5 years old, what a hero.
🥲🙏☺️
Animals are often happy living with people . I don't know why people are so eager to put them out in the wild .
Her secret? Cheeseballs.
@@natewilson8609 because that is their true nature?😂
Who would have thought the foster a skunk and then turn it back loose in a wild you're an awesome person
I've learned to live with the skunks that live near me. At first I was mad at them since I can't keep my window open at night in the spring. Now I enjoy seeing them. Every dog in the neighborhood has been sprayed but we're all still living together in the same neighborhood mostly peacefully.
@psychedforlife7176 So is that what you call a "mostly peaceful" spray?
Skunks are actually pretty chill & would definitely be household pets except for the stinkies. But oh my, the stinkies. Also they wouldn't be so chill without the stinkies. They're kinda like black bears that way. Black bears are quite chill 'cause who fucks with a bear?
Moved to a neighborhood that had a lot of skunks. They're actually pretty chill. I think they're cute. I enjoy seeing them around. When they bring the babies around, it's adorable.
Several cats in the yard - never had any conflict with the skunks. There's a mutual respect.
(I'm aware that wild animals can have rabies and so forth, so I don't try to pet them, obviously.)
Same! I have a garden and we have a skunk that loves to come dig out the grubs. Sometimes we cross paths (I work the graveyard shift) and when that happens, I just stand there, waiting for him to waddle on his way.
@@MsJellyBellyLove🤗They do waddle when they walk, I noticed that looking at the little skunk on the video walking toward the lady.
She is so adorable!! Thanks for rescuing and releasing her!!!
damn I was going to say that
damn u know, I hope that skunk is okay
So fluffy!!! 🥰🥰🥰 My dog got sprayed once…the smell lasted for WEEKS 😂 No amount of tomato juice, special order “skunk-be-gone” or solutions could get rid of it. I was reluctantly impressed 😂😂😂
@@goodnightmunchie tf is that even supposed to mean
@@beanboy4900...He's a troll. Ignore him. I've seen his racist and negative comments on several videos now. He's not even worth the time it takes to type a reply to his racist negativity. I think he just wants attention and reactions, no matter if positive or negative. Sad little troll.
@@SophieMia806 I’ve seen this persons nonsense too. Better just to ignore them.
@@Mrs.WyldRice ...I agree.
I have adverse reaction to any of that spray - it got on our dogs a few times and I get very overheated & sick with a pounding headache, vomiting etc.
This is just the coolest thing ever. Can you imagine a skunk trusting you that much?
They trusted me after a while so I put a couple of water bowls , and some raw eggs, they like to rinse them off and then eat them. They love cat food but it's really bad for them and will cause brain damage. Please help these beautiful critters ❤️❤️😍
!
Wild skunks are actually not that skittish. I've gotten within a few feet of a whole family of skunks, just while walking on the sidewalk, and they didn't even act like I was there.
Never heard of a rescue skunk just deciding to hang around a human without being afraid enough to spray the hell out of them in fear. Apparently that can happen if you give one enough cheeseballs to snack on, lol.
@@peoplez129 Skunks are pretty fearless.
I think something happened with skunks family or she lost her mom.
What a beautiful story! So glad she found the right human to rescue her!! And the image of her eating cheese balls will make me giggle all day... I love it 😄💕
They are super moreish
Except cheese balls aren't good for them & are definitely not a natural food source, found in the wild.
Little skunk probably dreams of cheese ball shrubs!! 🤭
Skunks are great . They will keep your area free of yellow jackets. They will dig out the nest eat the yellow jackets and if you have ground nesting bumble bees they will eat them too. Also they like cicada larvae and nymphs.
Damn how do they get away with doing that without getting stung?
@@loumason6120 shunks thick fur and highly resistant to the venom.
Bees are necessary
@@verbalkint4258 Very much so.. that's why Our creator gave them stingers!

