I love that, "Chip Foose style". You can learn more about car building in any one of Mike's videos than you can learn in a whole series of Chip Foose TV shows!
Props to your cameraman. He always does a fabulous job. Editing and the final result are top-notch. His work showcases your work in the best way possible. He knows right what details to show in the video and I imagine you have some input on that. Keep up the good work you guys and I always look forward to Sundays video.
Hey…another challenge accepted and touched by Bello’s. Can’t wait to see the finish. Big Steve, adding the tidbit preview at the end is 👌🏻. As Mike says, “I love it…” P.S. Carapilla laughing when Mike took the saw away from him 😂
Great channel mike, your the man when it comes to what's right and what's wrong. Keep that great content coming and keep showing us the correct way to customize your ride.God bless.
Start off by Wishing Magic Mike, Carapilla & Big Steve a Healthy New Year 24 & I extend that wish to all those who like me have subscribed to this Brilliant Channel by the way who’s the new Locochon? 🛠️
Mike, great to see you using your “ figure it out” creativity at its best! Steve, as always a brilliant and well thought out episode with your work. Looking forward to seeing the final product guys.
Cant wait for the rest of this series. Im fixing my 35 Mustang II front end. The original owner didn't align it right, 1/8" out on 1 side. I've got to fix that and set up the air bags. Can't wait to see this ride. Thanks Mike, for sharing your skills.
Friends of ours have a 34 Plymouth coupe that runs 220mph at Bonneville when he first brought it it was 10mm out in the front end glad we caught that or it would have been an interesting week for us lol
El barrio. Chop Chop loco choncha. We don't do it twice cuz we done it right the first time. Vato locos ride smooth and quick 🤙🏾🤘🏾🤟🏽🖖🏽🤚🏽👍🏽😎😎 🌮🌮🌯🌯🍤🍪🍻.🙋🏽♂️
The problem with the front end was not air bags on a straight axle. Most of it actually looked good. It was no track/panhard bar. On the stock cross leaf there are a stack of leafs and the car hangs on little short shackles relying on gravity to keep it centered on the old roads at old speeds it made for a soft ride but not stable at modern higher speeds. In 46 till ford went independent they added more drop a track bar and sway bar also the spring was wrapped in a cover with a grease fitting to make it smoother. it worked well. So long story short they just left one leaf did not add a track bar and for some reason mounted the shocks to the shackles. yes it was probably terrible handling. All he had to do was remove the the spring mount the lower shock mounts to the axle and add a track bar. Everybody thinks the mustang 2 fronts are great but they are actually based on a pinto front and are a little light for a full sized car and have really short control arms. but do ride better than a straight axle at stock height if there set up correctly.. The straight axle has advantages in an air bag application there is no camber change or toe change at slammed or raised up. also on a lowered car the suspension travel is very limited so would the independent ride better probably not they will both ride stiff lowered. His top chopping and custom work is really amazing
Awesome ! Again hehehe , I totally agree with you about the single leaf / Wish bone front end . Should have never been put on a car that heavy either.... I can see someone having a vision of a show car ... But it has to make sense too...
Looks like it was built 30 years ago and rarely driven . It's the way things were done before the Mustang II stuff became available . Clean and a nice build in any case . Now it will be better , lots better .
According to my calculations its Sunday Funday and what better to start than with the newest bellos drop! Keep up the good work Mike hope to see you at MoonEyes homeslice!
mike muchas felicidades a ti y toda la familia igual mente a todos tus companeros , Si tu no lo podias arreglar nadie lo podia arreglar tu eres un titan suelte tremendo te felicito .
Knowing now it is a peace of mind that I know from my car getting it done right from the bottom even though it more money at the end of the day when it is done is when it matters drive right and look good como Lokochon style ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽
Ey, cut carapilla some some slack perrillo, always cracking the whip on him😆 Love your channel, Mike. Just copped a couple of t-shirts from your store to show support. Best show on UA-cam Big dog.
A lesson, hommes do it right the first time when you build your ride! Learn from Mike! No bondo on the frame, it hides the cracks! How much bondo is covering the chop top work? Very nice Marc, but what’s the rear suspension like? And what about how the brakes are attached!? See you next week, Mike!
Mike With all the brackets you make have you tried a mag clamp to hold them in place while you clean them up Just a thought ! You do some amazing work. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge, makes me want to do a Chop Top i just don't know what I'm doing!! Peace
Putting IFS and rack/pinion on the car is the only way to make it a true driver. That shadetree setup was an accident waiting to happen. No time to cheap out on a nice ride, eh Mike?
No music? Only the music of air tools and the welder. Mike making good yet again. Looks a beautiful car but looks can be deceiving. I think there’s been a few videos like this just lately. Looking forwards to part two.
All that work to add bags that sit poorly while driving. Should have used the air struts that were already in that original suspension with the new and ditched those air bag spacers. Since I am not there to know what the customer wanted as far as ride, but you can get that beam axle to handle properly going down the road at speed as well. It just takes knowing how to set it up for alignment through out the travel requirements of the vehicle. No different than setting up the double A arm suspension.

@@joebethune5330 Well, UA-cam videos. I watched faithfully, but he doesn't finish stuff, and does weird mods, so I've kinda given up.

Mike is such a wizard! It just goes to show the clients faith in Mike's work. Imagine letting someone chop up your brand new build!
Pure Genius status Mike. No more twekle rides.
Great job as usual. The customer brought it to the right place.
If we were only allowed one car kustomizing show then this would be it. Cheers everyone and Happy New Year
Love it- cars from the 40s in a shop that looks like it's from the 50s and then there's a flat-screen CAD station. If it works, it works!

Damn you aren't afraid to tackle anything!!!!!!
That was certainly a "different" way to build a front end. The system you use is much better engineered. Thanks Mike.
Well somebody almost loved this car
But that's OK Mike will adopt it and love it like it should be loved
Another solid video Mike, Big Steve & Carapilla, loving those vertical down & overhead runs Mike👍👍 Keep the content coming, great to watch!

Its called "short cuts"..you saved another one mike.
