- This is a performance of Shape of my Heart at the Golden Cat Magic Festival in Gabrovo, Bulgaria in March of 2023. It's filmed from the audience, off the large screens in the stadium.

This astonishing routine has a very sentimental meaning for me.
Not only is it without doubt the slickest and most polished card trick I have ever seen, I had the privilige to be his closeup camera operator at a show some years back.
I was so mesmerized by his card manipulation I almost dropped the camera.
Shawn really is THE master magician and a true gentleman, thanks for the memories!

Absolute legend in the field of card tricks!
The "shape of my heart" is one of the earliest card tricks I watched on youtube (maybe even the first). That was way back when I was a kid.
To this day, it remains my favorite card trick! It is really awesome to see that he still performs live!!

This has probably been my favorite piece from the first time I saw it. I intentionally say "piece" because it is a work of art. You can't just call this a trick. It has everything. The magic, the presentation and a song that means so much to me for reasons I won't go in to here.
this is single greatest card performance I've ever seen. I've watched you do it many times in many different vids, and it always holds me spellbound. the fact that it has an emotional impact makes all the difference. thanks Shawn, for creating this timeless work of art.

I could watch this routine on loop for an eternity, close to the perfect trick blending magic and song into it, making such beautiful piece of artistry.

I found this routine on youtube a long time ago. I watched it many times. My knowledge of magic was divided into BEFORE and AFTER. It inspired me to dive into, to learn more, to practice some simple routines myself. Thank youm mr Farquhar sir! You've made my life much more interesting. You're an absolute treasure.

Camera man went up too fast to his mouth. Still didn't disrupt the master piece, big koodos to Shawn too, even when shaking a lot maitained a perfection seen by few.

I saw the Fran version many years ago and was deeply touched by it. Now watching this performance and noticing the tremors makes it just as powerful as seeing it for the first time… albeit rather bittersweet. Time waits for no man. Be well.

This is my favorite trick of all time. The mastery of slight of hand and misdirection on display.
When i was in the hospital 2020, waiting to get my pacemaker, i watched this routine over an over again. I even "bothered" some of the nurses to watch it along with me. I like to be amazed by some big over the top stage illusion, but i love to be touched by "simple" sleight of hand magic that tells a story just threw the performers skills and music. Just a few weeks ago i watched "León" once again, and as the credits rolled out i went to You Tube and guess what ;).
The same as when you did it here in Sri Lanka! Love seeing this!

That show was Unbelievable.
This is the legendary combination of music and magic. I noticed that you gave up changing the jack of diamonds to the queen of spades in this performance. You've probably used "twirl changes" before, what's the reason for that?. If you don't, it's still the best act.
I switch stuff up all the time in the routine just for fun.

LOL... the cameraman didn't mess it up. He knew what to do, but someone on the intercom told him he was messing up, so yeah, I guess he did. HA.
It is very beautiful and of course magicians know how it’s done, but when are you going to sell it cuz until then none of us allowed to perform it!

I could’ve performed it many years ago since this just a card trick to a song that only sting has rights to so… But to perform his version I need to wait for Shawn to release it. I mean magicians steal from each other all the time and “borrow” different ideal but it is always nice to ask :) but a different version I know I can…
Vitaliy your answer is awesome. I would never ask anyone not to use the music or do a routine using it. I only ask they don't do my routine the way I do it. I have seen some awesome routines over the years. I had one guy do it exactly and I did ask him to stop... his response showed his lack of respect form the magic community... he said, "I'll keep doing it until I find a better ending of my show". He's a loser.
Damn time flies. Almost seems like his hands is tremoring. Very sad
Nothing sad, I'm 61 and have micro tremors. I have had them for a couple of decades, the camera just makes them more obvious. If my small imperfections make you sad, sorry.

You don't know how much you inspired me when I was young. Took me so long to reverse engineer your trick 15 years ago.
Watching your trick again and again until I could make it! Was only 18 back then!
There is a video of it on my channel, it's a bad video but a decent enough performance but who cares. It was just for me.
I was just getting into magic and your routine just made me fall in love with it even more.
