How to Color Grade Underwater Video in Premiere Pro
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 жов 2019
- In this video we color grade a few underwater video clips using Premiere Pro. A few simple steps can make a huge improvement in the quality of your underwater video, make it look more rich, colorful clear and cinematic.
I took these clips using a Sony A6500 in a Seafrogs Salted Line Housing. Take your underwater videography and video editing to the next level, whether you are using a Gopro or a mirrorless or DSLR underwater camera.

Great Video. Color grading is one of the most important steps of underwater videoography and photogrophy however many struggle with it. Videos like this help everyone creat great content!
Wow thank you! what software do you use for grading? Does your process look different than mine?
@@JoeOceanside over the past year I have jumped from alot of programs but I'm now using the Adobe suite like your self. I pretty much use the same process with your self.
I'm based in Ontario so the great lakes can be blue or green water depending where you are. Colour gradding is very important.
Thanks Joe, super helpful!🐟🐡🐠🐙
Amazing tutorial. This will definitely help increase my video quality. Thank you, Joe
Wow thanks! Your channel is awesome by the way
Awesome video thanks !!
Thanks for watching!
Hello.
So should i use red filter for gopro hero 11 or color editing?
Great photos
its help a lot , thanks
Cool glad you liked. Thanks for watching
Hi,
What if I cannot match red and blue to be on the same level?
Only on 3m deep
If using a GoPro, do you shoot in RAW ?
For still photos RAW will give you the best results for color grading. For videos you can set the GoPro on Protune and then change the color setting to "Flat"
Joe Oceanside Aweosme thanks man !!
Wow, that is not what you're supposed to do with the HSL. You're supposed to set anchors and then adjust a middle anchor. It's no a curve! Also, you're curves are supposed to roll off (S curve)
Ah ok, thanks for the tip. I will try that.
If I shoot diving videos, can you help me with post-processing, I can pay you accordingly.
