I am confused between ola s1 pro gen 2 and ather 450x gen 4..almost same price in Bangalore..heard after sales in ola is pretty bad..bad ather has lower range..which one should i go for??
@@gkunzru062009 Ather would definitely have lower range, especially in the Warp Mode. Ather Grid does compensate for that to an extent though. Ather feels way more like an actual, matured, well-designed, robust vehicle than just an electronic gadget with wheels, battery and motor fitted to it. The power delivery, handling, braking is spot-on and very confidence-invoking (even for my aunty who was first looking for Jupiter 125 as the replacement for her 15yrs old Suzuki Access and she finalized Ather 450X Gen3 the moment she rode it). After-sales service is also good for Ather. We also checked TVS iQube, btw, left with disappointment due to technical issues, unreasonable and badly tuned regen, mediocre handling. +1 for Ather.
Dedication level 🔥 continuous 24 hr riding is not an easy thing bro ...

Few problems with the infrastructure and entire charging system:
1. Charging hogging problem can be solved by a queue system on app itself where you mark your queue position on a particular charger if there are people waiting on the charger then the charger shouldn't charge beyond 85% as it will waste more time from 85-95, in that time next person whould have charged more than 30-35% easily. This is especially true for fast charges. Also it will inculcate charging etiquette in people as well to not waste time rather charge to 80% then drive then charge for like 10 min if required on the way to somewhere if you really need it.
2. Ather needs to have a trip planner within the app that combines the route planning according to battery charge at the start and include the charge stops optimising the ride time and quality. Although I understand that this needs a very extensive network of charges to work effectively which ather has at least in bangalore so at least provide the facility there.
3. Ev car/scooter manufacturers need to parter up with rapido/ola/Uber to develop some kind of cross communication between their vehicle and app so that when taxi drivers use the service they are given most optimized distance according to their current charge where they are dropping a particular customer
E.g. If let's say if you have only 18kms of battery left so app should automatically avoid giving your ride over 11-12kms this will vary significantly obviously if the place is too far outside the city and charger is 10km away from drop location. Basically this can be done.
Entire ecosystem needs to be created with ev in mind. To this day even Google maps doesn't have proper route planning according to ev needs. 😕 These are some of the quality of life features they might not seem like very much but very effective to get people on board with EVs.
ecosystem doesn't work easily in indian market...we people are always behind pulling others legs down..well there can be easy system implemented into road chargers and app like one person can't charge more than certain % or time at one charger station so that other que person can get benifit.
Best part of the person is that he learnt kannada verry well because he is in Karnataka thany you bro

If anyone is hogging the charger post 80% you can call customer care and have the lock overriden by them to get it automatically unlocked remotely. Then you'll be able to use it. Had this experience in Ather when charging at Kengeri

As a Ather 450X 2nd gen Owner and who did zomato for 3-4 month's with little breaks . I know it's a pain In Ather , plus it's shockups are very stiff .

Bro Tbh, i am an ola s1 pro owner and my neighbour own ather 450x gen3 and guess what, the suspension if now really comfy, i rarely felt any bumps on the road when i drove his ather. My ola’s suspension is a little stiff and i can feel bumpy roads. So yah athers gen 3 has a good suspension

Hey Pradeep. You should do this with a bounce. Since they have swappable batteries. It’ll be very interesting to see because you don’t have to wait to charge. And I’m sure Vivekananda will agree to sponsor the video through Bounce. It’ll be an amazing video. Ather would never sponsor anyone. It’s just the way they are. Bounce might actually sponsor considering how nice Vivek is. And it’s also a scooter that Zomato people can consider buying. At its price. Bounce is much more affordable than ather
Till now! When 2023 Q2 Ola air comes up it will harm many ev startups.
@@indianhearty I don’t know man. I’ll believe it when I see it. Logically simple energy will the most VFM product then. The Ola air has both drum brakes. And a hub motor. As of now. Bounce is the only credible EV being sold at around 90-95k

Bengaluru is a real 24 hours city and Rapido is doing amazing job with this coverage across the city
while watching I was more keen on the partner fees that Rapido was charging was varying different for each trip 330R- 56PF, 146R-26PF, 126R-26PF (Ride- PF partner Fees) I noticed the more you work off your back the more PF you endup paying to Rapido which looked unfair practice to me. Hope few others might have also noticed this, mostly the surge fees for night ride mostly ended up as PF to rapido and what is the use if someone in general putting efforts to work during nights for extra income
Charging infrastructure is just super maintained with compare to other Ev's

As an Ather 1st Gen owner who did cross 40,000kms already with a daily travel of 60~70 kms and never faced any issue till date! Service and maintenance has not been a hassle switching from an IC engine to an EV has been an best decision! I usually have the portable charger at my office parking and charge it meanwhile I'm at work which kinda saves even more money and never had to face the range anxiety!

How you would like to take on subscription charges on ather? don't they lessen our savings and adds upto extra cost?

A good end with statistics about the ride charging time and range would have been perfect end. We have seen this channel as ev info content not as a regular travel vlog. So statistics about the total time spent in charging total range would have been a proper climax. All though it was very good video.

Pradeep- When your driving so long distance, In all electric vehicles You need to have a sort of temperature gauge to monitor the temperature of the battery, That is very important, In my experience I have noticed batteries becoming blotted like a balloon before explosions

Just one question, what would be the effect of fast charging on the battery life, as i have an ola and they are very paranoid about the battery, if you dont have earthing in your home, they would even void warranty on your charger and maybe even battery. If i remember correctly, chargin cycles for ola s1 pro is either 300 or 30000 km whatever comes first, without extended warranty. If somebody use this kind of hypercharging every day it would be over in a year at max
Fast charging in the long run are very damaging to EVs
Charging cycle is approx 1000 times for normal people batterwill last 3 year but for this of of charging it will barely last 7-8month
Which mobile stand did you use and will it be attactable in Ola S1 Pro?
It ticks all four points and for a normal office commute 2 or 3 days per week this is tailor made ebike

So how your bums feel after driving so long ? :P. One obvious point many would like to know who drive long.
Also, since you have driven both Vida and 450x 3rd gen, which one would you prefer in performance and riding comfort vise..
Unluckily, in Noida we don't have Vida available for test rise, so have to wait for next year...
Vida got this additional benefit of battery swap, so may be one don't have to charge it. Swap it from charging station and you are ready to go. If they can add some app feature to know which charging station have swapable battery available.
EV got lots of opportunities..
Bum was completely numb by the end of the ride. Seat is not that great for such long rides.
For now I would still pick ather until I do a extensive test with Vida
