94K for battery, at 105 rs/liter at 40 kmpl a petrol scooter would go 35K+ kms. Considering service cost I think petrol scooter is still cheaper in long run.

I knew a Gen 2 owner who met me at Charging Grid. He completed 80k plus KMs and he is very happy as he is still getting 70k+ KMs range per charge. He just changed Ather drive belt thrice and tires twice. It gave me confidence to rely on my Gen 3 for next 3 years. I have completed 13k KMs in 1 year. No range drop noticed yet.

Dont fast charge your scooter thats the only reason for battery degradation
I am using gen-2 from last 28 months and done 40000 kms , getting range of 95+ in eco mode . No issues with battery.
A similar incident happened to my dad's pure ev epluto 7g. Within 6 months of buying the scooter, the showroom was closed without prior intimation. Initially the scooter used to go around 100 kms on a single charge(claimed range 120kms), but after 9 months the range dropped to 85, then with in 2.5 yrs the scooters batter dropped again and again to 60, 40, 20, and less than 10 now the battery is dead within 18600kms, but the warranty is for 3yrs of 30000kms. I tried contacting the company but there was no proper support, so I have sent a notice to the company with the help of a lawer. No reply was given, so this week we are going to file a law suit on pure ev.
The build of the scooter is so poor that the swing arm of the scooter broke within 2 yrs. Pls don't buy Pure ev products.
I am pure ev owner 2 years old and range still 70 km with mbf (mini batrics farady) installed which also take some power.
@@RajeevAwasthi1Bro, the issue is that I was left stranded by the company without any service, and ran into the issue of dead battery in less than 2.5 yrs. Even when I contacted the company by mail, they did not respond properly. The way they treat their customer is like "we have sold the product and that is it".

i have almost the same problem , in my case my vehicle didn't even run 4kms on the original battery , range dropped to 60, was told to use spare battery , took them 1 year to return my original battery and it was still defective , now it's been 4 months since I gave my vehicle for battery issue , they won't even give me a spare battery this time . Imagine 4 months without a vehicle which is my primary transport . Sent two leagl notice and no reply from the company . Filed consumer complaint and my first court hearing is on Dec 4 . Share your number we should definitely use each other case filing as proof .
@@baghathsingh3998 My 7G also has the same problem. My 7G range dropped to 40 within 2 years and the showroom has almost closed down. Because they are now dealing in Petrol vehicles now!! How Ironic . There has to be a way to replace individual cells in a DIY manner. We should create a forum to discuss the 7G battery problems.
Mine 450X has done 40K+ and I make sure to drive it on Warp mode still it delivers me far better range than what you get, so I think its definitely an issue with your piece. And yah the Fast Charges are sooo helpful in those cases when we actually need them.

Being a gen1.5 owner i am completely satisfied with the product as still it gives me 100+km range in a single charge with 33k in the odo and after three years of use

My i qube also completed 20k recently and being honest there is only a bit of battery degrade like only 5 kms first my vehicle can go upto 115 easy now its about 105-110 my experience of iqube till now is very great and also i buyed it at 130k price at that time

We have a ather 450x gen 2, 1 year old, 15k km done. The battery life isn't as bad as this, but we get around 75-80km per charge.

There is definitely some issue with your battery. I have been using gen 2 ather 450x for almost 2 years. Completed 31k km and still getting a range close to 90-100 (solo). Pls check your battery health at a service centre. If the Soh has gone below 70% or if the unbalancing is more than 5%, you can get a warranty replacement.
I spoke with Veh owner, He said SoH is 63%
Gen 3 owner with 10k in the odo and one major accident, SoH is still 100%. I think Gen3 cells are way better in quality.

