People are mad about the term anti-aging in the title, but it doesn’t always have to be about appearance when you adopt a holistic and health food lifestyle you learn how the things we eat affect our joints, our blood mucus and so many other factors that contribute to, the way our bodies age, yes, getting older and wrinkles are the inevitable but age does not have to equate terminal illnesses, health problems and deteriorating bodily functions, especially it. Preventatives are as simple as diet change.
YES. As someone who has Alzheimer’s on both sides of my family this has felt more and more relevant for me. Some call Alzheimer’s type 3 diabetes and constantly spiking your blood sugar is definitely part of this conversation. I’ve never been “anti-wrinkles” or physical aging, just very passionate about longevity
I love your videos and…why do we have to be ANTI aging? I’m personally so tired of this term. I don’t mean this as an attack to you at all, just the industry that created it and profits from it. What an honor it is to grow older and love our bodies as we do! And these recipes are perfect for loving your body, thank you for sharing them🩷
I think she means it like some very processed foods can cause inflammation and age you faster than normal. Normal healthy aging is beautiful and I would think that she thinks so too.
Yoo I totally get where you’re coming from! However I did not mean it in that way! I have family history of Alzheimer’s on both sides of my lineage, and it’s actually considered type 3 diabetes by a lot of doctors because it’s connected to chronic insulin resistance. When I relate anti-aging with not spiking glucose levels it feels very clear to me it’s about physical longevity, versus if I said anti-aging and was sharing skincare and anti wrinkle hacks.. I honestly am very excited to age gracefully and naturally! But when it comes to my physical health, I feel very curious about prolonging the wellness of my body so that I can live in it in ease as long as possible. I guess I should have made a disclaimer for that
I'm a 19-year-old girl with gut issues and have been also trying to eat better. It can be hard at times, but your videos really help and encourage me to value my wellbeing and to nourish myself. Thanks to this I feel much better. Thank you so much Hitomi!
Gurlll, today I just did your debloating yoga practice which felt amazing and now you are posting this video on the same subject and I'm sooo greateful and happy for this event! I love your concent so much, it's so comforting for me to see you post and just be yourself in you videos ❤ sending love, peace and gratitude your way! 💓 Thank you for being just as you are ;)

Even thought I hope your gut problem heals soon and you’ll feel your best again, it’s also good to see that even you can get bloated or a puffy face (and still look gorgeous btw). It makes me realize even most perfect people online are in reality humans too and it helps me compare myself to others less :-)
the quality of this video is pristine ! it looks very professional. i remember you saying you wanted to improve your video creating and editing skills and i can already see your growth 😊❤️ even though i’ve always been in awe of the beauty each and every one of your videos possess and reflect back to me
Gorgeous recipes. Just a note Kale me needs to be lightly cooked before you eat it. Lightly steam or dip in boiling water. Our bodies can not break down uncooked kale and the wonderful nutrients are wasted if uncooked x
low fodmap helped me during a time post burnout and multiple rounds of antibiotics that effed things up for like 2-3 years, but gradually I noticed how I could eat more things, I liked this approach because it was more about amounts of certain things rather than complete exclusion, but at the same some of the things are great like cruciferous veggies and beans and if you can eat them please do, now that I can again eat a good amount of cauliflower in one meal it's such an amazing feeling!
omg this recpes are so simple, ñumy and accessible. you spirtulina oats are being part of my life since i watch your breakfast recipes video, thank u for your existence, love u
I follow Hitomi since I was 15, she always felt like hope to me. The hope of getting better mentally, leaving the city I was living in during my teens years, becoming stable financially, building strong friendships... I'm now 21 and I feel very lost currently in my journey. I wonder how Hitomi did it to continuously living that beautiful, rich life portrayed on UA-cam. I know you've talked about it already Hitomi but would you like the idea of making a new video on your journey ? (financially, being independent, do you battle fears ? The fear of living and vulnerability). And if anybody feels the same way as me, I would gladly exchange with you
Gut issues can be so tough! Having recipes like this can make it less challenging. When I was sick I also did low FOD MAP to decrease bloating and swelling. I wonder if our gut changes as we age, making us more sensitive to certain foods..
I'm always very happy when you upload a video. It always fills my day. Thank you because you and your channel helped and strengthened me during my difficult times. You have to tell me which song you put in your intro. I was amazed to hear the melody and would love to learn it on the piano.💓
Love dairy free Mac and cheese and this music 🎶 😊 These food videos are litty!!!! More of these please 😊 I could see you having your own series my love 😍
YES! I needed this. I’ve been having some gut issues + lack of restraint from sugar😭 I started fasting today. (I don’t eat until 12). The bloating I’ve been experiencing has been hurting my stomach and I’ve been feeling nauseous so it’s definitely time to chill on my gut🥲 but I’ve been craving veggies lately so I’m v happy about this video bc now I can make some yummy food
I had a parasite and SIBO at the same time and the Low FODMAP diet really helped me. but they went undiagnosed for too long and now my stomach is permanently messed up (like I wouldn't even be able to eat a lot of what's in this video), but I love seeing what you eat in a day and knowing that others are struggling with gut help kinda makes me feel better haha
How do you know when there is a parasite? I have lots of stomach issues, after I eat it takes me hours and hours to digest. sometimes I can burp and still feel food in my stomach 8 hours after I ate. 😭. Please any advice will be helpful to guide me to heal my gut. I have abused processed sugar and fried foods a lot over the last 6 years (food addict)... I am trying. Thank you for any help.
@@pb.pb.pb.pb. Honestly, that very well could be a parasite. no matter what I did or what I ate, I was always full and bloated. After NUMEROUS doctors, one finally make me take a stool test and that's how they found the parasite. If you haven't done that yet, I would recommend going to your primary care (you don't necessarily have to go to a gastroenterologist for this test) and ask them for a stool test and to look for any and all parasites.
@@BrittanyNicole Thank you for replying. I usually feel it at night, or when I eat vegetables and meats (which is always together). I guess I need to do a test then. Thanks again
@@pb.pb.pb.pb. no worries! I hope you feel better soon! you can also try a SIBO test... its a breath test that can be done at home through a kit from your doctor
yessss been eating 5 eggs a day wth raw cheese and the bloat is gone my skin is clear i have more energy and i know im doing good for my body, my local community and environment :) mental health is getting better too. its beautiful what a healthy animal based diet can do for you and why excluding fiber can help.
Your film classes are paying off already! Your videos have always relayed a sense of calm to me as a viewer; somehow, even that has been elevated recently! Amazing video as always, thanks for sharing what yummy foods you've been enjoying lately! :)
Thank you so much for these recipes and for typing them out to make a grocery list easier to plan! ❤going to eat these this week and try to heal my gut as well
You dont need to be afraid of fructose fruits🍇 = Fruit mono meals. They are the queens of all foods, hydrating, fast energy, astringent (cleanses the lymphsystem), easy to digest, highest electromagnetic energy content = high frequency food, happy food.
I am loving the aesthetics of this video! can you post about how you edit and curate content that gives a vibe? also, some tips from your studies on camera work, lighting, etc
Serendipity. When you are half way around the world taking medicine for gasitius, in need of diet change. Randomly see your upload with no prior search for said condition meals. Thank you my sister in universe.
Hey Hitomi 🦋 I can also recommend syncing what you eat with the phases of your cycle! It really helped me understand my female body more and reducing bloating and other gut problem. A good Ressource I used is The cycle syncing method 🫶🌼 hope it helps someone here 💘
I am making the vegan mac immediately😍 Thanks for sharing about gut health and food combining. That simple tip has helped me feel so much better day to day. Love you♥️
I've also been working with some bloating/trouble with digestion 🥲 been working with some super simple ayurvedic methods that have been helping, which may work for others heh Whole cumin, coriander and fennel tea first thing in the morning has felt really soothing (all of those spices are known for digestive qualities) and also just chewing on fennel seeds before or after a meal that might cause discomfort! Have also been super mindful of chewing and slow eating 🌿🤍🧚 Hope all my fellow bloated tummies find ease in digestion and what ever is causing it is uncovered and healed ✨

