I am an Indian living in India. You are right, this will happen soon in my lifetime. Hinduism does not limit women to think of power hence most of 2nd generation migrant women will aim for this position. In fact in India tons of women politicians are more adept at politics than men and mind you, the population dynamics in india is more rustic with plenty of different groups which may go against each other. Different language, different traditional professions, people living in forests. But all such jing bang are clear about how to deal with politician. Why are you sad? Hinduism is the only faith in the world that actually respects all religion, and has in built pluralism. If a religion was made from the principles of the American constitution, it would be Hinduism. It's a self correcting religion, that course corrects with time. It so robust that it's remained even after so many attacks and schemes to convert, yet does not push anyone to convert or react the way you did.
