Oh I do hope you'll be putting in a Potting Shed in Ireland. I cherish the memories of your allotment & videos from The Potting Shed. ❤ Ive missed quite a few videos; catching up today. Its lovely to hear your voice, Dearest Jill, & share in your experience. Its nice getting to know Neil too. Be well, be blessed... & til next time... enjoy the view.
There definitely will be a summerhouse Julie. Lovely to hear from you. Hope you are keeping well. Once everything settles down I’ll be back to LR uploads. ❤❤❤
Hubby and I both laughed when we saw Manor West car park - we spend a lot of money there getting essentials we didn't know we needed when we're over doing our house project! 😅 🙌🏻 Similar to you - we pop over when we can to do more renovations and live rough 😅 in our place over in Brosna. I'll look out for you next time I'm buying very useful things in Tralee!! 🙌🏻
Maxine, we need to talk! Are you on Instagram by any chance. I have an account called Surroundedbyspruce which I haven’t uploaded to for ages, but maybe you could follow and DM me there? 😃🙌👍❤️
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland Yes! That would be great! And yes, I have a couple of old IG profiles but one fave Instagram I use these days - it's an arty one so I'll find you and follow 🙏🏻
Your allotment looks lovely! Whatever do you do with those huge tree stumps, burn them? I'm sure Bernadette was thrilled at spotting Noah, celebrity sightings are always exciting.
They’ll be moved to the edge of the top field where they can slowly decompose and possibly be a habitat for mushrooms. We plan to turn this into woodland eventually. Noel is a reluctant celebrity lol but always happy to make new friends.
Enjoyed the video as always!!!! Have two points to make, which I’m sure you have thought about already…. 1) start planting more saplings around your land’s perimeter, because before long the forestry will remove those that are around you. And the landscape is going to be very different for many a year…. Starting to plant saplings now will start to lessen the future effect when they do, it’s never to early to start. 2) POND!!!! Being as your in Ireland and the weather your get, the ground is going to always be on the wet side. Think about creating a pond and by pond I mean mini lake!!! The soil will probably naturally hold the water for you, it will reduce some of the drainage problems, it won’t solve it, but it will lessen it… Again doing it as soon as possible give the whole thing time to settle and establish itself, it is also good to do it well you have heavy digging vehicles onsite. Also having a large pond on site means you can stock it and supplement your food needs in the future…
Really good points. Yes we definitely plan to plant the whole length of the drive so we won’t feel so exposed when the landscape changes. And below the septic tank area would be a great place for a pond and wildlife area. We had been talking about this recently strangely enough. 😊
@@TheHiddenHouseIreland the only thing o would suggest about a pond is go as big as you can, don’t let your mind let you settle for something smaller that you’re find anywhere… Double whatever you come up with and even then think “could we go bigger” if you have the space go for it….
Hi it will come together when i renovated my old house it took me 15 years i don't think you will take that long chin up keep going love your video's ❤❤❤
Noel is a celebrity! You all are! Are us Clare people invited to your housewarming party too?! 😂 Noel is getting a lot done and your little tree looks well protected. 🌳
How lovely that Noel was recognised, you will have such a good network of local folk by the time you move in. The contrast between your beautiful allotment and Ireland was quite stark but in time your garden will be just as lovely.
It really is a contrast, although the allotment has been somewhat neglected and overrun with weeds. One day we’ll section off a garden area to make pretty with seating and flowering plants.
The rime of the ancient mariner came to mind as Noel was showing us the new ditch …”water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink…” Ireland looks as wet as the west coast of Scotland. At least it is fresh water. Seems as if you are making great progress. It is great that you are able to visualise what you need and how to achieve these goals.
Yes, lots of rain but no drinking water just yet. We will have our own well though when we move in. There are a few last jobs to do before putting it to bed for winter, then come the spring, full steam ahead. 😊
I used to go to that shopping mall in Tralee at least 4x a year, there are some lovely shops! My boys got many of their shoes and clothes from that TK Maxx. Amazing that Noel was recognised! And the name of your channel might be changed into „The not so hidden house with the hidden tree“ 😅 So this stunning amber tree seems to be well protected against the elements. Looking forward to your house warming party 🎉
You’re definitely invited too Eliane! The invitation is extended to Cork and Clare! 🤣 We need to continue planting in anticipation for the felling of that section of spruce plantation at some point in the future. ❤
get that smoothed out and throw some wild flower seeds out it will be awesome in the spring. i have to dig a trench for my power line in the ozarks to bad i have to do it in bedrock
Are there any worries about removing all those trees in such boggy land that it could make even boggier? Love seeing all the progress you are making and can't wait until you start building the addition. Great work!
Not really because there will be adequate drainage going all around the house which it has never had before. The foundations should be going down in the new year for both the extension and the garage. 😃🙌🏠
Thanks for updates....you're doing great! Your Cornish allotment is gorgeous but you can always replicate it in Co. Kerry. Roy is looking in fine fettle...do hope he has a GPS collar by now....we were all on tenterhooks in July when he went missing. All the best.
Watching you from Canada’s East Coast!
Welcome Millie, glad to have you here. 😍
Hello from Mt Barker Western Australia. 5 hours south of Perth.🥰
Hello and thanks for watching. Great to know our reach is far and wide. 😃🙌👍🌍

It was a Godsend during lockdown. 👍🌳
It’s a long haul but it will be WONDERFUL when it’s done! Good job so far! 😊
Thank you 🙏 ❤
I’m watching from America 🙏☘️❤️
Many in the US have an ancestral attachment to Ireland. Do you?
So much work completed and so much to go. Thanks for the lovely video. I enjoy seeing your progress.
You’re such a regular now. Thanks so much for watching! 😃🙌❤️
Thank you so much 😊❤️🏠
looks like you need to designate your piles for firewood, compost, find more permanent spots for them
great update, look forward to the next one

Aaah! I got goosebumps when you told us about the subscriber who recognised Noel 💛 Cape Town, SA 🇿🇦
I know. He was floored! 🤣

The right medicine after having to remove the trees, plant more.👍❤
There’ll be many more to come. 😊🌳

We’ll be moving in July 2925 come what may! If we have running water and electricity it will be an improvement! 🤣

Oh you and Declan most certainly are invited Janet. Wouldn't be a party without you! 🙌✨❤

That sounds like a challenge. Ozarks is stunning.
I love your videos.
Thank you 😊

well don
Thanks Patrick 😊
Is that rainwater? How will you stop your new build from flooding?
Drains. Still got loads to go in yet.
Pity about the trees🤔
Yes but it is much better without them now.
Thank god you're not... TCD
It’s my current binge watch!
