hello I have kantech corporate edition installed with two workstations, the pc that had a station was damaged and when I reinstall it when I want to register on the server, it throws me an error and I can't figure out where it came from, both the server and the station workstations have the same version, in the workstation I leave the blocked option distilled for authentication but when I want to register the station it throws me the error, port issue is not because everything is open and I verified it with telnet and downloading firewall and antivirus , on the workstation it throws me the error that says Authentication denied - callback failure and on the server in the log it tells me registration requested and after a few seconds it tells me registration denied and the reason for error callback failure, could you give me support that it could be what is happening
When you get Registration OK and then denied, that means that EntraPass doesn't have enough rights to write in the database. What you need to do is run the EpCeConnect.exe program as an administrator
@@kantechsupport6044 Dear, I did it on the workstation side right clicking and placing run as administrator , and the problem continues, it shows me the same message that I shared with you previously. Can you think of anything else that might be going on
Hi Team, We recently upgraded from Windows 2012 R2 to Windows 2019 Data Centre - where Kantech server/workstation is installed on. Recently after this change in OS we have come across an issue where workstations on Windows 10 clients connecting to the server hangs they are getting the message "connecting to DB" on the loading bar. Currently this is only curable by rebooting the Windows server itself. We are thinking this could be an compatibility issue of Windows server and the Kantech version we have installed. Do you know if there is change in config we need to implement or a driver update or software change to get this running smoothly? As we never had issue on Windows 2012 R2. We are running Kantech Global Edition version 6.05 - I know this is very old but we have zero guidance or support on this application.
Unfortunately, version 6.05 is not compatible with Server 2019. It is compatible with Server 2008 R2 32, 64Bits std, Win 7 32, 64 bits, Win 8, Server 2012 standard and Server 2012 R2, Windows 10. Please contact your dealer for all information on upgrading your software. If you need to find a dealer, please contact Technical support at 888-222-1560 and we will be able to supply the information.

@@kantechsupport6044 Sorry for the late reply on this but you are correct in the folder in Program Files called "Kantech" in the properties and security tab and permissions for "Users" group they require "Full Control", "Modify and "Write" permissions and this cures the problem.
Hello. If the login screen is grayed out, that usually means the server is not running or the server is not accessible at this time. Make sure to start the EntraPass server. If it is running, please contact your installation company to ask for a service call as this might be caused by database corruption.
Hi kantech. I already registered my work station. Infact its working only on local network. And all the ports are already open. But using domain name is not working. Is this toll free? because i am from Singapore

Hi Team, Some user the "Operators" password fields have become greyed out - this could be due to a network glitch my colleague also advised that the accounts are not linked to Active Directory these are local accounts to Kantech
If it's just a few Workstations, it must be a ports issue. You need 2 ports for the Workstation to function properly. 18000 inbound on the Server which must be open since some Workstations work and 18101 inbound on the Workstation computer . Please contact your local IT department or installation company if you require any help on this matter.
@@kantechsupport6044 Hi I have managed to find out what the problem was it seems like a drop in connection on the network forced local Kantech accounts (that were logged in the application at the time) to be verified through Active Directory so the passwords field on operators (users) was greyed out so I clicked on the check box "Disable Synchronization" and this allowed me to modify the accounts BUT users were still unable to login. So I had deleted and re-create the accounts but was weird is that users who weren't logged in at the time there accounts were fine. I am from the IT department from my company.