During the summer time every year, a family of skunks wanders into my yard, even when I'm sitting outside in my lawn chair. The very first time they came into my porch while I was out there, I was so scared I'd be sprayed if I made any sudden moves. But after they kept coming out and didn't mind that I was there, I relaxed and look fwd to seeing them each night. 💙
They go under my chair, under my legs, they look at me with those adorable faces lol. 💚
As long as I stay calm and act like I don't notice them, they're fine. 💙
That is so cool! I'm happy you get to experience that. :^)

Awe ty💕I really do look forward to them every summer lol
Sounds like paradise 🥰🦨🥰
Beautiful story! You’re so lucky. I love skunks. Being able to see them up close and have their trust is an honor.
Well that's adorable
How stinking sweet is this little baby!!! Omg
Yes lil "tink tink!" 🦨
Stinking sweet is 200% accurate! Lol. :^)
This little lady knows she has a friend to hang out with and it’s cool.
I’m not an animal rescuer, but I feel like this is the best possible outcome. She's rehabilitated back to the wild but still comes back to visit you and you alone
She is adorable! Many years ago my children and I lived in a place in the country and a family of three skunks decided to befriend us and our three cats. They ate from the cats food dishes and hung out on the porch, the smallest one would rub against my legs and let me pet it. We lived there for three years and they never sprayed in that entire time! Thanks for sharing your story!
May God continue to protect this cutie for many years to come.
I love that you still treated him or her as a wild creature, just coming to get her/his treats or food. Thank you for respecting her or his wildness. Unfortunately, in the wild, they have a short life span. With human intervention, they could live up to 5 yrs.
Now that’s cute!❤
Yeah they do stink but there faces though!!🥹🥹🥹
@@Animallover888 super cute! and they don't stink if they don't ever spray. this goodnight munchie fellow on the other hand... he stinks! and probably not too cute neither.
@@bendayhostevens6607🤗 I second that emotion on the munchie monkey🙊👌🏼🤐🤡
@@Neil-de1fh🤗 I'm inclined to agree 🤣🤣
I actually cried at this for two things, 1: this is actually too dang wholesome and 2: knowing my state laws, I'll never own one of these cute little stinkers 😢♥️🦨
She’s so cutteeee 🥺 never thought I’d see such a cute skunk
She may be wild but she will always have a special place for her rescuers/Foster parents in her heart.
There is nothing more beautiful than a wild animal putting their trust in you ❤️🙌🙏
Skunks play with me a lot. Babies hang with the ferals. They like that run and stamp thing. I always take a look, indicate directions and we part ways. They come around in packs. Never spray me. Good gardeners.
😂 five years old… she is happy!!!! That’s the key to longevity for any animal
Thank you, The Dodo, for all the amazing stories all year round! Happy New Year. Wish you nothing but the very best for 2023!! ❤🎉
So cute! A friend had a litter of 5 under her porch. She fed them for months, and never got sprayed - and neither did her pets!
Such amazing animals, Glad you were there to help. Best of all, she Always has a home...
They are just so adorable! She's lived this long because she has a safe place to be always!
sweet baby. so glad she found a human who cared enough to risk the stink.
The more humans love on wild animals, the faster they will evolve and our heart chakras will grow huge.
😂😂😂😂 yes chakras are being opened and growing
TIL : secret to a long life is cheese balls...and love. Thank you for loving her 🙏❤️
What a cute little skunk! I love her! 🥰
never knew anyone who considered skunks a nuisance. they were just something it had to be careful agitating, especially with pets and children.
and I can tell you from experience, the result is hysterical, and never fatal.
My great-aunt had one. She had it fixed so it could not spray. She loved that animal.
It's so heartening to read all of the positive comments about skunks. All of my encounters with them have been friendly.. They are adorable.
This is such a sweet story and I'm so happy the little skunk still stays close to her home base. Thank you for rescuing her, bless you both! ❤
She is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
She’s so adorable
Thank you for rescuing her. Every animal deserves to live.
Behind my house it is all woods. Skunks in the backyard all the time. I feed them and have taken several "orphans" as pets. Amazing and smart animals. 🙂
Isn't it lovely this little bundle of fluff can still choose between going home or being wild❤️❤️
I had a baby skunk when I was young. My mother hated her and made me get rid of her...gave her to the local vet who had a male. I'm 55 and have never quite forgiven her for that. I loved that little furball dearly.
She’s beautiful! I’m glad she stays kinda close to home; I see too many dead on the roads.
