The good news is that you are showing me all the work I still need to do before body work. The bad news is that you are showing me all the work I still need to do before body work. The chassis work is killer as well. Either way, I cant say enough about how much I appreciate your channel. Cheers Mike, Big Steve and Carrapila..... WHATS FOR LUNCH?

Mike is so meticulous in the mechanicals, love it! The only thing I would have done differently is have a dedicated sacrificial socket sharpened like a punch. Heat the socket with a small torch and use it like a punch for all those frame holes. It will also keep the the bedding from fraying all in one step. Great for rugs too.

Every morn I wake up I close my eyes and pray real hard there is a new video,I get so f'n excited when there is! I could watch this all day ,and that's saying alot. What needs to happen to get 2 videos every week? I'm sure every viewer would be happy to pay $1 to $3a month to pay for big Scott to make that happen. West side till I die.

Anything you can do to minimize the work once the bodies painted is good. And if it means bolting it back to the frame to do it so be it. That all comes from experience and I think you have a ton of that as a shown in your videos. As always, very informative and great video work. Not said enough, but it is much appreciated. Living vicariously through your videos thanks again.

I just watched Mike Tidwell the firewall from the inside with the heat going down and it was just like artistry and I thought to myself. I wonder if he’s got a book or pamphlet or something of the all the cars or least some of the cars that he’s done finished, I would, really be interested in buying a copy or seeing something of the work that he’s done he’s a goddamn artist entertainer makes everything look so easy thank you. I’m thoroughly impressed with him the more I see.

It seems like I can't get enough of these videos. I know it takes a lot of effort on both ends of the camera to make them. Anyhow, I look forward to seeing a new one every week and have learned a few tricks here and there. When I was still wrenching the only cordless thing I had was a cordless drill, and now everything is cordless and seems to have as much power as air. Anyhow, thanks to all for making these great videos.

1936 ford three window and 1932 ford roadsters are my favourite body styles. What you got up your sleeve for this one carrapila. Chop and front end treatment. Or just a chop. Or a stock body? I’m sure you and Mike can sort it. Big Steve don’t worry about the noise from next door, it’s not your fault. Take care all and looking forwards to next week.

Agree with your reasoning on attaching body to frame prior to finalizing bodywork. With only webbing in between, all that metal has a "memory" that has to be respected. Later models that have rubber biscuits between body and frame present yet another set of variables because they change shape over time in a non-uniform way.

Man, with the exception of last Sunday, dad and I made it a thing to sit down, eat lunch, and watch yall work magic! We’ve been heavily enjoying the 36 ford build, because in our shop we’ve started working on my dad’s first car that he’s had since he was 13 (he’ll be 69 in a few weeks) which is a 1936 ford pickup. It’s awesome to see what all y’all come up with to make that car ride, run, and look way better than it did stock. And thank you so much Big Steve for the awesome camera work, and for getting close ups of the products and tools used in these projects. It’s been helpful in my own personal builds! Can’t wait to see the next video! Us Arkansas boys enjoy every moment!

Your way , body on , gaps fit , then body off for paint is the right way . My friend Jim will occasionally be asked to paint a car without removing all the trim . He preps the car, polishes all the chrome , cleans and waxes all the windows ...then tapes it off and shoots it He doesnt want to even touch the paint after the tape comes off . Hanging doors , hood and deck lid after paint is hard enough , adjusting all the gaps would be a nightmare ...and scratched paint everywhere
