From the composers that brought you jams such as "Red Buster" and "Checker Trance": A new update largely focused on the soundtrack!
Some small fixes here and there too, aside from the recompositions!

"Deltarune Master Mode" is a work in progress Deltarune difficulty mod.
The mod aims to be in similar vein to Undertale Hard Mode, and plans to continue development alongside vanilla/official Deltarune - eventually becoming a full hard mode mod for the full version of Deltarune!

[Game Description]
Deltarune is a role-playing video game developed by Toby Fox. The player controls a teenage human, Kris, who is destined to save the world together with Susie, a monster, and Ralsei, a prince from the Dark World. During their quest to seal the "Dark Fountains" prophesied to end the world, the group meets the inhabitants of the "Dark World", some of whom try to stop them. The combat system is based on bullet hell attacks the player must dodge. Similar to Undertale, enemy encounters can be resolved peacefully or through violence.

Reccomendation: what about naming spamton neo as Spamton SPIRAL (referencing inverted fate mettaton spiral, which is like a perfect version of mtt ex/neo, being completely invulnerable)
@@dylanzlol7293 His name is actually locked in place, it's Spamton ZENITH! "Zenith" being used to potentially describe something at its peak, its high point... perhaps even on its S-game in terms of power.

I unironically want to hear the entire Master Mode soundtrack because these composers are genuinely amazing and loving the Hard Mode vibe they're going for. Keep up the good work!

@@ViniciusDiasissy Fun fact... SCC can play the ENTIRE OST in this mod! All vanilla songs, currently unused songs and the Master Mode tracks, but the files for some songs, especially the unused stuff, aren't in the mus folder which the game needs to play in the sound test.
Look on my GameBanana profile for that as a standalone mod! It's not up to date but the mus folder bundled with that should get at least the rest of the vanilla game songs playing.
@@RainbwSpctrmitd be cool if the area song name thing was in each area, and itd be cool if whenever a boss/secret boss uses a special attack, it does like touhou spell card names and the attack's name appears
@@dylanzlol7293 For what it is, I never saw Deltarune bullet patterns as full on danmaku-level stuff, but you know what? You're onto something!
As for area theme names... who knows? I don't see why we can't!
This is really coming together man, super excited to try it when v1.0 drops.
You might be growing up alongside with the mod then, V1.0 releases may possibly start when the full game with all its chapters is out!

That is... well that's further off than you think, and in a way that I think you'll really enjoy!
(We're doing DR-MM for the long run, we intend to do this all the way until the final game is out, all 7 (Or more) chapters and we're satisfied with the mod afterwards.)
The new music is great! Making the Jevilscloak special effect more clear was quite an important change, too. I didn’t know this was a thing until I actually casted heal prayer.

Dude, thank you for this mod. You inspired me to do a hell mode for UTY. I think, I can do this. I don't know GameMaker Studio language, though. But I managed to change many attacks in Dark Ruins now and I will drop a new alpha soon. I'll credit you in special thanks in trailer!

this is honestly one of my fav deltarune mods, just finished beating jevil yesterday and it was an actual challenge for once!

Really enjoy that, instead of making simple remixes that change a few instruments, the master mode songs have a bunch of changes from the originals that make them unique
One I particularly like is how the lancer and Susie fight now has a theme that contains both lancer AND Susie’s themes (since vs. lancer was really just a more energetic lancer)

this mod is genuinely amazing- such a fun way to replay chapter 1, and I’m absolutely looking forward to more.
to be honest, my only real criticism is with the 60fps mod that’s used as part of master mode- it causes a lot of issues with timing and stuttering (especially with timing crits or light world movement).
i definitely understand why it’s included!!! with how dense the bullet patterns can be, more frames is practically necessary to read them. but also, having an option to disable it would be really nice with the amount of issues it brings >

The ACT system makes encounters too easy it seems
There should be some small changes on acts in the future so you have to try to convince darkners more
The ACT system here is more a visualization of what's already being done under the hood by the game. Most enemies get instant 100% MERCY by default in Ch1. We'll dedicate focus on the Pacifist side of things with V0.3.0-Alpha!

