They should see the kind of HAIL we get in the Dallas area : sometimes even the size of baseballs .
You can drive through neighborhoods and see seriously extensive damage to cars and houses even holes in the roofs .

I learned real quick as a child in Texas, hail is beautiful to look at but dangerous to play in, it can go from small fun sized pieces to dangerous softball sized pieces in just a single moment and turn fun and frolic into pain and panic.
Hail doesn’t get very large in California but there is a possibility