Skunks are super amazing and loyal
See, this is how you be friends with animals: don't interfere with their wild living, but let them know that they can chill at your place every now and then because you're cool and won't hurt them.
Skunks 🦨 are so cute❤
She’s so cute and the bonds developed between a wild animal and a human is such a beautiful thing to experience.
I raised a male skunk from 6 or 7 weeks old, and they're not quite as loveable as females. He had a bit of a temper, especially if you disciplined him. His scent gland had been removed, and if it hadn't, I'd have been sprayed well more than once per week. He was litter box trained--unless you did something he didn't like, and they he's take a dump intentionally outside the box for spite (when you were watching). They're quite curious and very cute, but not very sociable (especially males). I was the only person who he'd interact with easily. Their teeth are long and sharp enough to draw blood if they're scared--or just annoyed. I kept him for almost 3 years and then gave him to a teaching game preserve, where they'd bring him to various schools. I believe he lived until he was 5.
I want that skunk.
All life is precious. This story proves that love and compassion surpasses stigma of skunks, as well as other wild animals.
I love skunks. I feed them food whenever I can. It is a privilege to care for them💗.
You're so lucky to have connected with such a special little being.
Thank you so much for rescuing her, she is very beautiful, and loving, a lot more people would be happier to know animals better, thanks for sharing it all with us 🌹
Pamela, great comment,I totally agree with you, are you vegan ?
2 years ago I thought I was feeding a cat. Ferrets are stinky. We had 3. I cooked chicken every night for the skunk but it wasn't my farm. I made it a structure on my deck. Coming home home from work we passed by each other on the deck. It was giant like my cat.
What a Sweetheart!! A long time ago I rescued a Skunk, as well. She was hit by a car. She healed, and shortly thereafter, left on her own : )
She is adorable. Thank you saving a animal and giving it a better life. Bravo
I loved that little film. Thank you!
We used to have skunks somehow they lived under the back porch and with a bunch of babies came up on the porch we fed them cat food and it was so cool, till one day we surprise them and they gave us a little shot and the place smelled bad for weeks my mom wouldn’t let us feed the skunks anymore but we did we😮 did it in the barn never got skunked after that though and we never surprised them either thanks for the video
@James Miller 🤗 Great Skunk Story Comment!!!!👌🏼
I absolutely adore skunks!
Our yard is full of skunks and we love them.
What a beautiful gorgeous skunk!🥰🦨🥰
Never squirt the lady who brings you cheese balls. Nature teaches us so much. This little girl is adorable, and she has the best of both worlds. Maybe that explains her longevity? ❤
Apart from the whole spray thing, I've always thought skunks were so beautiful. They look like little works of art 🥹
She is a sweet little friend, so lucky to meet you and get a good start in life, thank you for doing it.
Just keep her home with you she is a blessing make it official
Thanks! 5 years! AMEN
Precious little animals who are so misunderstood. Thank you for caring enough 💕💖💕
Such A short lifespan. In any case, she has you. So cute! Bless you both!
So cute. Makes me want one. Like cats do when they want you, they follow you home in hopes of you taking her in. If they don’t like you, they’re gone. Smart creatures they are. 😮
I love skunks I think they are misunderstood, they are adorable and they don’t want to spray unless they feel threatened
Oh she's so dang adorable! Precious little stink-wink!🦨❤️
We had a couple of skunks when I was a child. They're pretty fun.
Never knew that skunk also adorable !! She's such a cutie!! And you are lucky that she trust you!! Thank you for rescue her 🙏🙏🙏
Aw...she's a lovely wee thing!. Have to love the colouring of her as well, the black and white markings are really distinctive and make her stand out.
I love it.
That joy in her voice is the sound of a rehabber who gets to see a wild animal leave their arms in better shape than they arrived. There's such a sense of contentment & purpose when you see the little wild creature you love return to the habitat that makes them happiest & healthiest: the wild. You know you did your part for your little friend.
Skunks are so adorable. This woman is so lovely.
