I learned the characteristic smell of Vetiver through the Demeter Vetiver.
I love Vetiver the same reason I love oud cause it’s so easy to learn about because of these colognes that just got only Vetiver! To me Vetiver smells of where it comes from, it smells very Asian, it reminds me a bit of smoked Japanese whiskey, the smoked Japanese whiskey is often still very fresh although it’s smoked so they got more of a fresh, burnt taste, just like Vetiver got a very fresh, green but a little dark scent😍
The note of vetiver is a tricky one for me. One the one hand, I enjoy the more mature, put together and dapper vibe that I get with it, but on the other hand, I don't think I 'look like the part' so to speak. Like putting on a leather biker jacket on small kid, something doesn't quite fit (pun maybe intended 😏). Perhaps I should focus on the fresher takes on vetiver for now. Really enjoyed the video!

Great line up! I really wanted to love Nishane's Sultan Vetiver - the opening is incredible for 20-30 minutes. Then, very sadly, it turns into a remarkably sh*tty aromachemical base that is just horrible. Also find Hermes' Bel Ami Vetiver to have some component that is a bit scratchy/synthetic, but maybe that's just JC Elena and his love of ISO-E? Guerlain at the top is spot on. I have one of the vintage EDC from Guerlain in the oval bottle that is just amazing.
I know what you mean on Nishane Sultan Vetiver but for some reason that aromachemical dry down doesnt bother me like some amber woody bases Guerlain Vetiver is one of the all time great frags of all time not just great vetiver
@@RamseytheRam Oh yeah, I fully agree on the position of Guerlain's Vetiver among the perfumed halls of Valhalla. Say, have you reviewed TF Grey Vetiver?
Unfortunately the "Encre Noirs" weren't able to make the list because of the name but they are inarguarbly some of the most overtly Vetiver based fragrances and the high class.
Here is the thing about OV; you are not going to get a lot of compliments on it if you are going for attention in passing. The weak projection just smells like you are extremely well bathed. If you are going to be up close and personal kissing, hugging, and more, then this is where the scent is a winner. It is an intoxicating scent, that will linger when transfered to another person's clothes or bedsheets😅
Hate em ... if you click on my livestreams and scroll through them you will see a Boadicea livestream dedicated to sniffing some of their frags for the first time... not a fan of the house lol

I know what you mean on Nishane Sultan Vetiver but for some reason that aromachemical dry down doesnt bother me like some amber woody bases
Guerlain Vetiver is one of the all time great frags of all time not just great vetiver
@@RamseytheRam Oh yeah, I fully agree on the position of Guerlain's Vetiver among the perfumed halls of Valhalla. Say, have you reviewed TF Grey Vetiver?
Nope because I actually dont own it
@@RamseytheRam Just picked up a bottle discounted at the Lauder outlet stores. Let me know if you want a decant.
Thanks!
Have you smelled Vetiver Oriental by Serge Lutens?
I have a bottle coming in 3 to 4 months 😄
@@RamseytheRam 😄😄😄
How many influencers would rank Guerlain Vetiver EDT higher than niche vetivers that cost 5+ times as much? Respect.
Truth!
But I am not an Influencer 😆🐏
@@RamseytheRamGood one.😁
Unfortunately the "Encre Noirs" weren't able to make the list because of the name but they are inarguarbly some of the most overtly Vetiver based fragrances and the high class.
Yes I am doing a this is Not a Top Ten Ranked Vetiver video this weekend & you can bet your bottom dollar they will included 🙏🙏🙏
Where can we buy a Guerlain Eau De Cologne I can’t seem to find it.
Honestly I don't know... I don't own a bottle so I never looked for it...but I am sure if you look you will find it
@@RamseytheRamthanks I enjoyed your review well done you’re very knowledgeable
I just bought roja vetiver pour homme for £152 so $190. What do you think of that price for the 50ml?
Fair price if it is real and no issues... Congrats 🥳
I know exactly what you mean
Thanks for watching & commenting 💪🐏
Bro what do you think about the brand Boadicea?
Hate em ... if you click on my livestreams and scroll through them you will see a Boadicea livestream dedicated to sniffing some of their frags for the first time... not a fan of the house lol
What about Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver?
I dont own it 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
it´s a great scent, appearently it was David Bowie´s favourite.@@RamseytheRam
And miller Harris Vetiver insolent. The oriza reminds me a bit of that. It has Iris too.
I really liked the vetiver Iris thing 🙂
I need to find a fragrance close to malizia uomo Vetyver edt by Mirato
Not familiar with that one... will have to ask the audience and see if someone can answer

Creed Vetiver is great if you don't mind paying a ton for something that doesn't last more than a couple of hours.
The older bottles do last longer....but yes I reapply throughout the day
Thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
How I Wish you put the vintage carven vetiver there😅
I dont own it... never even smelled it 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe one day 🙂
Hey Ram, btw, since you said you go to office, may I ask what is your job?)

no Cerruti 1881 vetiver?

Gib meh all teh vevtivor plz. 🤲
A great note for summer 🤌🤌🤌
My favorite note is Vetiver. Nishane Sultan Vetiver is my #1 by far.
It is a bold complex vetiver... i love it
Thanks for watching 🍻
In my opinion Bel Ami vetiver is the best vetiver ever made.
Hard to argue with that assessment my friend... thanks for watching & commenting Seun 🍻
parfum d’empire Vetiver bourbon?
Never smelled it
Thanks for watching
He says vetiver like how Dr. Evil would lol
😂😂😂
🤔
The latest batch of Sultan Vetiver has been watered down. Avoid those bottles which has a black horse at the back of the label in the front.
Thanks for watching 🍻
John Varavtos XX Artisan is a decent mid priced vetiver fragrance with similarities to Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. I enjoy wearing it.
Nice! I have never smelled that one...but will do the full Not A Top ten Vetiver Ranked video this weekend 🍻🍻
Tarea 6
Never smelled it but I will put it on the to sniff list! Thanks for watching 🍻
Why lock yourself in with a top ten just call it a top 12 and call it a day. Lol
There will be a Not a top Ten Ranked Vetiver Video soon... probably Monday
Sh!t a 50 minute long video…top 10 list. Wow, too long!
Most of my videos are like that... you dont have to watch obviously
But many watch me on 1.5 or 2X speed 😆
@@RamseytheRam Bro. I am a fragrance enthusiast too. I mean no disrespect. I am trying to start a UA-cam channel too. So far my videos are longer too 20-30 minutes.
None taken thanks for watching 🤌🤌🤌
I need to find a fragrance close to Locitane Vetyver 😢
I will try and review it soon 🙏🙏🙏
