If you're referring to the arrow -> King, I checked it frame-by-frame, and it doesn't look like a card switch proper, but some kind of gimmicked arrow over the card, perhaps an elastic film wrapped around the front right around to the back. At one frame both arrow and King are momentarily visible, King partially exposed on the right side; and in the previous 3 frames you can see his thumb easing off, as if to release a vertical bar* trapped behind the right edge of the card and holding the right edge of the film. The right edge/bar then freely snaps across and right around to the back under his fingers on the left. He then disposes of the film. Too complicated? Remember, he said he spent 8 years thinking about this trick. My theory is conjectural, of course. But it's the sort of thing I would do to be sure nobody in the _video_ audience would be able to track the switch forensically. ______ *Another possibility is no bar, but the elastic film is lightly bonded vertically on the right, except where it is trapped by his thumb. When he eases off on the latter, the edge shear-forces are too much for the adhesive and it releases upward and downward from his thumb and again the whole film snaps over to the left and disappears around the back.
@@-danRYes, it looks like he used a gimmick to turn the arrow into a king. Excellent trick and I don't want to detract from it. But, one of my pet peeves with magic tricks is when gimmicked props are obviously used. The highest form of card magic is the use of a regular deck with no gimmicked props. And, if you use gimmicks, don't be obvious (the bane of big stage magic).
@@KinaestheticDmawit almost looks like it is some kind of screen that just replaces the picture, like a technical gadget but i know nothing bout magic, probably he´s "just" fast as hell.
Right from the start, just listening to Kimoon's introduction, I really wanted him to win! What a beautiful human being, and what wonderful parents. I was SO invested in wanting him to win, I just couldn't take my eyes off the screen! Thank you SO much to Gavin Wong Magic for uploading this excellent video and for using a title that didn't expose the result!!
Sensational. Just one mind twister after another, leaves your head spinning. And they way he handled the cards was also so superb, it was just a really nice touch on top of a fantastic trick. This guy rocks. Can't wait for him to come back again.
Yeah it does because when clips don't mention it, they're always not fooling them. So for this not to mention it and then the comment saying no spoilers gives it away for anyone that's watched more than a few of these. Not that I really care either way, I was just making an observation.
@@AmayziiinIt's not hard to avoid reading comments before you watch a FU video. It's impossible to avoid reading the video title. IOW, if you read comments before watching you are asking for trouble anyways.
Excellent routine and flawless performance! I have seen a lot of entertaining and great card artistry, but this is something else! Thank you for all your effort, this is great!
i’m pretty sure i caught a double lift right off the bat and thought it was going to be lame, but it just kept getting better and better. absolutely brilliant
The most amazing card tricks are the ones that seem so simple and made to look easy, but requires so much skill at the same time. There is no way any magician wouldn't be fooled at least watching the trick the first time live. There are so many misdirections that even the most seasoned would get lost
The switch from arrow card to king is the easiest thing to explain. They make special mechanical cards (Royal monte) that when turned upside down or shaken turn from a king to a queen. So I'm sure a mechanical card could be created to turn an arrow card into a king. ☺
The real magic was finding out he needed a translator. But seriously, I’m glad they said he fooled them. Because it’s one thing to know how something is done and being able to spot, or even knowing how something is done and guessing how it could be done. But it’s another thing to not being able to see something even when you’re looking for it or looking for multiple ways to do it. It wasn’t like that Jay Skanky guy who did fake moves so badly he looked like he was getting caught on a switch and then lying to his fans after how he fooled them.
The best thing is, that the first card placed in his pocket (9 of spades) was put there BEFORE spades was named. I don't know when he should be able to make a switch for that.
Your English in the act is so good that it fooled me thinking that you can speak English. Its amazing how not only did you need to learn the trick, you had to learn the dialogue in a different language
An excellent performance with a mastery of slight of hand. I've been out of the loop for a while, is Kimoon the first from Korea to take home a Fool Us trophey? (Jeki Yoo is Korean and he fooled them during the pandemic, but he doesn't count considering he lives in Vegas, now, and not Korea.)
This is almost like whack a mole. He keeps on moving the arrow and the aces so you see them but then they go away and come right back up in some place that you don't expect.
He practiced a language and a magic trick just to perform this magnificent performance. Just wow 👏🏻👏🏻
you clarified my thoughts 😄😃
What a routine! Every time I thought I saw a fishy move, the outcome was completely different from what I expected. That's brilliant.
That card switch at the end. i'm still in awe

My god, that was absolutely perfect. One of the best ever on Fool Us. Loved it!
Spectacular handling of the cards! Wow! A trophy well deserved!!! Love your sense of humor! 😎
The switch from tha arrow card to king of spades is unreal.
It’s so fast you can’t even see how he does it on 0.25x speed. Incredible.

Must be a gimmick card with a flap that folds down quick to reveal the card under

its a digital card

Beautiful card control and the moves were sharp and clean. Very well done.

Your comment inadvertently spoiled it anyways.

Bravo! Well deserved! Love Penn's gotcha at the end!
What a great routine. While it appeared easy and funny it was so much sleight of hand. A well earned trophy!
your grasp of english is amazing... your hand work is also amazing... keep working man... we need more of you
Wow. This is one of my favorite Fool Us acts I've seen. Loved the arrow. Great job!

What a brilliant routine! Incredible and so positive!
I was watching this and his FISM act. Simply fun and amazing
Congratulations! Well deserved!
Been watching Fool Us for a while. This was one of most impressive card trick magicians I've ever seen. It's non-stop tricks all in one.
Oh, wow! This trick was adorable! You've got great showmanship and you're very cute while you perform! I really enjoyed this act. Thank you :)
i had to rewatch this. not because to analyse everything, just to enjoy everything again because every moment was too fun to watch
As Penn said. Absolutely perfect. Every single move. No wonder it took 8 years to master this performance.
That was super smooth.
Pretty sure the best performance since Danny Da Ortiz. Magnificent
Very nice routine! The last change was suuuuper clean.
That was incredible. I love his energy and WOW that handling.
What a an incredibly enjoyable routine! Bravo! 👏
Penn to the interpreter: "You did a good job too"
I love him! Penn is just an amazing human being
Excellent performance and perfectly carried out, very well done, you rightly deserve to win 👏

So nice from Penn to also give Credits to the translator 👌🏼
Wow, this guy is a professional cardiologist!
Beautiful performance indeed
Brilliant magic and card trickster this Korean man Kimoon Do! ❤️🥰😍