OMG! I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A SKUNK. THEY ARE SO ADORABLE 🤗🤗🤗THANK YOU FOR RESCUING THAT BEAUTIFUL SKUNK. GOD BLESS YOU AND THE SKUNK🙏🙏🙏
I had the best Ferret ever for many years! I learned that they ARE indeed a member of the skunk family and NOT weasel like many think. They also have a musk gland that is often removed. I miss him as he was so much fun and trainable. I only caged him when not home. It was more for my piece of mind. She is beautiful!!
OMG-- she is the cutest little thing I've ever seen!! If she followed me home, that would be like out of a fairy tale!
I love you, nice lady. We should all have someone like you to raise us and then set us free. Thank you so very, very much for setting your example of a role model for an animal mother. You are such a NATURAL!
Shes beautiful that would have been a new family member for sure thank you for saving her .
Goodhearted people helping those little souls. Bravo!
That’s amazing she living a full and happy life ❤ And you have given that to her ❤

I have loved skunks my whole life! She is so beautiful! Thank you for helping her....what a privilege you will never forget love from MN
She is beautiful! I love skunks so much. They are really sweet animals. I feed them for a friend in the mountains when she is away. Unless they are in hibernation, which a couple usually stay awake. 😉
They don't spray and are just like she said, dogs or cats.
This skunk is very smart & sweet. I commend her for taking such good care of the baby!
Skunks are hard not to fall in love with. Once you realize they are so awesome for the environment. Plus they are so beautiful 😍!
🌬💜✌🦨🥰
Too cute.
The cutest thing I have ever seen in my life, and I have nieces and nephews, was when there was a litter of kittens and a litter of baby skunks born in my shed at about the same time, and one night I got to see them encounter each other for the first time at about 4 weeks old, cos they were all starting to explore properly. Two of them found each other, touched noses, jumped back, touched noses again, jumped back, little skunklet raised its tail, little kitten got up on its toes and its tail went all bottle-brushy, they cautiously touched noses one more time and then both scrambled back to their mamas lol.
Skunks make great pets, just give the little girl a home.
Wild animals need to be wild. Rehab and release should always be 1st goal
@@chadd1428 I can't agree . . maybe with the majority but she's bonded well to this kind woman who took her in.

Skunks are so beautiful. If you can win an animal's trust they will love you. The best life for them is a combination of freedom; to live in the wild with the option to seek safety at home.
Huge credit to ladies like this, who see no distinction between animals as being cute and domestic or wild and potentially nuisances, but gives all of them what help they can. After all, we humans are the biggest nuisances of all to skunks and foxes and raccoons and possums and beavers!
How wonderful you are taking such good care of this girl.
She's so beautiful, what an adorable little skunk
What a lil sweetheart ❤ I’m so happy u rescued her and u still have a loving bond!
For most animal babies, one would assume running at a giant creature of a different species would be suicidal.
It’s really beautiful though that our world is good enough that this isn’t always the case. Her little cry for help was answered and her life turn out far more interesting and more happy than it would’ve been as a normal wild skunk.
Animals are the most innocent things in this world. I'll never understand how ppl can be cruel to them
I like the way the lady rescuer had a laugh in her voice that was really neat.
Amazing 🙏🏾 Thank you for saving, and educating us as well. Your kindness is appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
One amazing animal, helping another amazing animal ... cheers.
Skunks are beautiful little creatures. As I have said before on UA-cam and elsewhere, I started hand feeding the wild skunks around our house in the foothills of the Sierras, partly because I wanted them to be familiar with us. Never did go as far as having any in the house, but I was never sprayed and had the young ones coming up to me within three feet when I took the trash out as if to ask, "Whatcha doin'?"
Intelligent, beautiful little things.
On the other hand, I was chased by a large one once when I went out running at around 10 am one day. Not one of mine. This guy was obviously rabid and you'd better know what that looks like if you ever encounter one. Out in the open at the wrong time, stiff legged, agitated, aggressive and focused on their target. Any time you come across an animal acting like that, RUN AWAY!
Thank you for being different to a lot of humans and for showing love and affection to this beautiful skunk. This fantastic animal being will always know you and will unconditionally love you always. If only the whole human race was like you it would be a far better place to be. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I've heard skunks make amazing pets. They're like a mix between a cat and a dog.