hi hitomi, your videos are always so relaxing and you really inspire me.💛 I am not a dietitian or anything but Lisa Kitahara from Okonomi Kitchen recently wrote an article about similar bloating she was experiencing while following a plant-based diet. I'm all for eating more plants and it could be that Lisa was experiencing something completely different - but it might help to check out her article, its called 'Moving Forward.'
About the anti-aging dislike, I would suggest well-aging. I saw it once in a video from a skincare influencer and I’ve been using it and my mom too. I feel like it’s such a lovely term and it’s true! And without conforming to all the societal ideas about aging… so that’s my take!
This cooking with Hitomi format is too adorable! You know when guests come onto Sesame Street to teach a topic? I feel like Hitomi would fill that wholesome role so well haha. Can we get a Muppet colab?
Thanks so much for your videos as always, dr Debi and medical medium talk about not having fats before noon which make your liver work harder and stop bodys natural detox process, instead having fruit or just simple greens, has helped my digestion and over well being immensely
Hey Hitomi, thank you for these simple vegan recipes-- I tried all of them! Only one I really struggled with was the sweet potato pancakes. I couldn't get the batter to cook like a pancake, it just kept sticking to the bottom of the pan and not cooking on top. Maybe because I used almond flour? Any tips?
😂.. Your friend is just like me whenever I get awesome food! Kindly asking where did you bought the pretty salad bowl? And what spice makes the salad dressing yellow? Did you use turmeric? 3. Which brand is the delicious coconut yogurt from ? ❤ Thanke you in advanced my Lovely.
Hi Hitomi! You said in the video that you like soups, so i wanna recommend you the Ukrainian one, borscht ❤ there's a bunch of vegan recipes of this soup, hope you'll like it 🥰
Amazing video!❤ Can I ask how you went about getting these tests? Here in Canada I have mentioned my gut problems and they did a stool test without telling me what they are actually testing for and just said I was fine. But I had lost almost 30 pounds in two months and felt extremely sick everyday, since then it's a bit better, I'm no longer losing weight but still feel sick all the time and having constant bloating. (I also eat generally pretty well)
That really sucks, I get the same treatment from my GP here in the UK… I’m going to consult a naturopathic doctor soon to get a gut test done. They seem to be more willing and curious to find root causes.

I thought the same! I thought I misread the title at first
I think she means it like some very processed foods can cause inflammation and age you faster than normal. Normal healthy aging is beautiful and I would think that she thinks so too.
I think anti-ageing here means longevity? Our internal health degrades with age. Eating well can make us feel more energetic and efficient.
