It is possible the woman would have done this regardless of skin color or race. Keep in mind that her job may require her to stay with the police until there's a resolution. However, I'm aware that it is an old/retired practice for many places. I can't conclude that this was not apart of her job, based off of the video alone, nevertheless. Also, would you feel the same way as now if it was a more expensive item in question of being stolen? For example, a diamond necklace. We don't know whether this woman had racist intent or racist preferences in this moment (based off of this video alone). However, friends and family of the woman's can attest to their past behavior/actions regarding them doing/committing racism.

I worked in retail security once. A white kiosk employee called me to say that a group of black male youths was sitting on a bench being loud and driving business away. I believed him, but I can't very well tell black people to move on because other people are uncomfortable. The kiosk employee then said that the black kids were shouting at people and intimidating them. If the black kids were really harassing people then it would be reasonable to verbally warn and possibly ask them to leave, so I asked the kiosk employee what the kids said that was so harassing. The kiosk employee couldn't specifically answer despite being about 20 feet away. I asked the employee if he had other witnesses and he did not. I told the kiosk employee that if he would like to confront them that I would be present, but he was going to have to do the talking since I was not an eyewitness. The kiosk employee said he wasn't comfortable with that since it was my job. I told him it wasn't my job to remove members of the public without proof. I still came by to see if anything was going on. The black kids had moved on and the kiosk employee was more concerned about playing on his cell phone than greeting potential customers walking by. I think the latter may have influenced the lack of business.

@Aluzky Not everyone keeps receipts dumb fuck. I’ve thrown receipts straight into the garbage after leaving stores because I simply don’t need it for a $10 purchase. The fact that the woman even called the cops for a ball that probably wasn’t even worth more than $20 is absurd. There’s people dying, a $20 ball being stolen isn’t a travesty. The worst thing is that they DID pay for it and this is all for nothing.
@Aluzky I’ve seen you in a couple comments saying the dumbest shit. And clearly it seems you’ve never worked retail. You don’t have to show your receipt if you don’t want to and stores can’t make you show them, also a worker can’t stop you from leaving that’s what LP is for. First thing they tell you is never to follow a “suspected” shoplifter out the store because your life is more important plus all merchandise is insured for that exact reason. They have cameras to playback and show if someone stole or not, she chased them down with a motive to embarrass them in public thinking she caught some black folks stealing in her store.
But my question is...why couldn't he say "Yeah I bought it, here's the receipt" and then went on his way?
Victim mentality
When the policeman read the receipt, why didn‘t he turn to tell her to get her facts right and not to waste police time?
... because that’s not how it works. When there’s someone yelling and they’re clearly very aggravated, that’s more important than putting the Karen in time out
Because that was always to be expected.
It was possible that they stole the ball but it was also possible that they paid for it.

Or she could have minded her own business
@@farrahgrier And ignored a potential shoplifting? You know, any time a person walks out with an item that is in the process of being payed for can be suspicious because the store sensors might not identify it as an item that has been payed for.

People be acting like they own stakes in companies for real and not like the 2 or 3% you get sometimes for working for that company for a long period of time. Been to Walgreens for a pickup order and myself and another person saw this guy walked in and pushed a whole bag of share size skittles in his back pocket while pretending to search for someone and then left moments later but when I go to get an order that’s already paid for they act a fool like I’m trying to steal it smh

Those kiosk people are either harassing you to buy their product or sitting on their cell phones expecting people to come up and buy something.
The fact that he said to “calm down YOU ARE INTIMIDATING HER”. Ughhhh my blood pressure went through the roof.
