- This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. "Embrace your fears" is all about challenging your inner shelf through your every day activities, in order to reach a point where you'll experience your fear, pass throught it and become more of what you could have ever imagined.
With a background in art, editing, music, dance and acting Daniel Cloud Campos was born to tell stories. He started off his professional career as a backup dancer on Madonna's 2004 Re-Invention Tour that opened the doors into the commercial world. While continuing to dance for multiple artists and commercial companies such as Shakira, Sade, Bob Dylan, Apple, Gap and Microsoft, Daniel took every opportunity being on set to school himself for his true passion. Directing. Taking matters into his own hands he began creating his own short films that received viral recognition and built an audience world wide. Finally making his transition from in front to behind the camera Daniel has directed music videos for artists such as Paramore, Panic! At The Disco and Zedd. But Despite all of his accomplishments to date, Mr. Campos's journey has only begun. Each experience and opportunity has brought him closer to his ultimate dream of bringing story telling through music, song and dance back to the cinemas. MUSICALS! His true goal is to inspire the world through his imagination in hopes to leave a path for many to follow.

I'm a fan of Cloud for a long time. It's great to see how much he has progressed in life. From a street breaker, to one of Madonna's back up dancers, to doing numerous of commercials (recent one is Microsoft Surface), doing performances in dance, starring in music vids, starring in movies, directing music vids, working with great actors and actresses... and now giving lectures for TEDx... how many people his age has made big moves like this in life? not many. Keep up the great work Cloud

"I died the moment that I chose comfort over fear". I've lived my whole life trying to attain comfort and avoid fear. Boy, was this an eye-opener.
I've found that all the things worth doing in life scare the shit out of me. I start in over my head and by the end I'm comfortable and have leveled up.
He is out of this world! Thank you Daniel for being an open channel for pure inspiration to flow through you. Nothing about your performance or presentation was cliché or contrived. Thank you for sharing your story so freely and creatively!

Bboy Cloud is a inspiration to a lot of people not just dancers. When I first saw him dance in red bull bc one, I knew he inspired me because of his toprocks, he put his heart and s0ul into dancing and that's what dancing is about, putting your heart and soul into it and expressing yourself, You are amazing Cloud. - HL

Cloud, thank you so much. I'm crying right now. I've always looked up to you and never imagined our inner struggles would be so similar. Ever since my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away, i've put up walls, excuses, bullshit, telling myself i can't conquer challenges to be the person i want to be. I even dropped bboying, something i truly loved, out of fear of never amounting to anything substantial. It's time to break the chains holding me down and start being the monumental person i know i can be. So Cloud, i thank you
Wow, seriously blown away by this talk. Tedx tends to be pretty hit or miss with their quality, but this particular Tedx talk is one of the biggest "hits" I've ever seen
Cloud is the biggest inspiration in my life, the reason I dance, he is basically the reason why I became the person I am now.. and for that I'm very grateful.

I love that he does the dance/acting scenes in between inspirational speaking, makes it one of my favorite Ted talks, so if you're reading this Daniel, Very good job!! It's like a play you're watching that you'd pay to go see :) I'm a very visual person so the message of what you're expressing gets through much better, teared up a bit in the end even

Thank you so much for telling us your story and i can relate myself to this cause myself i was a really fearful kid growing up and never express myself and was alone most of the time,but everything changed when i started to express myself through Dance and i found out that movement are way more powerful than words,and you were one of the dancers that inspired me to start dancing and 6 years ago,and my dream is to not just inspire other people to dance but just to follow that strange feeling in the heart that gives us joy,and i think it's the most beautiful thing that a human being can do.
This video inspired me so much , after watching it I Got a job offer for the job I had been wanting for a while! I chose to just go for it after being house bound for so long due to social anxiety. Anything is possible , the only thing holding u back is yourself. 🌹

I've never ever thought of fear as a friend. I believed that fear was always a sign of something bad that should be avoided. "It is the only emotion we have that challenges us, and without a challenge we would never progress any further than where we are right now", that's such an inspirational quote. Fear isn't bad, it helps us grow into the people we want to be and fulfill the life we desire. Amazing speech!!

incredible. As an entrepreneur/actor/dancer, facing your fears is the norm.
here's the thing though, fear is not creating by anything outside our minds, fear comes from within. A new perspective will get rid of a lot of fears, a reason why to succeed will pull you through the rest.
your dreams, your goals... everything, is on the other side of your comfort zone. know this, your comfort zone is never stagnant. It is either expanding or shrinking. so whenever a chance comes to break your comfort zone, take it.
Decide today that you are going to fight for your mind. Because your mind is in a constant battle for territory, between a positive mindset, and a negative one.
So
1. focus on your dreams
2. decide to abolish your fears
3. everyday learn more about how to master your own mind.
4. surround yourself with positive people.
5. and never give up.
Life is too short to let anyone else besides you or God tell you who you can be or what you can do.
you got one life, don't let your fear control you. because in fact, you control it.
This is so amazing. Cloud you're one of the most humble, skilled and precious person I've been inspired by. The idea to share the message sharing your fears was so perfect, and your movements full of passion and communication, wow. What can I say. Just Thank you for everything.

We go through life so verbally battered and bruised (sometimes by the people who's supposed to love us the most) that it's no wonder that we go into our adult years racked with doubt and fears. It's probably the main reason some people never realize their dreams and question their purpose in life.
