    You were lucky you were in the late 80e. With your physique now you cannot even win a local show. You were jealous when Lee Haney retired and Dorian Yates appeared from nowhere. You weren't expecting an athlete of this caliber appear because you thaugth you gonna win the olympia so you started critisizing Dorain for his tatoos, etc. And other athlete appeared, new faces, Flex wheller, Kevin levrone So you had no choice except you quit bodybuilding.

    Everything is correct, but there are some issues about bodybuilding and similar power sport where muscles must be gained and maintained at its top..First of all, the principal of diet: when human's body gets protein and carbs at the same time, the digestion system comes unbalanced- for protein digestion are needed one type of enzymes and for carbs digestion are needed another type of enzymes. Only fat combines with protein and carbs, but not carbs with protein. Secondly, building muscles just because we want to look nice and attractive is like going against the Nature. Bodybuilders force their bodies to the limits and in that way they waste lots of energy- energy package that is given from the day we are born. That's why we have so many great bodybuilders and other athletes who died being very young. Another negative side of bodybuilding- constant workout and constant nourishing in order not only to restore wasted energy, but also gaining some more muscles. If you stop doing that or do this with less power and effort, you body stops building muscles..If you quit your workouts, your body sets another program- "eating" your muscles and saving body fat. This program is in our genes for many many years. Training body is very important- it is good to health, but if you cross that red line, bad things start happening. And training body must be individual- if my friend can do with bigger power, it does not mean I can follow him by doing the same..(Greetings from Lithuania from Mr. Nerijus)). Take care.

    i train at night because i work all day , my pre workout is potatoes and fish 1 hour after that i go to train and after train i drink a shake 30 to 50 minutes after the workout , the shake is 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 scoop of protein and 10 gr of creatine , then i go home and eat the last meal at day , ground beef , almonds and vegetables and then go to sleep. my question is , is that enough to fuel my muscles or i need more than just honey to get a good muscle recovery. i eat 6 meal a day and the shake . all my meals have carbohydrates except the last one. i hit all the macros that i need every day. good video keep the good job

    For you Bros in your 20s, LaBrada is the goal. He embodies what this thing of ours was supposed to be about from the beginning.
    Dying in your 20s with a horse sized heart is not where it's at. Trust me, you will not be 20 something for long and life will present more opportunities.

    • @Schaufelor
      @Schaufelor 2 роки тому

      True. A bit sad though, that he has to teach his son to be a mass monster in order to compete in this day and age.

    • @f3penang287
      @f3penang287 2 роки тому +2

      ‘Thing of ours’ - you’ve been watching too much Donnie Brasco. Talking about horse sized heart let’s be real - Lee along with his son have taken Steroids for yrs, let’s not fool ourselves here. It’s not Lean Body shakes and genetics that gave them the physiques. I like Lee, but he also has another side that he will never reveal to us - and that is anabolic steroids. This video is just a supplement commercial for the suckers.

  • @HISHAM931
    @HISHAM931 2 роки тому +1

    This is straight up clean advice with no complexity surrounding it.
    For breakfast I grab a few slices of whole wheat bread or bagels (whichever), add some scrambled eggs + banana. Right after that I take my pre-workout supplement or coffee (whichever I feel like consuming that day). I’m off to the gym the next hour.
    You honestly can’t beat this formula, your body will thank you for it and the workouts are always pleasant.
    People have gotten too attached to the concept of training while fasting. Which I can understand depending on your goals.

    • @prof113
      @prof113 Рік тому

      However, that anabolic window was way over done in the 80s and 90s. You don't need to load, just a small stream of key nutrients. The value of fasting is still very under-rated. Too many carbs might be well received by the muscle right after a workout but the rest of the body is suffering just so you can feel good about stuffing your skeletal muscle cells. Similarly, anabolic steroids make muscles grow, but that does not mean it is a sign that you are doing something good for overall health.

I eat several meals a day. Not many carbs at all. Just protein. lots of water. No protein drinks unless no time to eat.. Eat real food. If I do a protein drink its gotta be UNFLAVORED. Lee labrada has always been one of the most knowledge regarding nutrition. Even back in the day I remember watching him , and how meticulous he was regarding diet . And didn't over do it with other "supplements" had everything down too a fine science. That's why he's still got his health and looking great . Unlike alot of bodybuilders unfortunately .
    I know this is an old video.
    But what about high glucose drink and protein shake post workout? Here in the UK I always drink a can of locozade .
    Cals-198g
    Carbs- 53g
    Sugars- 37g.
    Should I leave this out when cutting?

    Wow. I will say no one from that era looks better today. That said, I was always mystified how Lee was top 3 back in the day. Abs and arms had no lines, arms weren't big, legs weren't big, not a single world-class bodypart, and not as aesthetic as Shawn or Bob. But I do remember it like yesterday when Jen Crombie brought that Muscle & Fitness she bought (or stole) at 7-11 into English class with Lee, Bob Paris and others and some bikini chicks romping on beach, back in spring '87. Listening to the girls' comments while flipping through the pages made me determined to get built. ("Built" in 1987 is "jacked" today). All them cats looked like gods then.