@@RandomGuy-om1vy Actually the quality of gen 3 is worse compared to gen 2. Most of the vehicles that come to the Kochi service centre due to battery issues are gen 3 or 3.1

My used ola S1 scooter is now running more than 16500 km but it keeps getting small complaints and now I don't get anything like you said.Is there a small range drop?
My first service experience is so bad I just can't tell you.. at this time when I am writing this message my ather is at service center. There wasn't any issue in my vehicle before service but after service there was a weird sound in the vehicle. It was so problematic that my projected range in the application data reduced from 100km to 83 km in eco mode.. it is so frustrating I just can't tell you people.. its literally irritating
20000 Kms BS6 Petrol Scooter maintenance cost;
50 Km/L Mileage Scooter requires 400 Litres of petrol to ride 20K Kms, The Cost is 400 x 102.00 = 40800.00
Every 3000 Kms Service Cost (Approx 7 Services) The Cost is 7 x 1000.00 = 7000.00
Total Cost 47800.00 or 50000.00 (Round)
Still, riding the petrol scooter saves a lot in the long run.
If we want to compare Ather with ICE scooter we should compare it with Aprilia for that ride feel and vibe.

What is the acceptable battery percentage degradation for each year ( SOH reduction acceptance limit as per warranty)
1. Maintain charge between 15% and 80% for regular use and regular charging.
OR
2. Charge fully and reduce Charge Cycle. And never kept charge lower than 10%.
This will significantly extend the health of any Lithium-ion battery. (I prefer the first one but sometimes company software tuned their battery indicator to show full charge at 80% of actual battery charge to increase their battery life)

India should concentrate more on sodium ion battery rather than litium ion batteries. 1. reduces cost of replacement 2. More efficient than litium ion batter 3. Mining sodium is not a costly process compared to litium and is abundantly available in nature.

I have seen a pattern in his videos. Last time also he had a fight regarding break disk. I have known people with gen 1.5 with more than 40k clocked. Now I am wondering about his reviews. How genuine they are. There could be three reasons. 1. He has terrible luck. 2. He is very aggressive with the vehicle. 3. this is all about entertainment.
Have u consult a service centre for this and if they denied then there is a issue it should be covered under warranty and they have to give battery replacement first

If my vehicle is not present for 45 days then how will I go to work? Ather should either give courtesy vehicle or speed up their logistics to few days.
Bro I’m getting the same issue what do I do ? They asked me to leave the scooter cause the battery is imbalanced and all they will check and balance it which will take 40 days I can’t wait for 40 days cause I have no other way of commuting. Please help on this
Me also same problem but the problem only started in service centre in 3rd service. Are they knowingly doing it. Or are they knowling giving defect scooty in first place to customer. And aftdr battery replacement only 6 month warranty. From 3 yrs to 2.5 years

Life of any pack is directly proportional to it's discharge rate and how many full discharge cycles are used.
If driven in regular or eco mode , battery should last more than 800*avarage eco mode full pack range kms.
If driven in power or wrap mode and consuming above 50wh/km will degrade the pack , no matter what.
But here with approx 250 cycles , the soh is less than 50% could be few cells are bad .
Also note, if you are charging the bike in fast charger many times, that as well accelerates the degrading.
yes i think he is using fast charger all the time as i use my home charger mostly only twice or thrice i use fast charger and many times in a week i use optimised charging that does charging between 6 pm to 5 am in morning, i have crossed 12 k km and don't face any show drop in range issue

Change the rear tyre back to factory settings and check again I'm sure it will improve. Mine has done about 34650kms and still getting 75-80 on eco mode and its exactly like yours gen 2 same colour

Hi pradeep your videos are good I have using my ather for past 2y 25k kms done no range pblm and service is also great mostly I get my vehicle with in a day and if the pblm is on company they will not ask money for it u need check your battery health with correct data and u need to tell how you charge and how often you charge, take to the nearest service station and if the degradation is very high company will definitely help u with that
I think the 94k is for the entire batter replacement, I am sure they can only replace the faulty cells. Waiting for the part 2 to come in

Also one more reason is when you use more fast charging in your ather heating will be increasing more during fast charging,due to heating cell energy density get reduced.

