Brilliant again, please never change it’s the only photography channel our daughters will watch with me ,it’s a hard world and just for a few minutes we can wish it all away , thanks so much for making us smile , we are learning as a family it doesn’t hurt to have a smile and a giggle at the same time does it now
I've watched most if not all of your videos and enjoyed them all. Really liked this video. I follow over 30 photographers, however, I always look for your new posting first. Thanks for being you.
I know that when you say “ if it turns out any good I’ll show you the shot “ that it’s going to be a hairs on the back of my neck stand up moment, bloody fantastic Thank you for sharing them with us
So pleased I’ve come across your video. I’m a hobby photographer who loves landscapes and this video just shows me how much there is I need to think about. If I’d gone to take that some shots of that area I would’ve just been concerned with the waterfall itself and would’ve missed all the interesting thing around it!! Thanks for expanding my perception
Gold. Pure UA-cam Gold! Congrats on 40k. Well deserved, but it's only the beginning! Yours is the only channel - whatever the subject - that can make me laugh out loud. Cleatus the wonder dog is a fantastic addition to the channel. Hope to see him join you on many more outings. Oh, and yeah - I learnt a lot too! Bluddy brilliant...
Very helpful video. I liked your suggestion of using wide angle for smaller, more intimate scenes. And also how you can use the distortion to stretch a part of the scene. Photos are incredible.
Omg 😆😂😂😂 I’m slowly going through your videos and I’m loving the comedy you two have created together absolutely brilliant! Keep up that Yorkshire wit 👍
Gavin, this is the best demonstration / training I've seen on how to PROPERLY get the benefits of using a Wide Angle lens, thanks so much for sharing this! I watched another F4 member's version and fell asleep! hehe
Very helpful info for using my 20mm lens. I've spent most of my career shooting in the 85mm to 105mm lengths (food photography). After watching your videos for several months through the pandemic, I’ve been inspired to start my own channel, documenting my progress learning landscape photography. I’m not a novice behind the camera, I’ve been shooting food as a pro for 10+ years, but landscapes is a different animal. Keep up the great content, you are one of several digital ‘teachers’ I have on UA-cam. PS...please keep up the locker room humor.
Great tutorial Gavin . Very entertaining as always . Nice to see someone so passionate about photography. Yet likes to have a good laugh too . Thank you for cheering us all up a bit .
Thanks for this very helpful guide on wide angle lenses. I have a 10 -20mm lens for my dx camera and I've struggled to get the best out of it so far, will give it another go after watching this!
Craziness and fantasy shall save our insane world. Watched this with my cat. You got a claw-up from him. He liked the dog wet and sliding in the dirt. I like your images - and the explanations (and that girl).
Ha ha! Brilliant! Laughed out loud and resolved to blow the dust off my 10-22. That piece when you walk off dragging Cleatus behind you, priceless. Favourite image is first one, lovely processing. Thank you.
Thank you Gavin! Definitely needed a laugh and some landscapes today. I think you have no idea how much I appreciate your channel. Please never stop! If you ever want to photograph the Alps and need some good spots, I'm all yours.
Gavin - Thanks so much for this tutorial. You have presented this in a way I had not considered before - fine adjustments for using the distortion of the wide-angle lens to your advantage. Too often I see images that contain 'foreground interest' that is just not interesting. The photographer has obviously looked for a rock leading into the image, but the viewer is really just seeing an enlarged rock with some background! I would love to see more about balancing the foreground elements, using the distortion, so that they achieve a harmonious composition, not just the desired technical elements. Your image was beautiful!
Gavin , Always nice to have Amanda in there and now you have a scruffy looking dog that gets really tired and doesn't seem to mind a bit being drug through water and over rocks. What a dog! Anyway I quite enjoyed this and the photography was really nice. A wonderful location and great information to go along with it. Thanks Gavin and Amanda! Cheers!
Absolutely love this Gavin, such a great balance of hilarious content - Cletus is comedy gold, and really good tutorial. Look forward to your next instalment
A beautiful treatment of that waterfall, Gavin, and a very useful tutorial. I laughed out loud during the Cletus footage as well. Seeing you dragging him through that stream was priceless. You are a "brilliant" idiot. Well done.
Great video. Hoping to get out tomorrow to find a field of poppies or some waterfalls. I was in Happifax from 95 to 2001. Use to have fun when loading the lorry after a stage show. Use to put a light on those queuing for the Coliseum Night club. The things we saw.
Nice and informative like always dear Gavin, I agree with what you said at the end, my sigma 10-20mm on a crop frame opens new possibilities for me and it was hard for me at the beginning to use the distortion as I wanted, especially that I haven't ever used less than 18mm lens

Just amazing. The way to know I’m watching a master is how easy you make it look.
Woke up my wife with my laughter.... Now sleeping with our Cletus... Brilliant! Gavin I can’t get enough!

Gavin, I can tell that you like to teach. You are very good at it. Thanks for sharing with all of these photo ideas and techniques.
I've watched most if not all of your videos and enjoyed them all. Really liked this video. I follow over 30 photographers, however, I always look for your new posting first. Thanks for being you.
The split-screen approach is really working well, for me. Great idea.
I know that when you say “ if it turns out any good I’ll show you the shot “ that it’s going to be a hairs on the back of my neck stand up moment, bloody fantastic Thank you for sharing them with us
Thanks for the technical tutorial...and the laughs! Your new pet was too cute and funny! 😄👏

You cracked me up with the dog. lol. Really nice mix of comedy and teaching Gavin. Keep getting those youtube views. Much respect.
The use of distortion to ur own benefit is not often suggested yet it was very nicely shown in this video. Informative as always!!
This is a gold mine of insight on the effects of social isolation in challenging living conditions. Fascinating psychology research going on here.
Omg 😆😂😂😂 I’m slowly going through your videos and I’m loving the comedy you two have created together absolutely brilliant! Keep up that Yorkshire wit 👍
So refreshing to watch and learn, thanks Gavin (and Amanda), you make it easy for a Grandma to follow!

Thanks Charlene, yeah sometimes it can look forced. I'd rather have the foreground be so compelling that you simply MUST feature it
Brilliant. Information and comedy and puppy dogs 🤣😍👍🏿❤️🐶
Best end to a video ever!
This iiiiiis madness! ^^ True that every landscape photographer tries to show a dog now... But none are as awkward as your one...
Gavin , Always nice to have Amanda in there and now you have a scruffy looking dog that gets really tired and doesn't seem to mind a bit being drug through water and over rocks. What a dog! So good to hang out with you two - if even for a few minutes. The pooch was a great add and of course the out take was brilliant. Cheers!
Thanks Gavin, That was very informative. It had never occurred to me before to manipulate the distortion of an ultrawide lens
A beautiful treatment of that waterfall, Gavin, and a very useful tutorial. I laughed out loud during the Cletus footage as well. Seeing you dragging him through that stream was priceless. You are a "brilliant" idiot. Well done.
Thanks Gavin for the Minuts of relaxing and laughing.. great Entertainment that's what we need around the World...

I love using my Tokina 11-16mm lens for intimate scenes, whether it's for landscape or for auto or for street photography.
And once again, I learned something new.
Nice and informative like always dear Gavin, I agree with what you said at the end, my sigma 10-20mm on a crop frame opens new possibilities for me and it was hard for me at the beginning to use the distortion as I wanted, especially that I haven't ever used less than 18mm lens
