Best beginner color guide I've seen, thank you SO SO SO MUCH!! I'm so grateful for this video!
You're most welcome! Glad you found it handy.
I think this is not beginners guide it is more than that 🥰
This is the best tutorial out of many . Glad you don’t talk to fast also while showing steps. Took me months to find the best example . Good job 💯
Best training👏🏻 Thank you so much!🙏🏻
For many years i have been doing it wrong. Thank you.
What a fantastic well built, well edited, and colour graded course :) Thank you so much for this!!!
Oh shucks 😊 thanks so much for watching!
Probably the best run true of the topic I’ve found. Thanks. ❤
Thanks, I'm glad it helped!
Thank you for this.. been waiting for this..
Thanks so much! Very helpful.
Nice video dude. Thank you. Keep them coming. Very nicely explained.
Great course i have been searching for some thing like this for colour grading on premier pro thanks for this course
such a helpful video, I recently got my first professional camera (Sony ZV-E1) and this is such a great tutorial. Thanks!!
I’ve watched quite a few color correcting/grading videos for premier, and I, by far, learned the most from this one. 😃 Thanks!
I'm really glad it could help! Once you get the basics down about colour workflow then you can transfer those skills across different programs like Premiere Pro and even Resolve (if you're keen on colour check out Resolve!!). It looks like they've added a bunch of new colour management tools to Premiere Pro with the latest update so I might need to jump in and check that out and maybe do a little update to this course!
Thank you so much guys! I need to learn this so badly.
Any time!
🔥🔥🔥 awesome tutorial. thank u!
Such a good video. Thank you so much!
This was GREAT! Thank you!
thank u so much for this
Beautiful Tuturial
Thanks for the tutorial! I always love watching these to refresh my memory on things I don’t use on a regular basis. Although I’m confused why you added the conversion LUT under the basic panel in the input lut. LUTs are usually always added as a look under the creative tab. I never fully understood why Premiere even has the input lut option because it’s adding it before your corrections and causes banding and other problems. I though you were only supposed to use the input lut if you plan to leave it as is?
Excellent video. Very helpful. At 21:21 you mention correcting noise in the shadows but I didn't see anything about that.
Thanks. This was helpfull
More full colour grading video ❤
Thank you , It is really worth
Great Video thanks my friend
Thanks
thank you so much !
You're welcome!
this video saved my final's project
Glad I could help! ❤️
thank you
Can we use crop on adjustment layer for cinematic Black Bar? Or by what you showed
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Yooooooohhhh it was worth my 58 minutes 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉thank you soo sooo much 🥂🥂🥂to more content
Ayyy 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻 thanks for watching and for the energy in the comments section! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you thank you
Hi Tom!! Could you please upload a road-map or learning plan for fusion? A structured outline will be a lot helpful for me. Maybe you can do one for color grading too. Thank you 🫡
(I've been asking you for fusion tutorials cuz it's very intimidating)
so nice
Really useful - thanks - where do you get your correction luts?
great
This was so helpful. I'd love to see how you fix bad footage though haha. I mean, we all know how it's like to receive client footage that has been filmed with some bad fluorescent lights that makes everyone turn yellow :')
I have a iphone 13. Are there correction luts for the Iphone 13?
*good job*
Thanks
Can you recommend me an evento paid course on color grading?@@envatotuts
Would there be LUTs for Android camera phones? Like the Tecno Camon 17?
When you shoot with your fx30 in s-log 3 cine how do you properly expose it, what do you set your zebras at?
I've been shooting different flavours of log on different cameras for years now and I'm at the point where I have a pretty good eye for it (I monitor my shots in log / no lut) but I do still check my waveform monitor from time to time just to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. I know there is no waveform in camera but if you are using an external monitor I generally tend to aim for my subject / skin tones to sit somewhere around 60-70 if I'm monitoring without a lut then I just keep an eye on my highlights and shadows to make sure I'm not pushing them too far. If you want some really in depth, from the source information check out the exposure guide from Sony here

How would you go about doing this for a travel niche where youre using the same gear but you might be hiking in the forest and then end up in a beach, or the lighting is different. depending on the time of day or where you are. Is it possible to color correct one then mass copy it as well as adding a lut for color grading and mass copying it, or do you need to pay more attention since areas, times, lighting, etc can be vastly different. Or can you direct me to a video or someone who an answer this question? Thanks!
