You can use hand clamps to hold down the beam on two or three points. You can also stack a bit more weight on the sawhorses to stabilize the table. Very nice timbers you made there! I'm into 2.5" red oak boards, or beams, or whatever you want to call it these days. 6/4 for flooring or walls, and 2.5" for framing :) I suppose your 5" by 9" just about has me beat :)
