The day after I saw your video, low and behold, I found a #40 cabinet with a Singer class 66 in our local charity store. It was marked $25, but was on sale that day for 1/2 price! I bought it and it now lives in my family room. The machine is missing a few pieces, but they are easy to find on ebay. First of all I bought a power cord, and if it runs, I"ll go from there! I really appreciated your video which opened my eyes to a precious treasure. As you say, I"m sure this has plenty of stories behind it. BTW, after doing some research, I discovered my machine was manufactured on exactly the same day my Mom was born, October 11, 1928!
Thank you soooo much. After the repair shop removed the machine for service, it was up to us to reattach it to the cabinet and your video saved us so much time.
Bless you , that is a beautiful vintage Sewing machine an such a special " Rare " purchase to find the specialized sewing cabinet thank you for sharing
Nice video. I have several older sewing machines and an old sewing machine cabinet I picked up for free and want to see whether any of the machines will fit into it. The round hinge is called a "sewing machine mount hinge for cabinet" in some places where they are sold. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
$10? I'd pay $100 any day. That missing piece on the right side I believe also assists in lifting the machine. I'm also having trouble with the pull out support, I didn't know it was self operating, so that's very interesting.

OMG! I have that same Restore a Floor cleaner for my old wood floor. Never thought of using it on furniture. Thanks so much.
Thank you for the tutorial, it greatly helped me as I set up my "new" table.
Wonderful video. Thank you so much. Now I can take my machine in for service.
Your cabinet is so pretty.
Tien makes everything beautiful
Thank you for this video!!! It was a life saver.
Be careful- I "rescued" an old treadle sewing machine that was free. Now I have more than I wish to admit and they all work beautifully!
