ZEPHR film launch

A film has been launched to showcase ZEPHR (Zero Emissions Ports Hydrogen Refuelling), a project to design, manufacture and operate the first green hydrogen-fuelled Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) on the River Thames, including local green hydrogen production and storage.
Set in the PLA's head office, London River House, and featuring Julia Makin, PLA's Joint Head of Sustainability, and John Dillon-Leetch, PLA's Port Hydrographer, the film clearly outlines the project and the role the PLA is playing.
Part of the Zero Emissions Vessels and Infrastructure (ZEVI) competition, announced in February 2023, the vessel is being designed and built by SEA-KIT, funded by the UK Government and delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.