What I would do in this scenario is have 3x correction luts for your specific camera. In preparation for this travel shoot I'd go out and get 3 clips; one that is intentionally a bit underexposed (-1), one that is perfectly exposed (0) and one that is a bit over exposed (+1). Then from those three clips you can make 3 correction luts that effectively bring those 3 clips into the same realm exposure wise whilst also adding in your base saturation and contrast. Then once the travel shoot is done and you're grading your footage, apply your correction luts to your clips (using the either the -1, 0 or +1 lut). From there you can go ahead and apply your look (these could be luts you've created or ones you've downloaded) to your corrected footage and you should get a blanket grade across all types of footage from this shoot that feels all pretty close to each other. Of course there will be some instances where you need to go through and tweak some settings but I think this would be the easiest way to go about it. But happy to hear from others if they have a different approach!
@@TutsPlusTom Thank you so much. It kinda sounds like you're talking about bracketing. I do photography. Personally, I like photography better than videography, but Im doing this youtube thing so playing with both, but more with videography atm. That makes complete sense. Only I don't use my camera when I film, I use my Iphone and I dont even know how to do that on an iphone. Not asking you to show me. I can look it up. However, I am curious if there are corrective LUTS for the Iphone 13. I cant seem to find anything regarding the 13, however I can for the 13 pro. Anyway! Thank you. Most youtubers don't reply to my messages. You just got yourself another subscriber for taking the time to chop game with me. Thank you!
@@Darewrecks415 check out the new Blackmagic Camera app for iPhone, it's going to give you a heap of professional videography tools in a free app and given you have an iPhone 13 it's going to allow you to unlock some great features there (ProRes!) - there's the ability to link your Blackmagic Cloud account and upload directly to Resolve (if you use it) for grading and you can import luts for monitoring. In terms of correction luts for the iPhone, most of the time the iPhone will be applying a look / correction lut in camera so you're not going to be starting from the same place as you would with something like log footage.
@@TutsPlusTom awesome! Thank you so much. Ill look into Blackmagic right now. Thanks again!
For the black bars is there a benefit to doing the method you did? I've done a 21:9 ratio for a lot of things but I just create my main sequence as that ratio and call it good. black bars are there automatically when it's exported. wondering what benefits there are the way you do it?
I just got the fx30. Where did you get the correction for s-log cine to rec709? Your video looks great by the way and thanks for doing this!
Hey no worries! Glad it helped. I actually grabbed those luts from the pack that come with DaVinci Resolve (which is where I do the majority of my in depth colour grading). It's free to download so you might as well check it out and have a play around with the grading tools there while you're at it and see how it compares to your workflow in Premiere Pro. It has in build correction luts for the majority of pro / consumer cameras that shoot log.
@@TutsPlusTom yeah I've been wanting to go to DaVinci resolve for years but every time I attempt it I get annoyed because I'm so comfortable and premier. I actually tried recently a few weeks ago and felt like I might have been making progress but I would have to rebuild the keyboard shortcuts unless I can find someone with premiere pro shortcuts because when I pick it in DaVinci nothing really changes so I don't even know why they have a premiere option there when it does nothing. I'm getting quite comfortable with premier though in the whole idea of it all. But the end result of what I end up shooting when I compare it to just doing no profile doesn't seem to be much better but I haven't gotten creative yet so maybe things will start to break when I try to get more creative... But I would LOVE to get away from a Adobe so I feel DR is inevitable. But I'm so deep in my projects right now with premier it's more likely to be a learning curve headache when I could have already got so much needed cutting done in premier. Having the right keyboard shortcuts would go a long way for me though to getting started...
The CC of the manual edited Picture was way off. The RGB Parade showed clearly, that the three channels were not aligning.
good
Why didn’t you add any. Basic correction/LUT? Thought that is normal to add basic and creative LUT. I’m a beginner when it comes to color correction/grading so I may be completely wrong.
Why correct colour when ultimately we change it to non realistic colour grades??
Bcze every scene of ur video is different wb, exposure, sometimes your another video got the best view, sometime it's to dark, so u need to syncronize all of ur video to get the best one sequence, sorry for bad english
To setup a base where you can work with accurate colours. Color correction is done to have neutral base or how we humans are supposed to see the colors. So you color grade will look the best.
Correct to isolate skin tones otherwise everything is subjective it’s skill
To set up base to work / play with
Also do it on davinci resolve guide
Between we love evento tuts❤
You're in luck my friend! Here's one I prepared earlier.

@@TutsPlusTom Can you provide the log footage of Tom?
ありがとう.
Your welcome.
I dont understand why after effect supports ACES COLORS while premiere pro does not.
Thanksfully i color correct with red giant magic bullet, but adobe premiere really need to improve on that point