Go for it. Trust me, there is no other ev as reliable as ather. And there is a 60k km warranty with 70% soh guaranteed so if something goes wrong you can replace it.

Thank you pradeep, we love your videos. I decided to purchase Ather in Jan based on your review only, but need to rethink now. I think ather is providing a battery warranty up to 60k km and that too with greater than 70% battery health guarantee. Maybe with this you can get your battery replaced.
Go for Ather Bro. There is no other brand as trustworthy as Ather. It has 60k KM warranty so we will get brand new battery in case of battery degradation.😂

It's been a year and I've rode it 12k kms have the battery plan of 5 years for mg gen3 let's see how it goes. The good thing is I don't charge it immediately after I've completed a ride wait cool it down for 1 hour or 2 and then charge. Post charging wait disconnect let the charge heat settle for couple of mins and then ride. I try not to charge when it is has just arrived from ride.

My one month old ather 450x gen 4, 4.2 kw was showing 75 kms in wrap mode when I got it newly now it’s showing 74 in hardly 1 months of time
Misleading video, the SoH is below 70% meaning he can get a free battery replacement within 3 years, or 5 years if he has extended warranty. Also the title does not mention the generation, which is misleading viewers to assume the current Ather gen.

Pradeep, something is wrong with your ather,😢 I own ola s1 already 23k kms done around 1.2 years old, but there is no range drop issue and getting avg 95+kms in single charge. 30k km is vehicle warranty I'm worried about this now.😅

Use fast charging when you need in important situation, in other normal situation use normal charging to enhance battery life.

The characteristics (voltage vs soc) of li-ion are not linear even when the cells are new. As the cells degrade they become more inconsistent. Predicting the range correctly as the cells age is a challenge. You cannot directly claim that after Running x kms the health will drop by a fixed %.
Waiting for the next video, because i tvs iqube s 1 yr old and driven 9500km still now and 2 service over. After seeing this video i got worried about my battery and people who are going by ev scooter will go back to the IC engine scooter only.

You know better. Sort of agree that the variance you are seeing cant be due to just the tyres. 5-10% drop due to tyre was a no brainer but you are seeing much higher drop.

I’m planning to buy ather 450s, experience centre staff informed me that there’s a 3 years of warranty for battery as well as motor, or 30,000 kms which ever comes first, and they said that battery health doesn’t go below 70% within 3-5 years if it does they’ll replace battery no questions asked they said, so now by watching you’re video you have paid 50k for battery, will this warranty seriously work, what should I do??? I confused between ather 450s and Ola s1X+ ????
Please charging at home will keep you battery live longer than frequent fast charging.
I just booked Ather Rizta 3.6kwh version. Fingers crossed, as where I'll be riding it is mostly uphill and downhills, hope the uphills dont put too much strain on the battery.

Get the battery changed. Check state of heath in service centre. Battery has degraded below 70% SoH in my view. Ather should replace free of cost under warranty. Let's see if ather keeps its promise. Completed 20000kms on my Ola S1 pro. Range is same as on day 1.

There is something wrong with your vehicle! Range don't drop like this in just 20k kms. I don't see any drop after 15k kms on my S1 Pro and have seen people having completed 45k kms without any issue!

the real question is does owning an EV now really makes sense when you have to replace the battery at just 20,000 km? It seems owning a petrol is similar if not better than an EV
You are not paying for the replacement. Warranty is long enough for that scooter.
Then imagine the range in warp mode 😢 i guess 20 to 25kms
Go get your battery checked at a service centre! This is definitely not normal, you'll probably get a warranty replacement.
Anyways, some other issues with your test was
- bigger tyre
- throttling above the wings of power " \_/ " shape
- DIRTY belt! This affects a lot, you need to wash and make sure the belt is clean.
These definitely shouldn't affect the range as much as you showed though. Do go to a service centre and document your experience, would probably make for a better video than this.

Never put li ion battery to zero.....always maintin charge between 20% to 95 %
