- If you think about it, the core plot of these two titles isn't that different. You just swap robots with mutants, and still get two factions that have opposing philosophy about how to live with humans.

The fact this is barely different speaks volumes to MegamanX’s soundfont
I was actually contemplating whether I should try and mimic the originsal sounds, or to go with more artistical freedom and swap the instruments around a bit. Decided in the end to go with the former because it sounded so similar and the X1 distortion guitar needs more love.
I really hate Mega Man X's soundfont. It literally makes my ears ring. Imo, X2 and 3 fixed that issue.

Later on... X would find himself up against a strange man. Armed with razor sharp claws.

Yeah, I really couldn't come up with a better way to do it since the soundfont doesn't have Tubular Bells (which are one my of all time favorite instrument).
Probably could've imitated it more closely if I spent 5 days with the effects and sliders, but I generally want to keep that to a low amount.

If you play "Mega Man X" and "X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse" one after another, the music and sound effects are almost completely identical!
This would work great with X-Men Mutant Apocalypse on the SNES since that was made by Capcom too.
Also thanks for getting it right with this cover. Every single video game version made by fans seems to use the same stupid midi that gets the notes all wrong. Seriously, THANK YOU!
You mean "right enough", right?
Though I know what you mean. Very often especially when you try to find " 8-bit", you get 10 results that are the exact same midi ran through GXSCC that sound 100% identical, and it's so disheartening to see them when the only effort the uploader put on them was drag and drop, and press "convert".
I did use a midi as partial reference for this that you can find on youtube, but I refuse to do any kind of straight up importing from file when making these, because it forces me to put actual effort on working on the song and also compare the reference to the actual piece by ear, and possibly catch mistakes and provide opportunities for artistic freedom.
That happens a lot to covers of Infinity Mijinion's theme, there's a bad midi of it out there, and you can tell within the first 30 seconds or so if someone's using it.
This is amazing and honestly fits the sound of both so well. Gotta use this in a crossover

This sounds amazing! Super Nintendo had the best sound. It even sounded better than some Playstation and Sega Saturn music.

The transcript seems to believe that this piece has lyrics and they're in Arabic for some reason. See, if we HAD robots like the kind shown in Mega Man, we could ask why that is.

Now that I hear this it's kind of a shame Capcom's X-Men game on the SNES didn't use this theme. It obviously could have sounded great on the SNES.
Also a shame the game had a Psylocke stage instead of a Rogue one. 😋

Would be better with either the MMPR or MMPR: The Movie soundfont, considering Ron Wasserman did the theme for both shows.
You'd have to ask Ron to publish the samples he used, or someone to reverse engineer them (though someone might've already done that)