However I do think “Deep Wood Discoveries” sounds too depressing but thank you to you and the team behind this mod for working so hard for the fans who want a greater challenge. None for now! All the action's localized within the Dark World; Light World doesn't give us much to work with.
Undyne founds out Alphys favorite kind of chocolate is white, and buys it for ger "only to apolagise and NOTHING ELSE"

Q.C giving makes the hot chocolate in front of Kris, having a small animation plays of her going to the door and coming back, giving kris the "pipping hot chocolate"

Oh yeah, and maybe changing how the normal darkworlds are.
Like the unused classroom darkworld has white peons, you could make them black like the ponman, and change the colours or dialogue of some other stuff, like the dust on the floor, the little bricks and stuff, the same with the other dark worlds.
I can imagine stuff getting interesting when chapter 3 releases and you could maybe change stuff in Toriel house to be like the dark world ones
"The Great Beggining" - You can really feel the strong kick when the beat drops, it really show the feels of the mod and what's about.

"Deep Wood Discoveries" - Really more somber than og, but I guess it would be better in game as the start wouldn't be repeating.
And while not one of my favorite, it shows how Susie abandoned the team for s while at the same time showing the more mystical part of the dark world.

"Attack on Card Castle" - Feels reasuring somehow, , more happy, really feels more like "yeah, let's kick that guy, we fought all theses strong enemies, how much harder it could be?"
And It's that Q. Round as a npc? I don't remember if they were there in og or not, I wonder if there would be new "dialogue" like "it seems like they're happly bouncing around".

"Lancer Cool Mixtape" - Cool song, it seems like it has that leitmotif when Lancer was trying to sound scarier right?
And the "Common!" Is also a really cool detail, it seems Lancer It's getting it from his lesser dad, and I guess It's also a reference to queen mixtape.

There's that thing in deltarune that putting "the Circus" and "dialtone" together would still make a good song, making people wonder if mixing all secret bosses sad songs is something Toby is trying to do, and if yes, I wonder if this mod will try aswell.

So while you're changing the main bosses names to not have "EX" in it, do you feel like making normal enemies have different names too?
Oh, and I wonder if the team would make something like that scrapped theme for the great board, Toby said it felt too good for a place with few stuff (said the guy who made 6 songs for the same mini bosses)
But I feel like it could be altered or just have a new song altogether, while I like the mysterious vibe, just air feels kinda empty

Next update! Dunno when that'll be since our energy's now directed on V0.3.0-Alpha, but it's coming!
As for enemies, the names are largely there by now, minus Rudinn EX, and the team's actually settled on Lancer EX due to in-jokes in the dev team! Most enemies are staying away from the 'EX' naming scheme otherwise. I.E: Bismuth Bloxer, Black Rabbick, Rudinn Duelist and so on.
Thanks!! I'm glad that you saw the vibe I was going for with Attack on Card Castle, wanted the trio's storm through the castle to be more confident after the challenges they already faced. As for Opening Night, did some subtle changes to the chords along with that little Dimentio jingle to offput the player with D.Jevil's true nature :]
actually the motif in Lancer's Cool Mixtape is just a Susie motif, the theme you're talking about IS a ripoff of that though, so good ear! and ty for the love
im having some problems with downloading the mod, when i use deltapatcher it says "an error has ocurred" i already have seen 2 tutorials and still it does not work. can you help me?

Have you tried the "Run as administrator" trick? That generally works. If not, then your game might already be modded; it needs to be clean. Worst case scenario would be Deltarune having updated on Steam and me missing that.

Funny you say that! It's on the planning board! We're already making Clover miss the memo, so we might as well make the trees open our eyes to this cruel world haha. The UT hard mode guitar rift is in the mod now anyway so we're morally obligated at this point

And while we are being cruel to the players, it would be funny if all shops prices were just a little bit higher, so you'll waste all of your dark dollars, but have enough to not have to grind so much.
Even better, maybe leave the prices the same, but do another undertale reference, and you can't sell items, everyone having a different excuse for it, like Swatch being like
