘scale’ issue - you wouldn’t believe it’s so small. It could very easily be one of those huge caves that you could walk through.
Your videos are now like crack. You stop posting? I go to rehab. Humor, substance, all -around goodness. Thanks for showing that chasing disappearing light is actually damn hard! Another win, Gavin. Thanks, man.
Those sandal boots are really good for kicking the heads off Rattlesnakes! I've seen photos of those "caves" before but didn't realise how small they were. Nice shots, oh great and glorious Pudgy Mountain Goat 😃👍
That bit of running around at 14minutes was so cool seeing how you work. You are truly a master photographer...and you don't need a trophy to say that....oh and Greg's "pudgy mountain goat" comment...a perfect tshirt slogan!!!!
Been watching for awhile now and just have to subscribe. Very talented, well done, informative and a fantastic sense of humor too. With this 'shit ticket' etc. hoarding going on, a good laugh is needed right now for sure. Thank you so much for what you do. We sure do appreciate it. Me and Kathy too.
Maybe my favorite of yours yet- and i have seen them all! Coincidentally going to VOF in a few days. Thanks and a shout out to Greg for a job well done.
Gavin, you just crack me up ! Your facial expressions are so funny, I think that you are the Keith Lemon of the photography world. Keep up the fantastic content, can’t wait to see more.....🤣🙏🙏🙏
Great video one again. I shot there last year and it was a great experience. I wonder if food in Canada is similar to USA... I'll cook a mediterranean dish for you if you come to Utah :) Take care!
Definitely a vlog to watch when not eating at the computer or one messy keyboard from spitting out food from laughing. Whens the Pudgy Mountain Goat t-shirt coming out?
14:15, is that a 16-35 GM on your 7RM4? In terms of todays product cycles the lens is pretty old, does its optical resolution suit the 60 Megapixel of the camera? Edge to edge sharpness? That’s btw. extremely perfect Nikon Z7 plus “cheapy kit lens” Z 24-70 F4 S.
Great tips, though I'm not sure about your choice in hiking shoes...again. :) Never even thought about brushing away the footprints. I loved seeing how you worked through your composition in the cave.
Hi Gavin, really good youtube channel, its got everything , tutorials, great peeps, and humour, bottom cherries, and that short yorkshire guy, sure he did a track in the 80's n,n,n,n,n,nineteen, nineteen.
Another great video Gavin, as a fellow Yorkshireman I love your humour and it helps your videos be even more entertaining than with just the photography alone. Your photos though never suffer from your antics, they are always excellent and you go to great lengths to explain what your trying to capture, I for one appreciate that. What I want to know is when are you going to appear on Amazon prime video? A strange question you may think, but no not really, I watch another you tuber, completely unrelated to photography, Cruising the cut he’s called and he does Narrowboat videos from the uk, he does the filming himself like you mostly do, but he now as a series on Amazon, basically they’ve just taken is early you tube videos and put em on the streaming service. You’d be ideal, humour, great scenic locations and expert tuition with great photos to finish with, a marriage made in heaven 😁😁
fototripper I’d want 50%😁😁. I’m sure amazon would be very keen, though I’m not sure what they would make of Uncle Grumpy, Heaton would be so jealous though😂
Just a stunning display of coordination and dexterity navigating that landscape near sunset, especially once you had to hustle... you clearly channeled your inner mountain lion. So nimble and graceful, as you... bounced, from one rock plateau to another... amazing. Intimidating even! Gotta get me some of that amazing and environmentally appropriate footwear. Really makes the difference 🤣
so where is Adam's photo? Who had the better image? Awwww it's okay, just the banter between you three conjures up enough images of my own. Thanks for another great video....
Another great vid - have seen this cave a few times now with you or Adam and each time I just want you to stick some strobes in there at night and shoot it from outside.
This is my first comment after watching multiple vlogs or yours... this video was absolutely hilarious and informative too. But, the best part, is to see another fat man that can hike up those hills like what was it Greg said "A Pudgy Mountain Goat"?! I'm a little older even than you and fatter so I was impressed. I did have to stop this video half way through though, I got a notification that a new vlog from Adam Gibbs and watched that first, but I did come right back to finish this one... well, I had lunch first but... keep up the good work.
REALLY enjoyed this one Gavin. A lot of fun and some seriously good images, especially the one looking from right to left. Magic matey. Looking forward to the sunrise stuff. I'm off to Grumpster's now, to see what he got. Not as good as yours me thinks.
Im not to the end yet, but man if he didnt seem truly mad! I hope theres some bloopers!! I hope one day I can snap a few shots with ya! Seems like one hell of a time!
I like the image but then I wonder if a tighter comp would have worked so you didn't see the outside of the "cave" and make it feel like it could be a huge canyon. Greg made this video! You need more Greg!
Really enjoyed this video! Love the detail you pulled out of the cave and the specifics of the exposures taken to achieve it. Having trouble wrapping my head around simultaneously doing focus stacking and exposure blending... any hints about that?
Another great video, thanks! A question comes to mind; how on earth do you mix those shots with 3 different focus point with 2 differently exposed shots? Do you focus stack first, and then blend in the different exposures or something?
@@fototripper but how can I blend those exposures if they have different areas in focus? It sounds like magic! Were can I learn that stuff mate? Do you make courses for this kind of magic?
That structure in t'cave is an ancient representation of Photographer's Knee. Not an ancient Navajo or Hopi deity, far less a mystical and long-lost paradise, but a grievous ailment afflicting all who trespass this sacred spot in Unsuitable Footwear carrying bags the size of relatives on their backs. Be ye ware!
I spent the night camping in Valley of Fire, the scorpions come out at night! Nice flip flops to have for taking a piss in he middle of the night with ;-)
I like how you had to show the out take at the end to prove Greg was just joking about your jokes...he's a very good 'actor' or was he..? Great video yet again Mr podgy mountain goat! ;)
I was half expecting a rattler to pop out of that cave while you were shooting --great shots---me and my son are to converted to the Fuji system now---its spreading --lol
Talented photographer creates comedy gold!
2 episodes before I go to work. Just sets me up for the day. Brilliant.👍🙂
You should have hundreds of thousands of subscribers! You have the funniest photography channel on UA-cam, plus your work is phenomenal. Great Job!

Feel so sorry when I see someone being mean to poor Gavin. Someone should put their arms around him. But whose are long enough?
I must agree with Grumpy. I prefer the Fujifilm as well. Another good video Gavin!
"After 3 weeks of eating American road food, I officially contracted obesity". Lmao you crack me up

Haha, loved the look on GrumpaLumpa's mush when he turned up!! 🤣🤣

Another classic from the Gavmaster & supporting cast 🤪. That second shot of the cave is amazing and highlights the ‘scale’ issue - you wouldn’t believe it’s so small. It could very easily be one of those huge caves that you could walk through.
Gavin! Beautiful shot at 11;07..........and explained very well....
Great video! it's nice there's a hint of Greg's thermo with the Argie flag next to the Ruta 40 sticker
Love this.... i may be going through every video...lots of laughs. Thanks gavin.

Great video Gavin, Stunning image to 👌 You can certainly motor in those flip flops when you were cutting through the desert chasing the light 👍
Only 2 hours of driving from Vegas, near Baker city, beautiful Dumont dunes lay out, real desert. Would love to see your photo view of them..
