- Mission: Accepted features successful med school applicants. We dive into their full applications, looking at specifically what worked well, along with what they could've done even better.
To apply to be featured on Mission: Accepted, fill out the application at MissionAccepted.tv/apply.
If you like Mission: Accepted, be sure to check out our other series, Application Renovation, where Dr. Gray gives feedback to students who were rejected from medical school. We follow a similar format with full, detailed application breakdowns: applicationrenovation.com/
This is a great example of someone who may not be a great writer but spoke from the heart and that got through to the reader
Congrats on your journey and getting into med school!
Thank you Dr. Gray for having this platform. I am a Texas resident and planning to apply to dental school. Her journey is very similar to mine but she’s on the medical path! I have been struggling with my characteristics essay and this video helped me tremendously. I hope to see more TMDSAS application reviews.
And don’t even get me started on the activity descriptions character limit!!
I love the character limit! Means I don't have to come up with essays, I can just state what I did.
@@myartworkchannel they made it 500 characters now so I gotta describe and talk about what I learned but still don’t have enough soace😂
Oh my gosh she's so similar to me. My essay touched on the exact same themes
thank you sis!!! I have been looking for TMDSAS application examples and it's so hard to find!! this is a great video :)
You're so welcome!
TY FOR THIS
TMDSAS has now made the research activities section 500 characters instead of 300. Is there any recommendations about going about writing it?
I am a bit confused. There were parts of her writing that he said was "okay, that's okay to be common" within her application such as saying "I want to help" or "I felt like I couldn't do anything and wanted to do more" but on applications on Application Renovation he then mentions that he advises against saying these things. Can anyone clear this up? @Medical School HQ
yeah he seemed way nicer to her on phrases like that. on other people he'll rip them to shreds
Thats true but imo her wording is a lot better and more flushed out compared to other's describing that they "want to help".
cool
Did she mention her GPA?
