This is awful! So are we saying that people in 1936 didn't wear shirts and jeans?! Ridiculous. Also sunglasses (tinted glass spectacles) have been around for 200 years, and were a sign of wealth. Perfectly fits in with django. And apparently no one wore jean shorts in the 60s! That was like THE decade of fashion! More ryan please
And another thing. They may have screwed the details, but 'parasols' (umbrellas), have been around a long, LONG time. You think the folks who invented Euclidean geometry, (not to mention Archimedean screws, and block-and-tackle systems for rigging on ships), HAD to use palm fronds to keep the hot sun off their skin?
Short shorts were a thing in the 50s. I know i was there. One miss for you. Also Levis were invented long before the Raiders of the lost ark and T-Shirt type styles were a thing then too. Not very popular but still a thing.
Jim Morita was with the Strategic Science Reserve, which included Howard Stark and could very well have made many anachronistic improvements to soldier's gear, including a radio headset.
Really? Never understood the love for that one. I much prefered the first and civil war. I'm a comic nerd tho, so maybe we just have different preferences.
@@williamcortelyou4524 Honestly, I also enjoyed Winter Soldier quite a lot, but I definitely wouldn't put it above Civil War. Yet, each to their own, some don't like superhero battles, and Winter Soldier was less focused on that.
Count Drunkula to me and many others there is o- wait a minute the original transformers film or the bayformers? Cause if you mean all of those you were a mistake
5:15 I’ve never actually seen Dirty Dancing, but from every random scene I’ve ever seen referenced, I always thought the movie was actually set in the 80s....I think that would be considered a wardrobe fail...🤪
9:29 Apparently, Senator Corvus didn't mind his future in-laws wearing variations of Imperial purple, but MANY of the attendants of this fight wore the royal colour too...I guess he had other things on his mind than a volcano erupting. Gee, who knew?
Alright I have to comment on this one as well. Umbrellas were used as far back as 3500BC. That's 5520 years ago. So umbrellas were used 2500 years before Troy.
OMG! If you are going to make a video about historical costume blunders, learn your history. Nero died in 68 AD and Pompeii was destroyed in 79 AD, which made it perfectly alright for them to use purple.
Did your editor get a new transitions pack this weekend because jeebus, is it ever annoying. Tell them to stick to what they’re good at. That was like Star Wars on acid.
Wow... Why am I subscribed to this channel? This is all recycled half truth content that have had dozens of videos and articles written about them. Oh that's right... Pitch meetings. Ryan's the only thing keeping this sinking boat afloat. Let him have his own channel.
So you guys took down the invisible man video, pathetic, you can't admit it and say sorry but when it's obvious you try to hide the video to begin with xD
Is it just me, or halfway through did they give up with this video? You started off explaining why the things were mistakes (ie: "zippers weren't invented until..."), But then just stopped. Why wouldn't a pink parisol have existed during Troy's timeframe? That's not average knowledge. These lists have been consistently terrible, especially compared to other movie list channels like WhatCulture. The only thing I've found good on this channel are the Pitch Meetings.
I was an extra in Glory, I met Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick. It was a cool experience
Man that's dope.

Omg I was gonna comment on that lol! I was like.. whaaaa?!
It's the generic version of the Ark of THE Covenant.
The one with the zippers is actually frustrating
Like calm down
and it is not "mistake"

3:08 "homage" the H is silent, it's pronounced like "omage"l
Although most people pronounce it like Omage it is also pronounced Homage
...and the accent should be on the second syllable: "oMAge."

You think the folks who invented Euclidean geometry, (not to mention Archimedean screws, and block-and-tackle systems for rigging on ships), HAD to use palm fronds to keep the hot sun off their skin?
errmm - totally possible that someone could be wearing jeans and a t shirt in 1930's Cairo
Plus it looked more like the basic smock type top and the loose fitting trousers that are common in the region.
I literally came here to say that. Jeans and t-shirts ABSOLUTELY existed at that time.
When a movie turns boring you start noticing everything that's wrong, Indiana Jones, he could've had a leaf blower on his back and I would've noticed.
How about the cowboy hat, sunglasses and t-shirt in Pirates of the Caribbean?
Short shorts were a thing in the 50s. I know i was there. One miss for you. Also Levis were invented long before the Raiders of the lost ark and T-Shirt type styles were a thing then too. Not very popular but still a thing.
Ryan George is the only thing keeping me subbed to this channel.
Agreed, this channel would be defunct without him.
Saaaaaaame
Jim Morita was with the Strategic Science Reserve, which included Howard Stark and could very well have made many anachronistic improvements to soldier's gear, including a radio headset.
I was thinking the same thing
I agree!
Raiders of the Lost Ark! I still have Lego sets from 2008 for that movie. What a great franchise
The Indiana Jones one is not inaccurate. Jeans and t-shirts absolutely existed at that time. He could be a tourist.
You forgot the crew member wearing jeans on "Gladiator"
The channel should focus only on the Pitch Meetings
ParkerFriends - YES!
Captain America The Winter Soldier (2014) is the best movie in Captain America Franchise in the MCU.

Please say: "Mm, I love this one. My old man gave it to me" in your epic voice
"Ark of Covenant"?
You are right that sunglasses where not widely available until 1929. HOWEVER, tinted lenses were worn as far back as the 17th century.
Alright I have to comment on this one as well. Umbrellas were used as far back as 3500BC. That's 5520 years ago. So umbrellas were used 2500 years before Troy.
I won't mind a costume design in movies because I wouldn't notice it.
Had to stop watching due to those weird transition animations giving me motion sickness.

Umbrellas are ancient. Troy gets a pass. (according to umbrella's wikipedia page)
